Meeting Under the Pale Moon (Isilme, Open to Stormclanner's)

Palewing eyes fluttered open when she was sure everyone must be asleep. She picked her way out of the warrior's den careful not to tread on any cat's tail. Out of the warrior's den the orange white cat patted out of the camp following her path towards the Pond of Truce.

It wasn't that far, at less for her. she felt bad every time she met with Crowtail, remembering the long path he had to take to get there. It was the only way to meet. 'You shouldn't be meeting in the first place'. she winced as her conscience came back to haunt her.

They had been meeting for awhile now and she began to lose count. Guilt claw'd her belly, was she being unloyal? She wasn't giving away clan secrets... Why did it matter that they were meeting? She sighed as she battled with these thoughts and emotions. It seemed that whenever she though of him this always seemed to happen but when she saw him all her worries seemed to melt away.

She drew close to the pond and noted that the ice that froze the pond had melted. Newleaf was drawing near and the snow that littered the ground had diminished to light slush. She opened her jaw to pick up Crowtail's scent. When she didn't seem to pick it up she lowered herself to the ground. Her belly brushed the ground quicker than it should have. She was slightly larger and she wondered why. Perhaps it was just fact that leafbare was ending. Yes that must be the reason... unless...

No. No that cant be it. She quickly dismissed the thought and waited patiently for Crowtail.

He was late, thats all the black long furred tom could think while running to the pound of truce, again he cursed for the long distance he had to make but it was all worth to see Palewing. Crowtail could only think on the she cat these days, he was even thinking about going to stormclan just to be near her, he wanted to have a family and with them so far away from each other it was not very possible.
Finally he approached the pound, his breath was fast and he was glad that the ice had melted, the black tom loved swimming and didn't hesitate to cross the river leaving his long fur wet.
He ignored that for the time being and opened his mounth to smell better, and for sure, his beautiful mate was already there, Crowtail purred and got walked to where she was. "Palewing." He meowed softly looking at her green eyes.

She jumped slightly at the voice only to realize that it belonged to Crowtail. His pitch black fur, perfectly blended to the night and the water that clung to his pelt gave off little scent. She got up and greeted him with a lick on the ear. Stepping back she let out a loud purr of amusement. His fur was dripping wet. "And you worried about me catching a death of cold." She said, noting back to when they had first met and Crowtail worried about her catching a sickness. She never did find that herb, though, and ended up meeting Crowtail day after day afterwards 'Searching for the herb'.

Honeyheart had decided to take a walk that night, her night was restless. She wasn't sure why, but sleep just seemed to evade her. The small she-cat had hoped a walk in the cool air would help sleep. She enjoyed watching the bare branches move in the breeze above. New-leaf was coming. She smiled to herself. She couldn't wait for her sister's kits to finally get moving with the new weather finally coming in.

Finally feeling sleepy the she-cat started to head back to camp. but the sound of footsteps stopped her, her ears perked. It wasn't prey, maybe an interder. The she cat made her way to the sound. It's moving towards the Pond of Truce? Wait that's... Palewing? Down wind Honeyheart followed the she-cat as quietly as she could. Where are you going? She could feel her heart pang with fear.

As they reached the pond she noticed not only Palewing, but also a dark tom... she squinted her eyes trying to remember the face. He smelled of sunset. Her eyes widened and her heart sunk. She had hoped she was wrong, but it seemed so. Palewing was meeting with Crowtail. The she-cat felt anger rise in her. Palewing is putting Stormclan last. How dare she?!

"Palewing!" the she-cat yowled to her clanmate. Although not one to usually get angry she could not ignore this. She was breaking clan code and that was unacceptable.

Crowtail had been way too distracted with Palewing presence, that could be the only reason why he had not noticed the other she cat presence before, the large black tom looked at her direction in shock only a few moments before moving his body to cover Palewing smaller one. "Who are you?" He hissed threating his yellow eyes shining into the night. "You have no businnes here keep going." He meowed his claws and fangs showing that he meant it.
