Squirrelpaw puff up a little more "Yup" he said basking in what he thought was admiration from the other tom "I make the wind itself jealous when I run" he enjoyed having attention, being born into a large litter so he loved being in the spotlight instead of in his siblings shadows

The young apprentice was definitely surprised by all this other apprentice claimed . . . . it seemed so impressive, so unrealistic. He tilted his head curiously, "I don't think the wind can become jealous," The small apprentice stated with an amused laugh, tilting his head to the side, smiling regardless, "but it must be amazing!"

"Well actually it's very simple: one paw after the other" his claws slide out clawing silently at the earth under his paws "moving with the world around you, becoming one with the very forces Starclan created for us for me it was the wind, for you it was the water, each clan was made to become a part of the earth we tread, and the spirits of our ancestors are proof of that"

The little tom smiled slightly, "Not so simple for me, it tends to be one paw, then the other, then my face." He admitted with a shrug, before listening to the other speak, nodding slightly, "I can see that . . . though I never quite thought of it that way . . . but I'm definitely more comfortable swimming than running.

Squirrelpaw shrugged with a smile "Well no cat can be good at everything but running is probably easiest for me cause I've gotten so much practice with it same with you and swimming" he glance toward the water a bit of distaste on his face "I probably couldn't swim to save my life" he chuckled

Emberpaw nodded lightly, "I suppose that's true. If we were, there'd be a lot more problems in clans." The small orange tabby admitted thoughtfully, before smiling, "I wouldn't say I'm the best swimmer in my den though, I'm sure there's some that are stronger than I am . . . but it's still fun to swim." He stated with a slight, soft smile. "I bet you could learn though . . . It's not hard. Just like walking . . . just . . . in water." The apprentice meowed reassuringly, with a half smile.

Squirrelpaw shuffled his paws, he probably wasn't the fast in the clan but he wasn't going to admit that out loud ever "Maybe I could try" he looked around "where do you think would be a good place to learn?" he looked to the other apprentice who actually had experience with swimming
