So, first of all, I'll say that this is about twelve hours earlier, but who cares?
Now I'm going to give you all a really sappylong little speech that you can skip over if you're not bored enough to read.
I'd give shout-outs, but I don't think that's very fair, because all of the members here are equal, really. You all joined AWRP for whatever reason. You found us through some search engine, a topsite, an advertisement, even a friend, or some other way, but whatever way that was, something about us must've caught your eye or interested you, or you wouldn't be here, right? No matter what that was, you came, and if you're reading this now, you probably stayed.
All I can really say to those people is thank you, because I feel that's all that I really need to say.
I can't really describe how much my writing and even social skills (you know, patience, answering questions, being kind to all, etc.) have improved since I made this forum. I'm proud of it, and I've made many, many internet friends and have had plenty of great experiences on this forum that I wouldn't have had unless I'd made it on this day two years ago.
With that, I wish AWRP a happy 2nd birthday, and here's to hoping for many, many more years of running an active Warriors RP.
Alright, sappy stuff over! Time for the celebration stuff~
First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who gave suggestions for things to do on this day, and I'd like to congratulate Sand for giving the suggestion that won her $60,000 leaves.
If you haven't already read, then the suggestion was that we let some cats have Dark Forest mentors. I included StarClan in this, as well, so that will be a store-bought thing starting tomorrow, June 27th, 2013 (which is actually my nephew's 5th birthday xD).
For today, however, the whole thing will be free.
So, you may be wondering how we'll set this up, correct?
Well, I hadn't thought about that till now.
What I'm going to do is create a sub-board in Tracking for finding a StarClan/Dark Forest mentor for your apprentice/warrior character. For apprentices, a StarClan/Dark Forest mentor does not replace a normal mentor, so they'll have two mentors.
Yes, no matter what, you will be allowed to choose your character's SC/DF mentor (make sure to get permission from the RPer of the mentor!)
Another celebratory thing is that all members online in the past 7 days will receive $200, which is inspired by both Frostbite and Legit. This will last 7 days from now, so people who join in the next week will also get $200. ^^
All litters born in the next 7 days will have a total of 8 kittens in them, no matter what. The health rolls will remain, however. This means that every litter's getting an extra three kits for free~
Finally, the last thing is similar to one of the RP things we had last year, and this year's was partly inspired by Frostbite, as well: There will be an extra four gatherings in the Pond of Truce for July. These will not be normal, news-giving type of gatherings; rather, they're for the cats of all Clans to mingle, chat, play, show off, things of the like. There will be a thread for elders, a thread for warriors, one for apprentices, and finally, queens and kits will share a thread.
Once again, it's similar to the ones we had last year, but focuses more on the Clans connecting and sharing as one. Besides, we have way more members than last year, so they'll be much more fun this time around!
