OOC: Guess who goes mad?
What a fun twist this will be.
I'm so making a plot for this.
Moonpetal paused for a long moment, a little too long. Then she smiled once more. "Well, good," she said, but her eyes had faded. There was something there that was clearly bothering her. It wasn't just in her eyes; her whiskers were twitching, her tail was restless, and she was constantly sniffing the air. She didn't seem nervous, no, it simply seemed as if her pelt was crawling with red ants that were inching up her spine. They were cold as they walked, a chill up her spine as if she was being watched, then red-hot as they stopped at her neck. The feeling was so creepy that she couldn't help but glance around. She swore that she saw the glint of eyes at the edge of the clearing, but they were gone before they were there.
W-What's going on? It's as if my mind is playing tricks on me... but it doesn't feel like it... Shaking her head, the sleek black she-cat opened her mouth to say something cheerful when a voice whispered in the back of her head...
You are being watched...
Something inside of her tried to grab on to her own self-control, but whatever this was, it had too strong of a hold over her emotions. An overwhelming terror crept into her belly, and she had to fight to stay in place. Everywhere she looked, amber eyes stared back at her. Cold and filled with disdain, triumphant and mocking. Amber amber amber amber amber amber amber amber amber-
Muttering a hasty farewell to Riverpool, Moonpetal spun and made a break for it across the clearing. She ran into multiple cats on her way, but she didn't hear their words and didn't stop. Cats were staring, but she hardly noticed. Something was following her, something that you couldn't see, but it was there, running alongside her and whispering into her ear. It touched her fur with a cold paw and she stumbled, her vision blurring with blinding fear. No! She had to stay strong! She couldn't let fear overwhelm her.
Well, apparently she could. Because the next thing that she knew, she had arrived at the edge of the clearing, and was racing through the trees, crashing through bushes, thorns tearing at her pelt. However quickly she ran, or however loudly her heart beat, the thing was still there beside her, whispering things into her ear.
Dawnwhisper felt something smack into her shoulder, and she toppled forward.
Springing to her paws, the golden she-cat spun around, a furious snarl on her face, ready to shove back, but the only thing that she was was the black tail of some cat disappearing into the crowd.
Foxwhisper just happened to glance up at the same moment that her sister crashed into the undergrowth at the edge of the clearing.
"M-Moonpetal?" she whispered, eyes widening. Had something's happened?
OOC: Will continue the whole thing with that in another thread~
