He fell asleep again, but she kissed him awakeEmberbreeze's mouth was full of moss, and, as she had just discovered that day, her belly was full of kits. She had been feeling the...symptoms for a while. Nausea, hunger, pain, but today was the day she finally realized what exactly was going on. She was pregnant. Again. And honestly, she was ecstatic. Her first little had been three tiny and weak kits, two of which died early on. And, even though others insisted that it was not, Emberbreeze knew it was all her fault. She was not sure what she did that let these kits die, but she swore that she would never let anything bad happen to them again.Featherear followed the sandy-colored warrior, his best friend, his beloved mate. Whatever he decided to refer to her in his head did not end up mattering. She was his and his alone, and that was all that mattered. He adored this cat, everything about her. Not only was she the most beautiful cat he knew, she was also the only one who tried to help him when he was a brainless, weak apprentice with no way to communicate. She taught him everything he knew, which was quite a feat due to his deaf ears. And she seemed to be the only one that did not look to him in dislike or pity. She looked to him with love and acceptance, and that was all he wished to do for her as well.Filled in the snowy colored tom's mouth was also a pile of moss. He held it delicately, making sure to not let it come undone and fall onto the slightly muddy clearing dirt. He did not want his nest getting dirty, after all.The pair soon reached the nursery, Emberbreeze's new den. The she-cat turned to glance back at her mate, then padded under the small opening that shieded the nursery from the harsh winds of the mountains. It may have been New-leaf, but it was still bitterly cold. Although Emberbreeze hardly had to duck under the low-hanging entrance, Featherear nearly needed to crawl. He was such a large tom, and he hated when his long, thick fur got caught things.Emberbreeze padded carefully to the corner of the den, and set down her ball of moss. Featherear did the same, setting down his own ball parralell to the orange she-cat's. Emberbreeze began to squish her nest into a small nest, and Featherear nosed his own pile to add to her nest. After they were finished, Emberbreeze curled into the nest, and turned to Featherear. Her tail flicked to gently tap the tom's paw, and Featherear reached down to touch Emberbreeze's cheek. With a small, comforting smile, he stood and left the den, crawling back into the clearing. With excitement in her eyes, Emberbreeze looked around the nursery, searching for another queen to converse with. She may as well make some friends while she was in here.and he smiled as though he would be happy to just lie there, staring into her eyes forever
