Soot covered Feathers (Sand/Open)

Sootkit awoke in his soft nest shortly after Cloverpool left. He always seemed to notice when she was gone, he wasn't sure why just a feeling he got. Sootkit was sure she was just outside the nursery getting fresh air like she always did. He took a quick look around the nursery looking to see if there was anyone to play with, or if even a queen would tell him a story. He let out a small sigh. He really wanted to play with Crowkit, but he was probably still curled up with Sandfire, not ready to play.

The gray tabby got up from his nest and let out a small yawn. Well might as well go do something. He looked to his siblings, "Hey featherkit," he poked his sister in the head, "wanna go play?" His tail swished with excitement. He poked her right between the eyes again to make sure she would wake up. "Let's go play hunter and prey! Or exploring! Come one Featherkit!"

Featherkit was sound asleep the tip of her tail twitching every now and then. Suddenly she was jolted awake when she felt her brother poke her. She opened her eyes and blinked a few times before getting to her paws. "Okay, lets go play," she meowed cheerfully her tiredness forgotten after all it didn't take her long to feel fully awake.

ooc: sorry we haven't done anything with Cloverpool and Eaglepool I still want them to end up together but my some of the keys on my laptop are messed up so I haven't really been doing any post at home.

OOC: No worries I was just bored and wanted to play Sootkit lol. If you want we could throw in Cloverpool and Eaglepool too.

Sootkit smiled brightly to his sister as she agreed to play. He jumped toward his sister with a small squeal, aiming to land on her,"Yay!" He gave out a small laugh. Having fun always got him to smile, well just about everything got him to smile but that wasn't the point. He bounced slightly as he left his sister and headed for the entrance of the nursery. He turned to her with his usual mischievous smile, "You're the prey!"

Rowankit was sleeping when the voices of the other kits woke him, and he yawned as he blinked open his eyes. His ears pricked at the mention of play, and so he rose to his paws and made his way over to them in the hopes of being included. "I want to play too! I can be a great hunter… or a fish! Watch me go!" He dramatically fell onto the floor of the den and acted like he might have been swimming in the bed of moss he was in. "Glub… glub… I'm a fish-fish-fish… I like the water…" He made face that he thought a fish might make. "Cats cannot catch me… I can swim so fast! They cannot catch me!" He started wriggling away, scooting across the floor with a laugh.

Sootkit stopped as he heard Rowankit behind him. The small kit couldn't supress his smile as he watched the other kit imitate a fish. In fact he couldn't stop laughing either. The gray tabby rolled over with laughter.

He moved back toward the other kit. Play still on his mind. "Watch out little fish! Here comes the greatest hunter in Stormclan!" he said with a cheerful meow as he pounced toward Rowankit.

"Oh no!" Rowankit feigned a look of shock as he rolled across the ground, "Then I must swim away! Stormclan is too strong!" He wriggled faster and buried himself into the large moss pile, "Here I will hide where they can't find me! Haha! You'll never catch me underwater, Stormclan hunter!" He mewed, his voice muffled underneath the thick clumps of moss, but his tail waved back and forth with amusement at their game and he was grinning widely.

Moonkit slowly padded next to the other kits,she usually never liked playing with the other kits. but they where having so much fun...
-umm...err....c-could...could I play with you ?-
Her shyness was taking over. She hated it. but she really wanted to play. So she just sat there, waiting for a response.

Sootkit giggled at Rowankit as he pushed his way into the moss pile. The kill stuck low to the ground, his butt and tail high in the air as he playfully stalked forward. He moved to the side of his new target ready to pounce again. This time he planned on catching Rowankit.

Just as he landed on the pile of moss he heard another voice behind him. More to play with! This is great! The gray tabby smiled to Moonkit. "Sure," he said excitedly, "Wanna help me catch a fish?" His attention turned back to Rowankit under the moss. He playfully batted his paw were he though the other kit was. "Silly fish! Stormclan warriors can do anything!"

Featherkit watched for a minute before joining in. She wasn't sure about the new kits she always felt like the other kits might think she is to different because she ran out of energy really fast. "Fishes can't get away from me," she meowed pouncing towards Rowankit pretending that she was trying to catch him.

"Oh no… not three! I can't get away from three!" Rowankit wriggled and thrashed from under the moss as he was pounced on by Featherkit, "Noooo! Have mercy on me, Stormclan hunters! I promise I won't swim near here ever again! Don't eat meeee! I don't taste very good, you know! I taste like smelly moss!" He made a mock-terrified face with his ears pulled to the side and flailing front paws. Then he closed his eyes. "It's too much… You caught meee-" He finally flopped back down on his stomach face-down in the moss, his tail twitching in amusement.

Sootkit let out a small laugh as he watched his sister pounce on Rowankit. "Silly fish! Stormclan never gives up," the gray tabby pounced up, landing on Featherkit and Rowankit. "Well now look how is on top! That makes me the best in Stormclan," he yelled to his sister, and the dead 'fish' Rowankit with a smirk on his face.

Featherkit squeaked as her brother landed on top of her and the other kit knocking the breath out of her. "Want to bet," she meowed wiggling out from under her brother and leapt towards her brother trying to tackle him to the ground. She was having fun and didn't want her fun to end.

ThistleBranch had been watching the kits from a distance, playing games as usual. His gray and black fur was starting to shed, witch only made his nest more soft at night. (Sleeping sounds good right about now...) the large Tom said lost in thought.
Instead the warrior sat down watching the kits. Was he like that, even as a kitteypet? Mostlikey...he yawned and went over to the kits. "Do any of you want to hear a story after you are done playing?" He asked with a kind smile on his muzzle.

Nightshadow flicked her ears, unable to concentrate because of the the loud sounds of playing kits. She decided that it was time to stop thinking about her life and start paying attention to the other members of her clan. She glanced at the sky, always aware that her sister was watching her from the stars. My sister would not want me to be alone, and maybe I can start to make a few friends, she thought. She got up and walked toward the kits, about to watch from the shadows when she remembered: This time I will actually do something other then watch from the shadows. She looked around trying to decide where to sit. She noticed a large gray and black tom near the kits, talking to them. Maybe it's the right time to let my bright green eyes shine, instead of cursing the way they stop my black fur from totally blending into the shadows, she decided. She walked up to the tom and said, "A story is a good idea, they must get tired sometime! This way they can rest a little." She nervously thought, I hope they don't think I'm strange, and Starclan keep me from running away and never coming back! It's a good thing I don't sound to nervous.

"Good to see some one is interested in a good story!" The tom mewed with a beaming smile. "I haven't seen you around the camp before, my name is ThistleBranch." The large tom cat said with a flick of his tail ansd turned back twords the kits. "I can tell you the story of how tigers got their stripes."
