Spidershine now had more questions. She stood up and ran after cloudpaw. She stooped next to him and looked him in his lovely eyes and said," um, cloudpaw don't mean to put you on the spot, but who was your father and where did he go"? Spidershine started padding towards a large rock where they could sit and watch the sunset. She looked at cloudpaw and said," cloudpaw, if you don't want to answer me that's ok". She didn't want to make the tom go back in his shell so she had added in the part where if he didn't want to tell her she was ok with that. She waited for his answer.

Cloudpaw just watched as she ran after him. He just then turned around and focused on getting out of camp. He squeezed through the camp entrance and sighed once getting out of there. He just looked and saw Spidershine next to him. Then he started padding in the forest. She asked him a personal question. It was one that he really didn't feel like talking about at that moment. He just stayed silent for a moment until they found at rock. Spidershine also proceed to say that he didn't have to tell her anything. but he really didn't mind. She seemed like a nice cat. And well he had grown to trust her in the little time they had spoken. It wasn't like it was anything all that secretive. Once he got to the rock he hopped on it and sat down his long tail laying next to him. He just then began to speak. "My father was the leader before Sunstar. His name was Froststar. And well he looked like me. Its just that ever since I was a kit before he left I always dreamed that he would give me my warrior name. but then he just left the clan. Nobody knows where he went and well who knows where he is now." Cloudpaw shrugged and looked at the warrior, his blue eyes with a hint of sadness.

Spidershine eyes opened wide. She looked at him and opened her mouth and nothing came out. She closed it and thought could on speak you weird-o. She looked up and said," um, cloudpaw I'm so sorry about your dad... I never knew mine either, but yours... leader". She sighed and looked up at the setting sun said rapped her tail around his and muttered," I don't know how anyone could leave you, your so kind". She looked up at the sun setting under a mountain. She said," cloudpaw, think about this, maybe your dad is watching the sun set just like us". She looked in to his beautiful blue eyes and waited for his answer.

Cloudpaw watched as Spidershine's eyes went wide. He just tilted his head slightly, it was several moons ago since Froststar left. but it still hurt, and Cloudpaw then looked back at the sunset. His white face seemed to reflect the colors of the light from the changing colors of the sun. He just watched at the sky turned into beautiful colors. Then he looked back over at the warrior. Her mouth was now closed and she then started speaking about how she didn't meet her father. He just let our a breath from his nose, and he just looked at her with understanding eyes. He then felt her intwine his tail with hers and he just let it happen. He didn't fight against it and he just then watched her with his eyes as she looked at the mountain. He just listen and he smiled softly. Then he just watched as she turned on him her green landing on his blue. He just smiled and said, "Thanks for the support Spidershine. I really appreciate it." Then he gave her a comforting lick in between her ears and then he turned facing the the sun once again. He watched the sunset and he just said softly. "Spidershine, do you have any kin?"

Spidershine looked up at the tom and sighed and said," well.... they all died in a battle about 6 moons ago, it was really hard for me, so that's why I was thanking you so much.... it nice to have someone to lean on". She watched as the sun set beneath the mountain. She sighed and pushed her pelt against his she looked up at the stars float to there places in the sky. She muttered," cloudpaw, do you see anything when you look up at the stars"? She looked up and studied a section of the sky looking for stars to connect. She connected about 8 stars to make a heart. She sighed and looked at cloudpaw and said," do you see that heart up there"? She pointed her tail towards the stars. She waited for his answer.

Cloudpaw listened as the warrior explained about her family. He just watched her with his clear blue eyes. He felt bad that her family all passed, he though about his big family. Some of his sisters were already warriors, considering some of his kin became apprentices before him. Also that they didn't do as much damage as a kit like he did. And now he was still doing it. Not listening to the rules or the warrior code. Well he was about to break that soon, he felt like it was time considering his mentor was so easy to run away from. Maybe he would go into Sunsetclan territory and make some havoc. He just signed and then continued to watch the sunset with the warrior siting next to him and he just said, "Well the thing is you have to be open to your problems. I'm glad I could be that cat for you, but I shouldn't be the only cat. You need to have friends Spidershine, because one will never be enough." Then he just sat there and watch the sun disappear.

He then heard a sigh and Spidershine press up against him. He just went rigged for a couple moments as the she-cat seemed to talk away. He really didn't know what was going on. Just moment before she would barely talk to him and now it was like she finally opened up. I'm glad she's opening up but... His thoughts trailed off when she asked him a question about the stars. Looking up at the sky he saw the darkness and light. Nothing more, he really didn't know if Starclan was really up there. He just blinked his blue eyes and said, "I see nothing but a bunch of flickering lights in the darkness." Then he just looked down and watched Spidershine some more. He just then heard her ask about the heart, but he didn't look up at the sky at all to see it. He just said, "Oh sure" Then the apprentice yawned, his mouth opening wide then he closed it blinking the sleepiness out of his eyes. He just stood up pulling away from her he said, "I'm tired. I think I'm going to head back to camp. Are you coming?"

Spidershine looked at cloudpaw and said," don't worry, your not my only friend and I am getting a sleepy to". She sighed and took one last look at her family and old clanmates and sighed wishing she could talk to her father one mother last time. She stood up and stretched her legs and jumped off the rock trying not the make a sound. She gazed up at cloudpaw and thought I hope were a little more then friends. She started padding back to camp and she took a deep breath and said," cloudpaw, can we hang out, your a good friend". She looked at the white tom and waited for his answer.

Cloudpaw just smiled and nodded to Spidershine's first comment. Then he jumped off the rock landing with grace and he just turned around and blinked his blue eyes at the black-and-white she-cat. He watched as she seemed to glance up at the sky one last time before herself turning around and landing silently next to him. He just nodded and started heading back to camp. His tail dropped slightly the white fur dragging on the ground. Running away from my mentor is almost harder than thought. Then he just continued back to camp silently not really having much more to say to Spidershine tonight. He liked this new she-cat she seemed like a great cat, and a great friend. He just looked at her then thats when she began to speak. He just smiled and said "Of course! but you will have to find me first. I'm really good a disappearing." He winked and chuckled slightly before heading into camp.

Spidershine chuckled at his remark. She said," well, I am really good at finding cats, one of my littermates was good at hiding as well". She felt a sharp pain grab her paw. She said,"ow". She lifted up her paw to reveal a sharp thorn half way in her front left paw. She sighed and said," one second I need to pull this thorn out". she took a deep breath and fastened her teeth around the thorn and took a slight tug at it. She felt it unhook her paw. She saw blood start tricking out she licked it and started walking again. She said," I always wanted to be a medicine cat, so I watched the medicine cat and I learned to do that". She waited for his answer.

Cloudpaw just flicked his tail letting Spidershine know that he heard her. He wondered if she would actually try to find him. That would be interesting. He just then heard her voice say ow and he turned around. Looking at her, from the outside she seemed totally fine but something was wrong. He just padded back to make sure she was okay. Then she just sat down and he noticed that she just had a thorn in her paw. He just relaxed not even realizing that he was tense. He just shook his head and watched as she easily pulled it out. He just blinked his blue eyes and smiled slightly. She just explained how she learned to do that and he just said, that she wanted to be a medicine cat. He just then backed away and said, "Well I'm glad your not the medicine cat." Then he purred at her slightly.

Spidershine said," yeah, I was only a kit, I didn't know how much I would miss out". She stifled a yawn and let her gaze soften as much as possible. She purred slightly and thought oh cloudpaw, you don't know how much I would have missed out on. She said," cloudpaw, I'm going to my nest... will you hang out with me again tomorrow". She looked at his sweet blue gazed and hoped that he would say yes. She took a deep breath and waited for his answer.

Cloudpaw just looked at Spidershine with his blue eyes. He just smiled slightly and then nodded wither her first comment. He had no idea what this she-cat was thinking and he just yawned and said. "Me too." Then he turned to head to the apprentice den. but then she asked him another question. He just stopped and looked over his shoulder her green eyes meeting his blue. He just smiled and said, "Of course! I would like that. Good night Spidershine." Then the white apprentice headed across camp in to the apprentice den, his white fur disappearing in the darkness.
