And I Feel a Weakness Coming On {Beecheyes only}

[Foxpaw]

Flicker collapsed in a panting heap on the forest floor. The white tom weakly dragged himself to the bush close-by and crawled under it, trying to get as much weight off of it as possible. He knew he shouldn't of picked a fight in such close quarters. It's a wonder he won, although the price was high.

He had caught the other tom trying to steal prey from a much younger cat-just big enough to be out on his own. It was in an old alleyway, and Flicker was no small cat. He came out victorious but with a wrenched shoulder. And that mouse-brained little cat wouldn't let him out of sight without thanking him. That's how he ended up in LeafClan territory, chased there by an inquisitive "kit". He had finally left, and Flicker knew he was in danger here, but his shoulder throbbed and refused to move any longer. He decided to rest there for part of the night and leave before dawn.

Mintleaf went off on her own to whatch the stars, she enjoyed the beautiful site. She caught a faint smell of loner, she knew she should check it out but she was so small for a warrior and most cats thought she was an apprentice. She sighed and walked foward her yellow eyes scanning the territory.

"Hh-hello?" she meowed shakily, her nerves getting to her. She knew that the loner could easily take her.

[Foxpaw]

Normally, Flicker would of heard the other cat and stayed quiet. but now his mind was clouded with pain and exhaustion. When the she-cat spoke, the white loner jumped in surprise. He let out a sharp hiss of pain and considered for only a moment trying to hide again but the damage was done. He weakly managed to stand and limped just so he was out of the bush and the other cat could see him.

[beecheyes]

Mintleaf looked at the injured tom cat and cringed, "Please don't hurt me..." she begged, even though he was hurt she had a feeling he could still take her. Her yellow eyes wide with fear.

[Foxpaw]

Flicker's eyes softened. He took a weak step-well, stumble, towards her. "I won't hurt you..." he mewed gently.

[beecheyes]

Mintleaf looked at him, "What happend to you?" she asked, stepping foward she looked at all of his injuries.

[Foxpaw]

"I-I got in a fight..." he mewed taking a nervous step back. He hated to scare cats but at the same time it made things easier for her. Things would be so much easier if he'd just been born more like his brother. His ears flattened to his head and tail twitched nervously.

[beecheyes]

Mintleaf shook her fur and stepped closer. "Would you like some help?" she asked softly, still nervous around him.

[Foxpaw]

Slowly, the white tom nodded. It wasn't like him to ask for help or even accept it, but this was different. "If you can..." he mewed tiredly.

[beecheyes]

Mintleaf stepped closer and looked at him "what do you need help with?" she meowed woriedly.

[Foxpaw]

Flicker scrambled away from the she-cat, letting out a sharp hiss of pain as his leg gave out and he collapsed. He wasn't used to having a cat so close to him and had reacted foolishly. He shook his head as if to clear it, slowly and deliberately. "Maybe just something for my leg...? Or if not that, something to eat?" he mewed hoarsely.

Mintleaf stayed where she was and whatched him with close eyes. "What dod you need for your leg? Some cobwebs or do you need a herb? I can easily get you some food but I would like to help as mych as I can with your leg, it looks pretty bad... she moewed sorrowfully. She was always kind towards others even if they were strangers.

[Foxpaw]

Flicker searched his memory for the two or three herbs his Father would tell his mother to get when he got in a fight. "Do you have any tansy?" he asked finally, hating to feel so helpless. At least this cat was kind and seemed eager to help.

[beecheyes]

Mintleaf thought for awhile tansy.. she thought, oh yes. She knew what that was. Yellow flower she thought to herself and went off to find it. Yellow leaf in her mouth she came back and laid it in front of him. "Tansy" she purred

[Foxpaw]

Flicker nodded his thanks, white tail twitching. "Thank you," he forced himself to mew, licking up the tansy quickly.
