Falcon

The little kit lowered her head as she dug into the fresh-kill pile, looking through it until finding Firepaw's favorite prey, grabbing it with a tiny sigh, her tail hung low. Dragging it out, she picked it up more firmly before quietly taking it to the apprentice recovering in the dens. She weaved her way, most of the apprentices know recognizing and used to her presence. She lay the food down next to her best friend before gently licking his cheek, "Hey . . . I brought you some prey." She mewed, ears falling flat before sitting down, careful to keep her weight on one side of her body, and off the wound healing on her own hip. A weak, small wound compared to him . . . . a wound that would scar, but . . . but he was so much worse off, and it was her fault.

[Falcon]

Firepaw's eyes flickered open, his yellow green eyes hazy with sleep "hmm?" he sat up slowly his face turning into a grimace as he moved his side, before recognizing Sootkit and the rabbit she had dragged into the den "oh thanks Sootkit, that was very thoughtful of you" he said leaning down to take a large bite "want some?" he mumbled as he chewed his mouthful

[Dyzzie]

The kit frowned at his grimace, her ears falling a little more. He was in pain - and it was her fault, she had to suggest they go out of the clan. She just had to tlk him into taking her out. And now he was hurt. She glanced at her paws with a tiny shrug, "It's no problem, really. I'm just glad to help." She respondded with a small voice before looking up, "I'm sorry you're so hurt." She shook her head at his offer, "No . .. . I'm not really hungry."

[Falcon]

He shrugged good naturedly with an easy smile "It's alright warriors are bound to get hurt sometime, it's part of the warrior life, it doesn't even hurt that much, just when I move around to much, are you sure you don't want any there is plenty here for both of us" he pushed it toward her slightly

[Dyzzie]

The kit looked up at her best friend with a faint smile, "Still, it's my fault you got hurt . . . . I should have never talked you into taking me outside the camp . . . . . and now daddy wants to kill you." Well, maybe not kill him, but there was no love-lost between the two. Sighing she gently took a small bite, laying down next to him, and eating quietly, still feeling horribly guilty. Horribly, horribly so.

[Falcon]

Firepaw smiled "There you go, and besides I'm sure with a little time you're father will forgive me for my error in judgment, it'll be fine" Firepaw was sure that he could patch things up with the tom in time, he just needed to watch his paws steps in the future around him

[Dyzzie]

The kit tilted her head, sighing quietly as she nuzzled him softly, "You say that . . . . but I've never seen my father so angry . .. . What if he never forgives you?" She sighed, "It shouldn't even be you he is mad at . . . it was my fault." She mewed quietly before licking his cheek softly.

[Falcon]

"Well if he never forgives me then I'll just avoid him, hopefully with time he'll forget about what happened" he purred and nuzzled her back "now how are you feeling, you're much smaller then me and that fox was pretty large, are you sure you aren't hurt badly?" he looked her over

[Dyzzie]

Sootkit manageed a half smile at his 'back up plan' shaking her head faintly, "You'll just carefully avoid him? Hopefully that'll work out well." She mewed, faintly amused by the thought before looking surprised when he turned the focus onto how she was do, lowering her gaze almost shyly, "I'm fine, really . . . . Just the scratch." She mewed quietly, using her tail to cover the deep gash marks on her back hip that were healing well. She'd been lucky. While they were painful, they hadn't caused enough damage to make her walking difficult. but she'd already encountered some issues with her hip stiffening up in colder weather . . . . Winters would be brutal to her when she got older, but . . .. he didn't need to know that. "I'll be okay." She assured, laying her muzzle over his back, snuggling into his side, "I'm jsut glad you're okay."

[Falcon]

Firepaw looked at the deep gaping wound that was caused by the foxes sharp teeth, it was healing well but he know that the slightest movement could easily reopen the wound and cause him to bleed all over again, the fur around the wound still had blood in it a little, matting the fur down slightly but he just smiled "It doesn't hurt that badly, it just looks like it hurts"

[Dyzzie]

The kit tilted her head at his comment of it hurting less than it looked, looking relieved at the tom's words, before gently licking some of the fur carefully - so as to not hurt the wound, or cause it to reopen, "I'm so sorry you got hurt . . . . Next time I see that fox, I'll kill it." She mewed in assurance before turning her green eyes up to him, "I don't know what I would have done if it had killed you . . . ."

[Falcon]

"It was probably hungry, lots of animals do stuff they normally wouldn't when their normal food source is limited, lots of animals would come into my mothers garden when I was a kit and take Twoleg food out of the shiny round things that they Twolegs kept outside all the time"

[Dyzzie]

The little kit tilted her ehad when he spoke, knowing he didn't talk about living in a twoleg home often before nodding, "Maybe, but it still wasn't nice of it to hurt you! We don't attack their kits when we're hungry." She said with a soft shake of her head before standing and stretching out the soreness of her hip, whisking her tail before respositioning down on the ground again.

[Falcon]

"that's true but you have to remember" he snickered a little "foxes are stupid" he joked then flinched, his laughter hurting his side but he smiled through the pain, not wanting to worry Sootkit "and besides if foxes taste anything like they smell they wouldn't be very tasty to eat anyways"

[Dyzzie]

The female smiled faintly, "not so stupid, that one went after the smaller, weaker cat first, after all." She mewed osftly before noticing him flinch and her expression shifting, "Are you alright?" She asked softly before smile and snuggling back against his side, laying her muzzle over his paws gently, "True, I bet they'd be worse than badger!" She meowed, smiling slightly.
