Bluewing had been able to finally slip away from camp, it had been hard to slip away from camp since a lot of her clan mates had been wounded. It was times like this that she was really happy to have an apprentice to take care of things when she was away. The Leafclan medicine cat made her way to the skyfield her thoughts on Silverstar. Now that Silverstar was dead she was hoping that Starclan would give her some insight on who the next leader of Leafclan was going to be. The Medicine cat finally reached the Skyfield and closed her eyes only to wake up in Starclans clearing and waited to be greeted by a Starclan cat.

ooc: I wasn't sure how you wanted to do this so I made this a private thread for just my cat and one of your Starclan cats.

(Perfect! ^^ Legit, the roleplayer, and myself are the only ones who know right now, anyway, so having other StarClanners coming in would be a bit awkward.)

Fernstar paced, her fur sticking up all over the place. Since she'd ended the battle, the ancient leader had been worried sick about her decision. Was she making the right decision? Would this cat be good, then take a flip like Silverstar did? Was LeafClan doomed? Breathing fast, the brown tabby went over all of the living warriors in LeafClan in her head several times again, trying to make sure she didn't leave any candidates out.

It had to be done like this. Besides, Bluewing had arrived.

"Bluewing," Fernstar purred, approaching the medicine cat and nuzzling her in greeting. "Bluewing, I've been so worried, but I think I've made the right choice. I just pity the cat who has to take on this position after Silverstar left our Clan in ruins. Are you ready for this information? Once I tell you, you must go back to LeafClan, alert the tom, and tell him to travel here for her nine lives."

Bluewing purred when she saw Fernstar and she dipped her head towards the she-cat the tip of her tail twitching back and forth. She had always been able to freely show her emotions in Starclan something she hadn't really ever been able to do in the waking world. "Its hard not be worried after what Silverstar did to the clan, I'm sure you've come to the right decision," Bluewing meowed her eyes softening. "Yes, I'm ready for the information, Leafclan has to survive and we can't survive as a clan without a leader," she meowed nodding at what Fernstar had to say.

Stepping back, Fernstar's eyes narrowed. The old StarClanner took a deep breath and let out a meow, "Frostnose (Lemonade). Frostnose is destined to be the next leader of LeafClan. He is brave and a warrior who has shown nothing but loyalty to LeafClan, and I would entrust my Clan to few other warriors. He is easygoing, but still takes authority when he needs to, and I feel he can bring LeafClan out of its current state with ease." Fernstar closed her mouth, jaw tightening as she waited for a response. Bluewing knew the cats of LeafClan better than Fernstar - she spent every day and night with them and was always closer to them. Fernstar watched carefully, but she spent time reminiscing and chatting with other StarClanners - and boy were there a lot of them - as well, so she definitely didn't have as much inner knowledge of LeafClan's warriors as Bluewing had.

Bluewing watched Fernstar waiting for her answer, she was sure that Fernstar would choose a good leader for her clan. When Fernstar actually gave her a name for the new Leafclan leader she thought of who the cat was talking about, it took her while to actually be able to place a name with the cat. "I think Frostnose is a good choice, she is brave and seems like a good hearted cat," she meowed hoping Frostnose wouldn't turn down the position. "She will be a strong leader who will make Leafclan the clan it once was before Silverstar came along," she meowed.

(Leave it to me to screw up: I was constantly thinking that Frostnose was a girl when he's actually a he. x.x Sorry.)

Fernstar let out a sigh of relief, her chest completely deflating when the held air was gone. "I'm glad you think so, Bluewing, because I honestly don't know what I would've done otherwise. There are many good, leader-worthy cats in LeafClan, but from what I've seen, I really think that Frostnose is a good option for that. He'll be a leader LeafClan can look up to after all of this time, and I can only hope that there will be many stories for elders to tell kits about him long after he's gone." Fernstar dipped her head to the medicine cat. "Right, then. Off you go. Good luck, Bluewing."

Bluewing was glad that they had been able to choose a good leader for Frostnose, she had never talked to Frostnose but she had seen him around camp and knew that he was a good cat. "Yes, that is true, though most of them aren't to good in situations like this," she meowed not really wanting to say anything bad about any of her clan mates. Bluewing listened to what Fernstar had to say and nodded, she wanted a leader that everyone could be proud of. "Good bye Fernstar," she meowed closing her eyes and started to fade from Starclans clearing.
