Every Cat Needs Saving Sometimes (Falcon)

[Twineheart]

Starlingpaw doesn't hesitate and turning he stumbles forward when Nightpaw shoves him. Starting to run he looks back to see Nightpaw whack the badgers muzzle. The creature lets out a furious growl, blood dripping from its muzzle and snaps its jaws at Nightpaw, slashing out with dangerously sharp claws of its own. " Nightpaw! C'mon!" He calls slowing some in worry, the water a few fox lengths away from him.

( Haha I bet she would!! and YESH! Sounds like a plan :3)

[Falcon]

Nightpaw feels the fire of pain along her shoulder but ignores it giving the badger one last swipe of her claws before she races into the water feeling the chill on her wound makes her flinch but she keeps ignoring it going deeper and deeper until the badger can't reach them in the water

When Nightpaw finally catches up Starlingpaw continues forward into the river, swimming as far and as deep as he could get from the badger. Behind the pair, half waded into the shallows the badger roars with furry, standing on its hind paws its mean beady eyes watching them. It lets out another growl before giving up and turning around, running back into the woods. Relieved Starlingpaw looks around for Nightpaw, knowing she had followed but unsure where she was at the exact moment. " Phew that was close!" He says his heart still hammering a thousand miles an hour.

[Falcon]

"yes we'll have to tell Goldenstar about that when we get back to camp, can't have a badger running around the territory when we have kits and queens around" she doesn't even seem to be aware that the blood seeping from the wound on her shoulder I leaking into the water around her (*starts playing Jaws theme*)

Starlingpaw nods his head in agreement, sort of excited at having news to tell the leader. but his excitement is automatically dampened and then put out completely when he sees the water around Nightpaw turning blood red. " N-nightpaw!" He stutters eyes round. " Nightpaw your bleeding!" He exclaims the metallic scent of blood flooding his rust pink nose. He swims forward trying to see where she was needing from but the river water and blood was covering her up. " We've gotta get you to shore!" He says taking a calming breath and starting to nudge her towards the shore. Please be okay, he thought trying not to think about all the blood.

Nightpaw feels him nudging her "it's just a cut Starlingpaw honest, being in the water makes it seem worse then it is that's all just relax" but she heads to shore hoping to ease his mind either way, she didn't want to worry him over just a little cut on her shoulder

[Twineheart]

" Just a cut doesn't turn the water this dark!" He exclaims shaking his head and continuing to nudge he the rest of the way to shore. Once out of the water his worries are far from quelled. Nightpaw had a large badger claw shaped gash on her shoulder that gushed blood even as they spoke. Pushing down a queasy feeling Starlingpaw, laps at the wound tentatively. " Oh Nightpaw this is not a little cut at all!" He says mossy green eyes very concerned. " I need to get you back to camp now." He adds more seriously. The tang of her blood on his tongue as he looked at her.

[Falcon]

"it's not that bad Starlingpaw stop fussing" ever the stubborn one she shakes her head looking at the wound, so it was bleeding a little every warrior needed to bleed from time to time, it was a part of their life, but she had to admit she did kind of like that he wanted to fuss over her

[Twineheart]

" Your so stubborn!" He says with a huff of frustration, nudging her flank with his tail. " Its bad enough and I ain't gonna let you bleed out all over the place just cause your a stubborn fool!" He snaps, his mossy gaze serious now as he looks into her green one. " Please..." He adds gaze softening when he realizes he'd snapped at her. He wasn't trying to be mean but he was very worried about her. What if she lost too much blood? The idea sends waves of panic through him and he nudges her a bit more with his tail his eyes begging her to cooperate. " If its truly nothing than Nightpoppy will let you go with no fuss." He adds.

[Falcon]

she rolls her eyes a little "fine fine lets go back to camp and see Nightpoppy then" she huffs a little mirroring his noise of frustration with one of her own "you don't need to worry so much Starlingpaw it just hurts a little is all, nothing very serious honest"

[Twineheart]

Starlingpaw is so relieved she agreed to go see Nightpoppy he isn't even bothered by her eye rolling or huffing. He just shakes his head and nudges her forward with his large tail, walking on her good side, so he can be there if she needs help or something. " Well someone needs to worry about you." He mumbles, " Cause you never will..." he adds under his breath. The pair starts back to camp, at a slower pace than normal. Starlingpaw trying to suppress the urge to look nervously at her every few seconds. She'll be fine! He tells himself though it does nothing for his nerves. She was his best friend, and the idea of anything bad happening to her really made him worry.

[Falcon]

she pads back to camp with her usual air of confidence and light footedness she barely flinches as she moves her bad shoulder, though if it's cause it doesn't hurt or just cause she's stubborn is very hard to tell at the moment, she doesn't mind that he's worried about her not really, she thinks it's sweet of him

[Twineheart]

They reach camp after a short distance travel, and Starlingpaw leads her straight back to the medicine cat den. Nudging her ahead of him, he follows in behind her glancing around, his mossy gaze blinking rapidly as they try an adjust. " Nightpoppy? Molepaw?" he calls out, his voice echoing around the den. Waiting for a response he looks back to Nightpaw, that same worry still hanging in the depths of his mossy green eyes. " How does it feel?" He asks examining the wound once more. His warm breath stirring her fur as he does so.

"It's just a little sore Starlingpaw honest" she licks his cheek "but thanks for beings so concerned" she smiles and waits to see if Nightpoppy or Molepaw come and see what's going on"

Starlingpaw listens to her words, feeling his cheek fur get warm when she licks it. Still worried, he shuffles his paws trying to calm himself. His fur smoothing some he attempts a smile, flicking her nose softly with his tail. " Only you would say that getting clawed by a badger was just a little sore." He says mossy gaze bemused by his friend. He looks around too some now guessing the medicine cats were out. Shuffling his paws some more he sighs a little. " They must be out getting herbs or something." He adds worriedly, hoping they would return soon. His mossy green eyes return to her and her wound, wishing the medicine cats would hurry.
