Miserable At Best, Without You (Deku)

[Falcon]

His chest puffed up a little bit "no way I totally got this it isn't that far to the top anyways" he glances toward the top of the Dead Willow "yeah I totally can make it up there" he grins at her "no worries Brackenlight, I'll be fine, warriors honor" he grins a little more

[Deku]

Her eyes narrowed. "You're not a warrior yet..." No, they weren't finishing this race. She was going to climb down this tree and be the responsible friend. If he wanted to climb, then fine. She didn't want to put too much pressure on him by making it a race though.

(I've got to get off. Bye)

[Falcon]

"that's just an expression" he said with a roll of his eyes and another grin "you don't need to be a warrior to have warriors honor, you just have to be honorable, at least I think so, Tigerfang might not agree with me, but he doesn't really agree with anyone expect Pebblestar"

[Deku]

Brackenlight sat down on a nearby branch. "OK, well I'm sorry then. You can have your warriors honor and finish this race, but I'm not. It wouldn't have been a fair race anyways considering I've been climbing this tree almost every sunrise for the past couple of moons while you were stuck in camp."

[Falcon]

He shrugs "well then what do you want to do then? If you don't want to race that is" he curled his tail around his large paws and tilted his head a little at Brackenlight "Or do you just want to relax and talk some more about stuff?" his ears flicked a little waiting for her answer

[Deku]

"Well, how long has it been since we actually talked? It seems like at least five moons. Besides, if we don't do something, we'll just need to go back to camp and I honestly don't want to do that."

(We've got to have something happen. No thread is complete without some drama.)

[Falcon]

"It has been a rather long time" he says sheepishly giving her a small smile "come on lets get down and we can do whatever you want to do" he slowly starts to climb down the tree

(well I'm always game for some drama, how about something attacks them or something?)

[Deku]

(OK, fine with me. As long as we get something going. Are you going to start the "drama" or am I?)

She nodded. "Alright. That sounds good." She mewed quietly, returning the smile. The ginger she-cat began climbing down after him, carefully placing her paws so she wouldn't accidentally slip.

[Falcon]

(you can go ahead and start it up )

Mudpaw didn't relax his claws until he finally touched the ground then, and only then, did he relax and sheath his claws again his ears prickling a little and searching around as he heard a noise, it was probably nothing though

[Deku]

(O.O OK then. Let's see what I can do.)

Brackenlight touched the ground shortly after Mudpaw. She could see that he had heard something, but since he brushed it off, she decided not to worry about it.

Just as she sat down, she heard something as well. She flicked her ears and turned around cautiously. There was something behind them, but she couldn't tell what it was. She stood again and padded curiously towards some bushes. 'What could be in there?' She didn't even bother to scent the air. As she got within a couple of paw lengths of the bushes there was even more rustling. "Mudpaw? Th-there's something over here..." She mewed softly.

And then, a flash of russet and white and she was pinned to the ground, a large fox on top of her. She was too stunned to do anything, so she just waited. Waited for the crushing blow of death.

[Falcon]

Mudpaw let out a choked snarl, like a jungle cat as he leapt onto the foxes back biting down on the large animals ears and pulling with all his might, both trying to get it off Brackenlight and to annoy it enough that it would focus on his instead of the she-cat

[Deku]

Almost as soon as the fox had arrived it had left. She could see Mudpaw trying his best to get the foxes attention, and it was working for a moment before she stood back up. Then it looked back at her. 'Mousedung.' She thought, jumping forward and unsheathing her claws, scratching the fox on the muzzle. "Just leave us alone already you stupid fox!"

[Falcon]

Mudpaw kept attacking the fox's head and the back of it's neck while Brackenlight attack it's face "flea bitten mouse brain" he snarled at the fox slashing at it's neck and ears

(no *pout* I read a little bit of the prologue and the comic at the end, and saw spoilers online though why?)

[Deku]

(Because you know how Foxheart is supposedly an insult? Well Raggedstar gives an apprentice the name Foxheart. I laughed because this apprentice was really really rude to Yellowfang)

"Of all days to attack TalonClan." She muttered, dodging the fox's attacks. "Why today?" She could see the fox struggling to get away from Mudpaw. It looked as if it was done fighting. "Mudpaw, I think it's done. You can probably let it go now." She mewed.

[Falcon]

(Oh yeah I know about Foxheart she was majorly crushing on Raggedstar through the book I believe)

Mudpaw snorted but releases the fox leaping from it's back "are you alright Brackenlight" he padded over to look her over slowly, checking for wounds that the fox might have caused her in their fight
