Outside the Boarder (Great Deku Tree)

Deku

OOC: Sorry this took me so long to make. I kind of forgot to make it it. 

Sparrow wandered outside of the TalonClan territory. he had learned his lesson about crossing the boarder, but they couldn't get mad at him for just standing outside of it. He stomach growled. He hadn't eaten in a long time. All of the prey that was around here crossed into TalonClan territory, so he couldn't get it.  He laid down and huffed. 

A mouse peeked its head out of the bushes. It sniffed the air and wandered slowly out of the bushes. Sparrow's ear perked up with excitement. He rose to his feet, and the mouse must have felt the ground move, because it shot off. Sparrow headed straight after it. He was aware he had crossed the boarder, but he didn't care any more. He was hungry! 

He pounce forward and wrapped his jaws around the mouse cutting off it's air. He crunched it down as quickly as he could. I forgot how good food was!

(Don't worry. I forgot about it until now too x3 We did say Shimmer-rain right?)

Shimmer-rain padded through the territory quietly. She had been out here forever with nothing to do. At the moment, anything would satisfy her. Even a little tussle with some rogues. "Why does TalonClan have to be so boring sometimes?" She asked herself, wandering towards the border.

When she finally reached the border she caught a foreign scent. "Loner." She muttered and dropped to the ground, trying to get close without being noticed. As she got closer she could see this loner eating a mouse that had obviously crossed. "Hey! What are you doing on TalonClan territory?"

OOC: Thanks. Yea you said Shimmer-rain.

Sparrow's head shot up and looked sheepishly at the she-cat. Fox-dung! Seriously this TalonClan warrior had to come around now! She couldn't have waited a few moments. "Uh... Sorry I crossed the boarder." He gestured to the bones at his feet, "Um... My piece of prey crossed the boarder, and I kind of followed it. Sorry." He felt guilty. He knew that there were cats in TalonClan who needed this food too, but he had been so hungry. He couldn't help himself.

[Deku]

She looked the tom over. He did appear rather skinny. Maybe he needed this prey more than TalonClan did. She sighed. "It's fine. TalonClan has plenty of prey at the moment, but I would advise you not to hunt on clan territory again." As she said this, she meant not only TalonClan, but all clans. Some other less forgiving patrol might catch him next time. Then who knew what would happen?

"I'm Shimmer-rain. What's your name?" She asked. She might as well get to know this tom. She could always use a new friend.

He dipped his head with gratitude. Thank fully this cat was much nicer than the others he meet. "nice to meet you Shimmer-rain. I'm Sparrow. I've been hanging around your clan's territory for a while. I'm looking for a cat, but she doesn't appear to be here. I got told by another loner that a she-cat, who might be my sister, joined a clan."

Okay this wasn't a hundred percent true. The loner, Wolf, had actually said that she had might have join a clan, but he wanted to have hope. It would be much easier to find her if she was in a clan. He could just ask the cas who lived there. Or even better, head into the clans to see if she was there. Maybe if they were friendly enough.

[Deku]

"Nice to meet you Sparrow." She sat down in front of the tom. As he mentioned his sister she tilted her head slightly. "Hmm... Do you know how long she's been in a clan? Recently, TalonClan hasn't accepted outsiders, and I'm honestly not sure how many other clans are in the same situation."

She could relate a bit to his situation. She had lost her own family a long time ago before she joined TalonClan. Watched them killed right before her own eyes. She had suffered with the pain of knowing she wasn't going to see them again for a long time, and she didn't want Sparrow to be left in the dark about his sister.

"No I don't know." He said sadly. "The information the loner gave me was vague." He shook his head. "All I know about her where about is that she left the two-legs that had imprisoned her." He wished Wolf had told him more. Maybe a little bit about which direction she had gone. "if it helps. She is a calico. That's all I know. She was too young for me to know her eye color."

[Deku]

"I'm sorry Sparrow. There are so many calico she-cats in the clans, and I don't get to the gatherings enough to learn of their past. I really wish I could help you." What she spoke was true, for there was real sadness showing in her ocean blue eyes. She hated feeling helpless in situations like these.

"Your best bet would be to move around. Don't stay near one clan for too long. Only stay long enough to learn if your sister is around, and be cautious."

Sparrow's ears drooped, "Well thanks anyways. I guess you're right. This is the only clan I have visited." He sighed a little, "I guess I should leave this territory soon. You are quite right about unfriendly patrols. I've already meet a few unfriendly TalonClan cats, and I would hate to meet a whole patrol of them."

Then he looked at Shimmer-rain, "Why aren't you chasing me out of here? You warned me, but you haven't really treated me like threat."

[Deku]

She flinched inwardly at his question. Should she tell him of her past? Should she tell him of the pain it inflicted on her? She felt as if she needed to answer his question.

"Well, as a kit, my parents tried to start their own clan. My littermates and I, we were living happily in our little piece of territory. Then, one day, twolegs and their dogs invaded. They killed my parents and littermates and left me, dying in the field. By some miracle, another cat came and helped me. I healed and soon set off looking for a new home, and then I came across this place." She gestured to the mountain. "For many moons I lived with the pain of my lost family, until another she-cat, a friend, taught to forget the past and live on the present."

"I guess that you trying to find your sister, it just relates to my story."

Sparrow listened to her story. It reminded him of his story, "I understand your pain. I livid with my mother, sister, and even my brother. We were so happy together. Then twolegs came and took my brother and sister away. I was so devastated. I thought that I would never be okay again, but I also thought at least I still had my mother." He sighed sadly, "Life is cruel. I soon lost my mother too. After that I decided to devote my life to finding my brother and sister."

He closed his eyes. It felt kind of nice to get that out in the open. Even thought it was something as simple as his past. It felt nice to share it with another cat.

[Deku]

Shimmer-rain listened to his story quietly. Their stories were similar. The only difference was his had hope. He had hope that he could still find his sister. She sighed. "Well, now we can live this cruel life together. If you ever need me, just come down here at about this time. I always walk this way."

Sparrow smiled and purred, "I will. It is nice having someone to talk to. Who isn't just talking to him so he can hunt for them, and then they grab the prey and run." He laugh a little too himself. It was a little funny. Kind of like a sick joke, but he tried to be a positive cat. Not matter how bad life gets always keep your head and tail up.

[Deku]

"You know what? We could even meet here tomorrow if you wanted. Then, maybe I could help you figure out where to look for your sister." If he agreed, it was good. Her clan life was getting boring. No one to talk to anymore now that Frostdrop had a mate and kits. "So, we gonna meet tomorrow or would you rather look for your sister?"

Sparrow's ears pricked up, "Really! I would love that!" Then he shifted, "Ya know so we can talk about finding my sister. I don't need to start looking for her immeaditly. She will still be in the same clan. I think thats how this clan thing works." He frowned. He didn't really know that much about clan life.
