He eyed the she-cat again, her gaze raking across her pelt and taking note of every rib and bone he could see underneath her pelt. He wondered if she would even be able to make it to twoleg-place to begin with. Thistletail knew he shouldn't be helping her, but at this point, he felt some type of responsibility. He had given her the idea of what to do next, he might as well make sure she made it there. Plus I have to know that she'll leave the territory in one piece. The tom knew of a few warriors back in camp that wouldn't mind tearing this lowly female apart. but she'll need strength for the journey. "Yes, I'll lead you. but you're going to need something to eat or I doubt you'll have a chance of making it. Wait here.." He left her sitting alone as he darted off.
He was out of her view as he padded into a small area that contained undergrowth, and quickly parted his jaws to scent for any signs of prey. He felt incredibly guilty for even thinking about giving away precious prey during such a hard leafbare, but he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he stood back and watched a cat starve. It didn't take long for him to pick up the scent of a vole. He tracked it quickly, stalking towards it in his best hunting crouch, and was soon pouncing ontop of it and killed it easily with a swift nip to it's spine. He raced back to the she-cat, anxious to know she hadn't left again to wander farther into clan territory, and was relieved to find her sitting where he had left her. He dropped the small creature at her paws. It wasn't much, but it would be enough to allow her to make the journey to twoleg-place. "Eat this and then we'll go," he mewed sternly.
