Name: Mothcloud
Age: 28 moons
Gender: female
Appearance: Mothcloud is mottled black, ginger and cream tortoiseshell she-cat, whose black markings dominate her pelt patterning. Her tail is completely black and her paws are socked in light cream fur that contrast greatly with her darkened leg fur. Her face is only speckled slightly with ginger flecks, aside from a large ginger blaze that splashed across her left eye and tapers off by her forehead. Her eyes are a golden-orange amber in coloring and her whiskers are relatively short in length, though hardly visible against her pelt. Mothcloud holds an average height in stature and seems to have a skinnier, lithe build with wiry muscle. Her face is slightly rounded as well as her ears, which are widely set on her head.
Personality: Mothcloud is a super-organized and systematic she-cat who prides herself on paying attention to detail and performing duties smoothly. She is serious-minded in nature and oftentimes very logical. She is the type of cat who would much rather think things through in a great amount of depth to be sure of every possibility before acting. To this reason, she might commonly be caught lost deep in thought or rather distracted as she moves about caught off-guard. She has trouble relaxing and always feels as if she should be doing something, therefore keeping herself constantly busy and on her paws. It is as if that by relaxing or taking a break, she feels that she might miss something important or is letting down the clan in someway. It can be a fight to get her to sit down and stop hovering for even a second.
Mothcloud can also be impatient and this results in bossiness and snappy remarks at the very worst of instances when she feels this way, so she is not a cat to be kept waiting or to be ignored. Her good traits include loyalty, being honest, and protective, though sometimes her honesty can come off a bit bluntly so. She is a stickler to the Warrior Code because she feels they are rules of great importance that should be held as such, and if broken they might collapse the order and the clans themselves. This view has and will greatly affect how she reacts to situations in the clans.
Mothcloud, however, seems to pay a bit too much attention to detail, to the point where she can be considered obsessive-compulsive. When things do not go as planned she can become quite frantic and upset and her worries increase. Even the smallest of details can cause this, much to other cats' dismay, and it seems clear that Mothcloud is not the type of cat who is able to relax and let things go easily. Mothcloud also feels such the need to pay attention to every detail in camp, that it can also benefit the clan. For one, she desperately tries to be attentive to every cat and not ignore or forget about anyone if she can physically help it. She is eager to listen if there is a problem that arises and determined to solve it. Of course, through her logical minded personality, there is the result that she sometimes thinks she is right and will shut down to input or other opinions, having been convinced through her own thinking. This stubbornness can be hard to battle out of her, and it often takes much arguing and reason to get her to sway when she is set in this mindset.
+ Loyal, honesty, protective, efficient, Attentive, logical.
- Impatience and can be snappy/bossy when impatient, sometimes thinks she is right and shuts down to other opinions, Obsessive Compulsive, becomes frantic/upset when things go unplanned, worrier.
: Often serious and calculating in nature, super-organized and systematic, stickler to the Warrior Code, can seem consumed in her thoughts, likes to keep herself busy or otherwise feels restless.
~ She is a better hunter than a fighter. Her thin and lithe build makes her quick on her paws.
History:
Mothcloud was born into the clan as a single kit of a litter. Her parents were both clanborn Midnightclanners, and they doted on her for being their only kit of their second litter. The first litter, Mothkit's older siblings, were two toms and a she-cat, all of which were older apprentices at the time of Mothkit's birth. Mothkit often felt lonely without any immediate siblings to play with and with the others out training all the time, but she quickly found companionship and entertainment in the other kits of the nursery. They had a few squabbles and falling outs throughout Mothkit's six moons due to her somewhat know-it-all nature then and because she would argue with them stubbornly if she felt that something should be a certain way, but for the most part they played together like neighbors. Mothkit was never one for play-fighting as a kit since she usually ended up tackled, pounced, and/or crushed underneath the much older kits as well as her older siblings, and so she took favor in other games that required less rough physical contact. Her favorites were moss ball, hide and seek, chase, and "best hunters"; which all required some sort of running and skill. Having an overly curious nature, Mothkit was commonly reprimanded for being in places she didn't belong. It was not unlikely to find her spying on the warriors, snooping around in the Leader's den or getting under cat's paws. One time she was even caught in the medicine cat's den, after her older brother had been scratched in battle, "getting him herbs" to heal him. Well, she thought she was getting him herbs, but what the medicine cat saw was a tiny kit standing in the middle of the den, all of the various herbs that she could possibly reach with her tiny kit paws had been torn down and strewn everywhere, a large pile of it in her mouth and scraps of it in her dark tortoiseshell fur. It was safe to say that Mothkit received quite a tongue-lashing after that incident and kept very close to the nursery.
Soon Mothkit was named Mothpaw and assigned a mentor. She was eager to learn everything she could at first, but then became a little frustrated with the training. Some of the moves, especially in battle, she just couldn't get right, and she didn't like to feel that she was failing at something. She blamed her mentor's training for it, but later had to come to the acceptance that it was herself and that she just couldn't get the moves down without help. Her mentor walked her through most of it slowly, not satisfied until she had perfected them entirely. Mothpaw did enjoy trying to teach the kits the things she was learning, even if she didn't know how to perform it entirely. She also didn't mind organizing the dens because she loved how it looked when it was tidy, but she couldn't stand working on it with other apprentices. They always did it all wrong in her mind, and missed pieces and left the beds not as she wanted it. Her obsessive-compulsiveness caused her to spend a lot of time reorganizing the dens after they had set it up, claiming that they had not done it right despite when other cats told her that she didn't need to worry about it. She wasn't happy though until she felt it was absolutely perfect.
Somewhere along her eighth moon was when the apprentice experienced her first battle. The rush and chaos of it overwhelmed the poor she-cat, who up to this point had never seen so much disorder and frenzy. She struggled to get through it, relying mainly on her swiftness to dodge blows and attacking back when she could. She still managed to get ambushed by two large warriors who were intent on pouncing on her. They landed some blows before her mentor and another warrior jumped in to fight them off. In the end the apprentice had several large scratches across her pelt and one large shoulder wound. It thankfully healed without infection after days of attention, now leaving only the faintest of a scar traced on her pelt that is only visible when looked at very closely. After that day, battles seemed to be much easier... well, at least on the overwhelming standpoint. Mothpaw could begin to pay attention to tactics and strategies that were being yowled out in the battles and instructed by their deputy. One day they used a tactic to sneak up on invaders and take them by surprise, which resulted in them eventually fleeing. This led to Mothpaw's fascination in strategy and logic, for the invaders would have more than likely defeated them if it had been the other way around.
After many moons of training and quite a few more skirmishes, natural disasters and battles, Mothpaw and a few other apprentices were evaluated and then given their warrior names. Mothpaw became Mothcloud, and took sudden pride in being at the point where she now knew much more than she had as an apprentice. The best part to her was to be able to perform her own duties on her own time if not scheduled for a patrol, and she occupied herself by keeping herself as busy as she could with them. Eventually she was given two apprentices, both at the same time. It was a pawful to keep them under check and to learn how to train them both effectively, and it took much struggling to get them to cooperate and listen to her. She was afraid to give them up to another mentor though, because she was determined that she could accomplish it by herself and not show the other cats that she was giving up. After several moons of conflict they finally accepted her as a mentor and actually began to listen. One became a skilled fighter, the other a decent hunter respectively, and both were named warriors much to Mothcloud's relief and happiness.
