A Good Day for Ceremonies (OPEN/All of LeafClan)

Sunstar padded out of her den and yawned. It was quite early in the morning, but she could still see that most of her clan was awake and ready to start the day. It was the perfect time for the ceremonies she had been planning for a couple of sunrises.

"All cats loyal to LeafClan gather for a clan meeting!" She yowled, pausing to wait for her fellow clanmates to gather around her. "It is time once again for some cats of LeafClan to rise in rank and since today started with such a lovely New leaf morning, I figured now was a good time for them to do that. When I call your name if you would be so kind as to step forward." The golden tabby mewed, looking around at the clan.

"Wolfpaw, Roselocke, You have served LeafClan well as an apprentice, but you can do much more as a warrior, so I would now like to give you your warrior name. From this day forward you will be known as Wolfstone.

Blossompaw, Glorilyss, You have been an apprentice of LeafClan long enough, and now it is time for you to receive your warrior name as well. From this day forward you shall be known as Blossomwish.

Cloudpaw, Eveningbreeze, You have grown up to be a loyal apprentice of LeafClan, and I hope that you will be a loyal warrior as well. From this day forward you shall be known as Cloudface.

Smokepaw, Puddlesdog, In these last moons as an apprentice, you have proved yourself a valuable asset to LeafClan. I now give you your warrior name. From this day forward you shall be known as Smokestorm."

Sunstar dipped her head to each of the new warriors. Pausing the ceremonies for a only a moment before continuing on.

"Now we also have some kits who are ready to become apprenticed, if they would step forward when their names are called.

Shadowkit, Puddlesdog, You have reached the age of six moons and it is now time for you to rise in rank and become an official apprentice of LeafClan. From this day until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Shadowpaw. I hope that Froststorm, @xblackx, will lead you to greatness.

Blossomkit, @shimmerstar1161, You have also reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to become an official apprentice of LeafClan. From this day until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Blossompaw. I hope that Silverbranch, Lionhearted, will lead you to greatness.

Ryekit, nomstar, You have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to become an official apprentice of LeafClan. From this day until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Ryepaw. I hope that Robinstrike, Sand, will lead you to greatness."

Sunstar backed away as she finished speaking, her flaming amber eyes watching silently as the clan started moving around again. Being a leader was getting much easier, especially considering she didn't have too much to do now. Maybe she should go for a walk.

Cloudpaw walked proudly, her white tail up. She had the determined look of a she-cat who was tired of being seen as weak and was ready to prove herself to the world. When Sunstar called her name, she took the step forward with a smile on her face.

Cloudface...My name is now Cloudface-She thought to herself, still smiling as she took a step back to come back to her place. The name had never crossed her mind, true, but she wasn't what you could call disappointed by it. She was a warrior now, and that was all that it mattered.

Smokepaw smiled happily as the ceremonies were called. Well a meeting, but she could have sworn she did great and was old enough for a ceremony. The she-cat smiled again as the ceremonies started. First came Wolfpaw, she had expected him to become a warrior, but what about her? Her heart pounded like a frantic bird in her chest. She swallowed, even her feather ear tips seemed to be drooping. She swept her long tail on the ground, 'there.' It was more of a confident thought as her name was called. She stepped forward sucking in her cheeks. She stepped forward with a smile on her face, she wasn't sure if she was as confident as she looked. Suddenly the name was announced. Smokestorm the name made her smile and when the name hit her ears fully she beamed. "Smokestorm." She muttered happily. Turning she saw the new Cloudface. "Congrats Cloudp- Cloudface." She said with a laugh.

Shadowkit pranced out of the nursery his brown eyes twitching from side to side. "What a wonderful day!" He said skipping over to the rock. Something important? This must be something about an attack! He would beat it senseless! No wait, it was ceremonies. His claws slid back into his paw, "Oh." He whispered not even realzing his claws had came out. "Warriors." He said as the names were called. He huffed hoping the joy in them would one day come to him. Shadowkit watched as one by one how each warrior smiled at their new name. "Wolfstone, Smokestorm, Blossomwish, and Cloudface." He whispered for his own reference. 'Shadowkit.. he beamed. He was going to get his own joy!! Shadowpaw leaped off the ground and stared intently at the leader. "Froststorm!" He yelled when all the ceremonies were done. His heart was leaping happily. "Froststorm." He said again.

~Wolfstone~

A silvery form slipped out of the apprentice den, the tom blinking sleep from his forest green eyes. These days, overall, he could be considered absolutely insane in ways. Fallen for the medicine cat apprentice, was completely debating on whether or not to kill his brother, just everything right now, yet he never lost sight of that single love he felt so strongly. Blinking those strong eyes to adjust them to the Sun, he glanced up upon his fiery leader as of when she called for a ceremony. Quirking his eyebrow, Wolfpaw glanced around for his dear Cherrypaw, hoping to see her, until he heard his name to be called. The very first ceremony. With a light smile, the silvery white apprentice stepped forward, his coat fully exposed to the bright sun as a gentle breeze ran it's chill claws through his coat. I am finally a warrior. Yet still he remembered how is arch enemy was a warrior before him, how Silverbranch was also on his way to ruining his life.

Wait, what was he worrying about? It was up to Cherrypaw to see where her heart were to lie, though it was undeniable that he loved her more than any single thing in the entire world. He wanted to love her, during all that time, all he wanted was to be with her. Past their duties, he just wanted to be with her, be her mate where it was in no way forbidden.

but it was oh so doubtful that it would ever happen, no matter how much he would want it to.

Beetlestrike

The small black and white tom stepped forward into the clearing, those clear, calm hazel eyes staring up at the she-cat he secretly had strong feelings for. He listened to the ceremonies almost lifelessly, as all his thoughts were directed straight upon her, who he cared for so very deeply. Why did he care? The tom was supposed to respect her as a leader and a leader only, not as a lover, but that was his ultimate desire, to be hers and hers alone. Blinking his eyes just as she finished her ceremonies, he smiled before taking steps forward to meet with Sunstar,"Hey! Do you maybe want to go for a walk?" There it was, the tilt of his head and compassionate blink of his deep hazel eyes that would make anyone melt with desire.

OOC: x3 He does have some pretty hilarious moments Roselocke. And it makes it funnier because Sunstar is so freaking oblivious. Do you want to make their thread?

IC: Sunstar glanced over at the small black tom and grinned. "Sure Beetlestrike! I was just thinking about going for a walk anyways. And I don't have anything else going on actually." She mewed, glancing towards the nursery. She was debating about telling Willowbranch so the queen could keep an eye on camp, but decided against it. She wasn't going to be gone long.

The black and white tom smile lightly, blinking his hazel gaze sweetly. Finally, she was not busy and they could finally hang around each other in piece, with neither of their duties coming in between them."That sounds great, Sunstar! Where shall we go, is the question!" His soft smile expressed only the slightest affection before he flicked his tail and sat down calmly in front of her, his muscles rippling under his short, soft coat.

Cloudface turned to see Smokestorm, not really understanding the reason behind the other she-cat's laughter. Was she making fun of her name? The white she-cat decided that it couldn't be the case, she was just overthinking it.

"Congratulations to you too, Smokestorm"-She answered, already thinking about what were Blazepelt's thoughts about her new name. Not that it mattered, of course. She only was curious about the ginger tom's opinion, that's all.

Smokestorm flicked her ears to Cloudface but didn't respond amittedly. Suddenly her head snapped over, that's my new name. The previous Smokepaw was having a hard time getting over names. She understood the thought the rogue and loners saw it. Smokekit? Nope. Smokepaw? Nope. Smokestorm was hers. but when she was an elder what was going to happen? "You know, I have always wondered what's the deal with all the names.. -kit -paw and then something warriorish." She sighed. Her way to look at the world from every possible angle was not exactly prized. With a glance from Cloudface she took in the fellow warriors perspective of what she had said. "Oh.. Sorry that it seemed like I was laughing at you, it was just I found myself saying Cloudpaw." She sighed and transfered to her perspective. 'Not that it isn't funny she thought wih a sly grin. Smokestorm always had been a rather peculiar she-cat, ecpesially with her ability to think back and think as the other cat. She- and most cats found it strange.

Creekpaw padded up to the high rock. His head snapped around and he licked his chest, the first rule of his life running through his head, always be presentable. He looked up to the leader, warrior ceremonies were first. He snorted angrily when Wolfpaws name was called, how could that brat beat him to be a warrior! He listened to the rest of the ceremonies with half the concentration. This was defenitly an emergencey, he hadn't even looked at the she-cats to see if any were decent! He glared at his brother and when the ceremonies. He stood and crept over to his brother. "Hey Wolfstone. Or should I say Brokenmind?" Creekpaw, wasn't normally this rude, but again this was unbearable for him. His jaw was set and his tail was lashing, in his mind he was schreeching, how?!? Calmly he licked a paw and narrowed his eyes. "How are you and you Girlfriend doing?" Yep he knew. He had noticed how his brother had given the 'eyes' at the she-cat. After all he was practically the king of love.

Cloudface cocked her head, she had never stopped to think about the names that way. They were a fact to her, so Smokestorm's comment confused her a little. "The names are there so everyone can know of our place in the clan, and they speak about what kind of cat you are. I'm not the same cat I used to be when I was just Cloudkit. I'm stronger and my own journey to protect my clan has begun, so I'm neither Cloudkit nor Cloudpaw anymore, but my own name. There are another Cloudkits and Cloudpaws out there and there will be more in the future, but there will be only a Cloudface and that's me. It's who I am."

She shrug it off, her tail flickering. "At least, that's how I see it"

She couldn't believe it. She was an apprentice at last! Excited, she bounded up to her new mentor. Hey Robinstrike, I'm your new apprentice and you're my mentor! What will you teach me first? Where will we hunt? Where is the best place to hunt? Can we do battle training? Have you ever fought in a battle? Was it scary? She stopped, realiing that she was going to fast. Sorry. She mewed, embarassed. Great, my first day as an apprentice and I've already mucked up. Now Robinstrike will think that I'm a mousebrain!

Silverbranch strutted up to his new apprentice. "Hello, Blossompaw," he said pleasantly, "how's your day? Ready for training? I'm going to make you the best of the best," he vowed, "but you must do what I tell you!"

Froststorm padded out of the warriors' den at the sound of his leader's voice announcing a clan meeting. He sat near the back of the group of cats, knowing that Sunstar had no announcement pertaining to him. If anything, an apprentice, and surely Sunstar knew that he could handle no such task. Froststorm listened intently and viewed the ecstatic newly named warriors and apprentices. Then-

"Shadowkit, you have reached the age of six moons and it is now time for you to rise in rank and become an official apprentice of LeafClan. From this day until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Shadowpaw. I hope that Froststorm will lead you to greatness."

Did she just say my name? He thought. This was a mistake! This was bad. . . dear Starclan. His exterior showed no hint of shock or terror. Fine. He would try. Growing grumpy with the news, Froststorm got up after the ceremonies were over, searching for Shadowpaw.

Once he spotted to boisterous young kit, who was standing a yelling his name in excitement, he padded up silently and dipped his head to his new apprentice, "Hello, Shadowpaw, I am Froststorm, I'll be your mentor for the next several moons. Leafclan is indeed a great clan to learn in." Those were the words his own mentor had spoke to him when he was apprenticed. "It will be difficult - but you'll power through it."

Long red plumed tail flicked twice at the sound of her leader's order. Large amber eyes took one last glance towards the piles that she had just made, and gave a satisfactory nod in their direction.New-Leaf was in full bloom, and her stockpiles of herbs were starting to grow to their original height. It was rather a relief for the Medicine Cat apprentice since their piles had been dangerously low during Leaf-Bare, and at the last Gathering a cat from Talonclan had been waltzing around each Clan's territory with whitecough. She had ended up in Whisperclan and was probably still getting treated for it. Cherrypaw was just happy that none of her Clanmates had caught it from the mousebrain since whitecough can easily turn into greencough. Padding out of the den into the Clearing she blinked in slight surprise. Had she been up all night again? When had the night turned into morning? With another flick of her tail Cherrypaw slowly made her way through her Clanmates in order to get a spot near her mentor Bluewings. Settling onto her haunches she draped that precious tail of her's around dainty white paws.

"Wolfpaw. You have served LeafClan well as an apprentice, but you can do much more as a warrior, so I would now like to give you your warrior name. From this day forward you will be known as Wolfstone.

Dark brown eyes locked onto the muscular frame that padded forwards to accept his new name. A feeling of warmth blossomed in her stomach, and she couldn't help the small smile that formed on her lips. Wolfstone was a fitting name for him. She wrestled with her facial expressions and returned to a neutral mask. The medicine cat apprentice listened to the rest of the ceremonies but her eyes never left the gray tom. At the end of the ceremony she waited until the crowd had thinned around the newly made warriors before she made her way towards her long term friend Wolfstone. "Congratulations," She purred, making sure to keep her distance although her heart ached to step closer. She couldn't show any affection with their Clanmates around them, especially with her mentor so close by. "Wolfstone is a fitting name for sure." She spoke in her normal calming way, but her eyes spoke volumes.

Jealousy blazed through the young she-cat as she watched her brother step forwards and receive his name. The silver-grey feline couldn't help but feel like she had been given the short stick. Why had he received his name before her when they were littermates? Why was it that the rest of her family had gotten their names but not her? A dark tabby coat with a red tail caught her attention and she watched with icy eyes as the medicine cat apprentice congratulated her brother on his name. "Congratulations Wolfstone." She meowed dryly as she thrust herself between the two cat's, blocking the view of Cherrypaw. "I was hoping you and I could go hunt as a family. You know, since this day is so big for you and all... Family only stuff." Her eyes locked onto Cherrypaw's, her voice challenging the apprentice to say anything.

Shadowpaw pranced around hooting for his mentor when suddenly he heard a thump and theee was his mentor. "Oh Hi! Sorry didn't see you their, but you arent exactly small.." He hooted with laughter before straightening and cocking his head. "Okay, but 'good'? Try best!" He said again jumping up and trailing his tail behind him. He sighed, this mentor was a fun mentor. "Power through? My mom said, 'he is insane I tell you. He is super hyper all the time!'" He sighed and licked a paw before returning his attentiok to his mentor and smiling. "You have some good jokes you know?" He offered a smile and continued to groom. When his last fur was in place Shadowpaw looked at his mentor with a new light in his eyes when he asked, "What will we do first?"
