Let's Start With Battle? (Fox)

Nightpaw fell to the ground with an "Oof!" but in the next moment scrambled to her paws, practically glowing in excitement and disbelief. "I can't believe I actually did it!" the small black she-cat mewed, still amazed. She didn't expect to actually hit the right spot, but it seemed like her technique worked.

[Midnight]

"You did," Midnightstar told her apprentice. "but watch out for what I just did- an opponent could quickly hurt you before you're on your paws again." She warned, wanting to make sure her apprentice knew at least a good amount of possible things that could happen in a battle. "Always be careful and try to move as quickly as you can in a battle... You never know what your opponent will do next."

To prove what she meant, Midnightstar circled her apprentice for a bit, pretending to lunge forward to attack every few moments. She stopped moving, then started walking again. Midnightstar finally launched her attack, which was to try to knock into Nightpaw's flank, in the hopes of pushing the apprentice over. "If I can knock you over- whether on your side or your back- I can slash at your belly... Sometimes it's smart to wait for your opponent to make a move, but it can also be smart to be as fast as you possibly can."
