@lilykit: Mama to the rescue <3
All her kits had grown up so beautifully, and there was no denying the fact that she was proud of every last one of them. Cinderpaw had grown into a mature young she-cat showing her delay in ceremony didn't make her any weaker then any other cat. Maplepaw had been chosen by their leader, and old friend, to be a representative of Midnightclan in the tournament this year, and Spottedsky was living off a different destiny. Cedarleap would never forget that ceremony where it had been announced that her son was chosen by Starclan to serve his clan as medicine cat. It set him aside from every other cat in the clan, in particular his siblings, but she loved him no less.
With everything going on he had to have been busy carrying out his duties, as had she. It made it extremely difficult to check in on him. If she wanted to check on the others she could just tag along on one of their training sessions with Silverpaw, do joint battle training or perhaps a joint hunt. Spottedsky on the other hand, she had to find free time which came about on a slim to none basis. Between patrols and training, by the time she got back to the clearing she was exhausted.
There was always a time to try and make wrongs right however, and now that she had some time to herself the calico decided there was no better time then now. So that's why Cedarleap found herself walking through the clearing towards the medicine cat den. To some degree it felt rather strange to be walking these steps. Normally cats only did so if they were hurt or knew someone that was hurt, never for just their own leisure. I'm sure he's been working hard, maybe he's hungry. With the sudden thought she cut away from her path heading to the fresh kill pile instead, picking up a meaty mouse. She wanted to make sure her son was eating, as she knew sometimes when times got busy it was something that could easily slip the mind.
"Spottedsky, are you in here?" The calico poked her head through the entrance to the Medicine Cat's Den before pushing through with the rest of her body. "It's Cedarleap, I brought you some prey, I wasn't sure if you'd eaten yet or not."
