Three days came and went and carried on as usual.

Avoid patrols.
Hunt.
Snap.
Eat.
Snap again.
Leave camp.
Come back.
Sleep.
Repeat.

'I must be crazy for doing this.' 
Robinfeather found herself slipping out of camp before the day had made it's official start, and heading towards the Pond of Truce. Back when she was Medicine Cat it wasn't an odd occurrence to meet with cats of other clans, though it was typically secluded to her equivalent in each of the other clans, not just some random tom. 
Shadowpad. That was his name, and truth be told he interested her. Not many would give her their time of day, and many just resorted to ignoring her, yet he was interested in actually helping her.

He would probably fail, but she wouldn't just stand him up when she was all too curious as to how he would revive her joy. While she was cold, grumpy, and edgy she was still an actual cat with feelings. Yes, she did shoulder them all aside and very rarely express any but anger, irritation, and frustration, but they were still there.

And with that she arrived at the Pond of Truce.

Keeping the dry ball of moss clamped tight in his jaws, Shadowpad made his way through StormClan territory. He was a bit worried about what Robinfeather would think of his Get-Happy-Quick strategy. She didn't seem like the type who wanted to have fun.

Stage One would be kit games. Shadowpad had asked every kit and a few apprentices what their favorite games were. Mossball, Clans, Hunting, etc. Hopefully Robinfeather wouldn't think he was a big fool.

Wait, why was he so worried about what she thought of him? He was trying to help her, he didn't need to worry about what she thought.

The black tom spotted the former medicine cat at their tree. "Hello, Robinfeather!" he said, voice muffled by the moss in his jaws. He dropped in a few fox-tails away from her and quickly swiped out a paw, rolling the mossball to Robinfeather.

For some reason Robinfeather found herself wondering and doubting. She had honestly expected Shadowpad to get there before her.
'What if I'm just wasting my time.' 
'No... just be patient, when the sun moves another claw length then I'll leave. Yeah. That sounds good.'
The small she-cat wasn't the most patient and was used to being the last to arrive, or one of so, in most circumstances, and right when she was just about to leave a new scent reached her nose.

'Told you.'
'Oh shut you're trap!'

Robinfeather found herself hissing trying to get her thoughts to shut up, before diverting her attention to the black Stormclanner, "Shadowpad." 
Giving a half smile she tilted her head as the moss ball rolled to her feet. It was a bit out of confusion, but she didn't want to straight up show it, for her prides sake. What other choice did she have though?

There goes nothing...
"I.. urk... I was never taught how to play moss ball..." 
Robinfeather could feel her ears beginning to burn up, so she moved her eyes down to her paws shuffling them, "My brothers stopped letting me play with them as a kit, same with a lot of the other kits... so yeah."

[Fiction]

Shadowpad let out a small, barely audible sigh. She didn't even have a kithood! "Well," he said, putting back on his cheerful air. "I'll teach you!"

He hooked a claw on the ball of moss and pulled it toward him. "Its quite simple." he said, stepping back, keeping his eyes on the ball of moss in front of him, "I push it toward you, like so..." The tom swiped out a black paw and rolled the ball to Robinfeather. "And now you roll it back to me."

He had no doubt that Robinfeather couldn't handle the simple game, but he was still worried. Poor Robinfeather. As a kit she didn't play with anycat, and while she was an apprentice she was grouchy and didn't talk to anycat (Shadowpad assumed) as a medicine cat, she just got ripped from her duties and had no idea why! His bright green eyes blazed with determination again. He would help this she cat, no matter the cost.

Robinfeather listened carefully before eyeing the ball of moss. It seemed simple. It seemed a bit... stupid.
How did kits enjoy that?
She rolled the ball of moss between her two front paws, not once moving her eyes from it. They moved left and right, following its movement. Kits had never seen the outside world, maybe that's why they were so easily entertained. 

"That's... it?" 
'Seems I didn't miss out on much as a kit.' Robinfeather gave a rough purr and closed her mouth once again, allowing thoughts to move through her head. 'Well... since I'm here I might as well try to enjoy myself.'
"How about we make this more of a warriors game?"

A dangerous smirk came up onto her maw, and she picked up the ball of moss in her jaws, and walked towards the pond in the middle of the clearing.

[Fiction]

Shadowpad stared at her, wondering what the StarClan she was about to do. He was padding up to her when he realized she had smiled! Well, smirked really, but it was a start!

"What are you doing?" he asked, coming up behind her. How could she turn mossball into a warrior's game?

With a flick of her tail, Robinfeather simply waved off Shadowpad's question. She wasn't going to ruin it, "You'll see."
She wanted to turn it into a capture the flag type game, with the mossball as the flag, and each team consisted of only one warrior. It seemed a bit more fun then just rolling a ball back and forth between the two.
"I used to watch my brothers play this as apprentices-" there was a pause in the small warrior's words as she came to the side of the pond and crouched down, leaping up onto the boulder where the leaders usually sat. She was nimble so the jump wasn't much of a challenge, in fact she enjoyed as the air brushed through her pelt. "-and I always wanted to join in." 

Robinfeather moved to the middle of the boulder as she finished her words and lowered her head so the ball of moss dropped onto the surface, "So I decided let's go ahead and give it a shot, with some improvising of course." With a shrug of the shoulders, she turned so that she was facing the Stormclanner, "There are two teams- you as one, and I as the other, obviously. I guess you could consider the two teams 'clans' that are fighting for said object, which-" gesturing to the moss ball with her tail "-is going to be this. Whoever gets to it is the victor. You start over at the right end and hide yourself, and I'll start from the left. You can do whatever you need to get to the mossball first, just one rule- claws in."


With a mischievous grin Robinfeather leaped down from the boulder in the middle of the pond, trotting a couple steps and calling out over her shoulder, "No going easy my dear friend, and to make it a bit more interesting we'll throw in a prize to victor."
And just like that she left to see what she could come up with.

OOC: Can we have Shadowpad win and then he'll be all flirtatious like "So what's my prize?" and stuff like that?

Shadowpad watched Robinfeather's retreating back, a stunned look on his face. He shook his head and went to his side of the pond. There was just something about her, she was so intelligent and creative. "Ready?" he called loudly to Robinfeather, training his eyes on the moss ball. He was gonna win this thing. Or maybe he should let her win. No, she wouldn't like that.

At Robinfeather's okay he shouted, "Go!" and sprung forward. He quickly leaped onto the boulder and grabbed the moss ball, grinning at his soon victory, before something bowled into him and he fell into the water, moss ball floating beside him. (I don't know if moss floats but lets just say it does ^^')

Luckily, being a StormClan cat, he could swim fairly well. Unfortunately he lost sight of the ball of moss.

Robinfeather watched as Shadowpad leaped up the boulder, grabbing the mossball. No way was he going to get away with victory that easily, but rather then rushing forward immediately she waited, stalking around until she was downwind. With that she crouched down, stalking forward. 

Another benefit to being small and nimble. She was able to move quickly and quietly, virtually undetectable. 
'And... now!'
With a smirk plastered on her maw, she pushed off her haunches, ramming into Shadowpad's side. Taken aback herself, she managed to topple the tom over.
'So that just happened.'

For a moment confusion flooded through her, as she looked around for the mossball. Well, it must have gone down with the Stormclanner. Groaning internally, Robinfeather leaped down again and stood at the waters edge. Shifting her eyes around they landed on a long stick so she picked it up in her jaws.
Extending her neck she hooked the end into the moss ball and jerked it upwards flinging the moss ball backwards. "Gonna have to try harder then that."


ooc// Shadowpad should like tackle her at some point and he lands on top of her and gets her all flustered and such :3

Still paddling in the water, the black tom narrowed his eyes at Robinfeather. "This means war." He said, half joking. He scrambled up onto the shore and tried to grab the moss ball with his claws. He caught it, but it unhooked and was thrown up into the air. Shadowpad jumped for it, caught it again. Unfortunately, he landed on Robinfeather, his paws on the sides of her head, her laying on her back, their faces very close. "So," he said after an awkward moment. "Do I get my prize now?" A grin appeared on his face, his attempt to make the situation less awkward.

...well this was awkward.

Robinfeather's ears burned, her pelt felt like it crawled with ants as she stared up at the Stormclanner on top of her, blinking slowly, processing the situation she was in. Under any other circumstances she'd be fuming. If this was Duskpaw, or Russetpaw they would be dead, but for some reason any anger she'd typically harvest was nonexistent, "Errr... well, uh... yeah.."

A sheepish smile worked it's way up onto the small warriors face, an idea popping into her head. From the position under Shadowpad she lifted up her paws and placed them against his chest hoping to roll him over so she could be on top of the tom. Admittedly she was growing fonder of him, and she was beginning to realize her cold nature was slowly fading around him. 

[Fiction]

He grinned harder at Robinfeather's sheepish face. Feeling the former medicine cat's weight shift, he let her push him over onto his back. Tilting his head slightly back, he looked into the she cats eyes. His bright green ones were filled with a mix of emotions. Nervousness, sheepishness, excitement. He could sense Robinfeather's cold nature was melting. Because of him. He had made her feel this way. Shadowpad's heart warmed up and he felt his pelt grown hotter too. He didn't say anything, he just wanted to enjoy this moment.

OOC: Dawww, these two are too cute.

The previously embarrassed and flustered look turned to one of sheer confidence and was quite cocky in all honesty. Rather then having Shadowpad's wet fur dripping on her she held the dominant position, "So about that prize-" a rough purr vibrated through Robinfeather's throat, she'd admit she was growing rather fond of this tom.
It was a bit odd. Being stuck in a camp with her clanmates all day long for this past time, no one had managed to crack down her shell at all. Maybe it was just because she never let them. She never gave anyone the time of day. Or maybe it was just because she didn't want to waste anyone's time knowing their efforts would be useless. That's what set this tom aside- he wanted to help her, so she decided to give him the chance, and so far he wasn't failing her. "How about we dry you off first since you had a bit of a... problem back there, and then we'll figure out what to do for you."

[Fiction]

Shadowpad gave a small smirk. Being larger and evidently stronger, he pushed Robinfeather off gently, stood up, and shook his black pelt, covering the she cat with drops.

Decently dry, he burst out laughing at the face of Robinfeather, water droplets making her fur damp. "Hmm..." he said, a grin dancing on his maw, "there's something different about you. You look...a little damp." He waited while she dried off, then stepped forward, his nose mere claw lengths from hers. "I'm not seeing a prize anywhere..."

He was growing more confident by the minute. Just being around Robinfeather made him feel...better. Smart, creative, confident, she was just amazing.

A kit like squeal escaped Robinfeather as she leaped backwards. A clearly unamused look plastered across her face as droplets of water hit her pelt. They were his not hers, so what were they doing on her pelt. A low, almost inaudible grow rumbled in her throat as she sat down, licking at her chest. Shaking her head and flickering her ears she groaned, "The water is for you fishface not me." 
Her tone was mocking and joking as she lifted her head up, eyes wide, a bit surprised to see Shadowpad's nose very close to hers.

Cue the ants.

There they were. They crawled through her pelt every time anxiety, nervousness, or fluster swamped over her. She was never this close with a tom so all her confidence in her knowledge was drained away. 'Well let's just see what we can do, shall we.'

"Well how about you tell me what you'd like fishface and I'll see what I can do."
