Roselocke
Weaselsplash couldn't sleep he couldn't stop thinking of Larkbreeze. He missed her he hadn't seen her in moons and it hurt. 'Is this what a broken heart feels like?' he asked himself getting up from his nest. He hadn't meant to fall in love with Larkbreeze but he had. She had been a Sunsetclan warrior but he hadn't cared. He hadn't even been able to tell her how he felt because she had disappeared before he had gotten up the courage. 'If I ever fall in love again I won't waste any time, I'll tell the girl how I feel,' he thought slipping out of the warriors den.
He spent most of his nights at the Pond of Truce looking for the cat he had loved so much but she was never there when he went and he hadn't seen her at gatherings for moons. It was like she had never exited or that he had just dreamed her up. 'Maybe she was just a figment of my imagination,' he thought with a shake of his head. He missed feeling her fur brush against his and he missed seeing her smile. He often wondered why life had to be so complicated.
His father had disappeared and was probably dead. His mother had been found dead in the territory and he rarely talked to his siblings anymore. Lately all he could think about was Larkbreeze. 'She must have decided she didn't want such a weak cat as a mate,' he thought as he slipped out of camp. He had always had poor health but when he had met Larkbreeze he thought he had found a cat who wouldn't care about that. 'Was she only playing with my heart,' he thought as he walked through the territory.
He was so lost in thoughts that he didn't know he was close to the pond of truce until he felt water brush his paws. He snapped out of his thoughts and stared down at the pond and into his reflection. Closing his eyes he said down feeling like he could break down. A noise made him open his eyes and he jumped up his heart pounding in his chest. "Probably just a mouse," he muttered still looking around.
