Here Comes the Bundles of Joy! {Open}

[Foxpaw]

Blizzardnight suddenly let out a sharp cry, sharper than any she'd made yet. She was having trouble with this one, and she was tired. It wasn't a good combination. She dug her claws into the ground looking up at her mate with panic in her oddly colored eyes.

[Midnight]

Sunheart nuzzled against Blizzardnight's cheek in another attempt to comfort her. "It's okay, this kit will be as healthy as the others.. You'll be okay." Inside he worried about the truth of his words- were they actually real or just reassuring words?

Puddlekit kicked out his hind legs.

[kiba]

Redstar's ears laid flat on his head as he heard her piercing cry. He looked at the medicine cat apprentice. "You can do this. I don't know where Gingerleaf is, but I believe in you, Birchpaw," he mewed, looking straight into the medicine cat apprentice's eyes. His pelt was prickling with unease.

[Splash]

His own worried outward breath was stifled by the herbs as he pushed forward, through the other cats so that he was next to the queen. Setting the herbs down next to him, he crouched next to the queen. It was at times that a Medicine Cat would send away the mate to get wet moss or some other useless task, but, it was best that he stay now. It would most likely help the queen to have her mate by her, more so when he was giving reassurance. He nodded in Sunhearts direction, and meowed, "He's right this kit will be as healthy as the others." It ought to help, even if he wasn't sure. It was it's own type of medicine. It ought to make her feel hopeful, hearing it from a Medicine Cat, even if he was just an apprentice. It ought to help everyone, and the most importing thing now was that she would be strong enough to push through it. It could be a pack of lies, but, for the moment, it would be the only kind of medicine he could use.

[Foxpaw]

Blizzardnight relaxed at both her Medicine cat and mate's words, using them to give her strength. She let out another sharp cry before pushing the last kit out, whimpering in agony. The pain slowly began to subside, although there was still a dull ache. She tiredly licked her beautiful kits before lying her head down tiredly.

[Splash]

Birchpaw quickly grabbed the borage."You'll need to eat this. It helps with milk flow. Just chew it and then swallow." Maybe he wouldn't need the thyme after all. All the cats here seemed to be fine, the kits were heathy so there would be no need for poppyseeds. It had all worked out. He would have to stay for a little while, but, once Blizzardnight had eaten the borage, she would most likely fall asleep. Then he would leave. Would Gingerleaf hear of this? It would be great if she did. She couldn't not notice the fact that there were three new kits. but for the moment, he stayed crouched by the tree.

[Midnight]

Sunheart purred, "you did great, Blizzardnight... No cat could ask for a better mate or better kits than ours.. They're all wonderful.. Oh, look! The last one looks just like you." He flicked his tail at the black-and-white kit. "Whatever you want the name to be, I don't care. I just want you and our kits to be happy and safe."

The black-and-white kit tried to lift his head and let out a mewl, heading for his mother's belly.

[Foxpaw]

Blizzardnight weakly and tiredly ate the herbs as she was told. She nudged her last kit to her belly, licking his head. "Puddlekit..." she murmured, gazing down at her new kits with pure love. Exhaustion threatened to overtake the part time queen, but she didn't want to leave this moment with her mate and kits.

[Midnight]

"That's a great name!" Sunheart meowed happily. "I'm going to sleep here tonight, okay? I want to be with you and the kits." Sunheart hoped he wouldn't have to take 'no' as an answer because warriors weren't really supposed to sleep in the nursery- especially when they were toms and thus couldn't birth kits!

[Splash]

Birchpaw stretched to his feet as the queen ate the herbs. Considering what he'd just done, he didn't make a single sound of protest when Sunheart asked Blizzardnight if he could stay over that night. It would be good for the two to spend their first night with their kits together. And Birchpaw was too tiered to protest it anyway. He'd been told about how to take care of a birthing. but, this was his first experience as a Medicine Cat apprentice, and he'd done it alone. Grabbing up the thyme to take back to the herb store, Birchpaw made his way out of the nursery. He'd have to reorganise the things he'd tipped over, and put the thyme back. Then he would most likely fall straight asleep. He wasn't as tired as the queen, but, it had been a bit stressful to handle alone. The tip of his tortoiseshell tail waved out of sight as he left the nursery.

[kiba]

Redstar purred. "Its an honor to have been here for you both. All the kits look healthy. I'm sure Leopard's kits will have them getting into trouble before you know it," he mewed, a mrrow of laughter escaping him. He then got to his paws and turned, waving his tail in goodbye.

[Foxpaw]

"Thank you Birchpaw, thank you Redstar..." She mewed, eyes full of pride. Then she turned to her mate. "I'd be upset if you didn't," She tiredly but lovingly mewed.

[Midnight]

Sunheart's eyes lit with amusement, "and the trouble they'll get in!" He agreed with Redstar. "Yes, thanks." The tom purred as his mate said she'd be upset if he didn't. He blinked at her, "I'm so happy that we had kits.. They'll be great Clan cats."

[Foxpaw]

"The best in the clan..." Blizzardnight agreed groggily, exhaustion overcoming the strong she-cat finally. With one last loving look at her family, she laid her head between her paws and closed her eyes.
