Thornfrost was aware of the change in atmosphere when the small gathering noticed his presence. Blue chips of ice searched his clanmates and the intruder before they were called to the chocolate brown she-cat with her feminine voice.
"Thornfrost. We found her. She was running, and needed a chance to catch her breath. I told her.... she is welcome to rest here."
Really.
The white leopard spotted tom was aware of Ratstar's usual acceptance of loners into their clan and he didn't doubt that wasn't a good approach however she were no longer here were she? Meaning that Thornfrost was of the mindset they keep their borders on lock down. The last thing they needed with Greencough dropping their numbers was to bring a loner into the midst. He sensed the stand Otterfoot took with her words and even when Cloudbreeze greeted him, his eyes remained cold on her for a moment longer before the storm passed and he turned his attention carefully to the tom.
"Cloudbreeze," he meowed, returning the respectful greeting and taking in the posture of the white tom who looked less than comfortable. From what he knew of him, Cloudbreeze never usually held back on his opinion which left him to wonder why he had chosen now to do so. Clearly there was more going on here then he could see.
"Excuse my manners. My name is Lynne. I have two siblings, a brother and a sister, and currently I am a loner and has no intentions of destroying the clans anytime soon."
Because that's what all cats that were up to no good said. At the sound of the new voice, the cold gaze turned to unleash on her with a lethal calm. He didn't return her smile and instead that thin tail of his weaved along behind him as he tried to read between her words. "That is all well and good, Lynne. but I think you can understand if I find your actions questionable. I expect you will be moving on soon?" Slowly, he once turned his head to lock on Otterfrost - wanting to ask her things but unable to with the loner present, listening like a hawk. The last thing they needed to do was show weakness in front of a questionable loner being chased through their territory. Did it not occur to her, to question what she were running from?
