Waiting on the Snake Monster (Silm)

Isilme- For Moonpelt and Bluemist. (;

Bluemist sat in the grass, her brainless gaze set upon the thunderpath. I can't wait to see the snake monster! It will be so cool! Then I can tell everyone in the clan! Bluemist spent most of her days here. She was convinced the snake monster came all the time! but only when other cats wern't looking. Her plan was to wait until it came, so she could tell everyone it really did exist. Little did she understand that even if she did see it, nobody would have ever believed her. Nobody in the clan took Bluemist seriously, but she hadn't even noticed. She thought she was extremely well loved by her clanmates.

Moonpelt just wanted to get away from the accusing looks, almost everyone knew about his fame right now and so it grew more and more difficult to be there with all the looks, he was now nearly on the snake monster tracks and for his surprise he was not alone, Bluemist was there as well and she seemed to he waiting for something. Moonpelt approached her curious and some mean thoughts forming on his mind. "Hello there Bluemist, a lovely day don't you think?" He purred and sat by her side.

Bluemist's fur stood on edge as she heard a voice, bouncing straight up into the air and landing a taillength away with a startled scream. "Oh! It's just you Peltmoon!" She meowed, getting his name incorrect, as she struggled to calm her long bluish grey fur. She sat back down, looking at the cat for a moment. "Oh! Yes, it is a lovely day! Such a beautiful day! Are you waiting for the snake monster too?" This tom was being nice to her so she had already decided that they must be friends. Finally! Someone else who could sit here all day with her and wait on the snake monster to come back.

He resisted the urge to simple leave the same second she said his name wrong, Moonpelt had forgotten just how dumb the she cat really was. "Actually I came here to see you." He smiled sweetly and sat very close to her. "You are very beautiful, a sight for sore eyes so I decided to stay here with you." The tom purred gentle as always.

Bluemist's heart just about dropped out of her chest. "Oh! She said, quite surprised. Nobody had ever said these types of things to her! She was intrigued at what was going on here. She took a step closer to him, accidentally stepping on his paw. She didn't even notice as she stood there standing on top of him without even a budge. "That's so nice of you! Nobody is ever nice to me." She said with a shy look on her face. Nobody ever treated poor Bluemist with kindness. "You're..." She tried to think of a nice compliment "Smell good." She blank and smiled brightly...not even realizing that 'You're smell good' really made no darn sense in the least. "And you're so kind! Do you have a mate Moonpelt?" Maybe the question was very invasive, but poor little Bluemist didn't even understand.

Moonpelt felt a little bad for her but he purred after taking his paw from under her own. "Thank you, I lile your smell too Bluemist." He meowed and nuzzled her kindly. "No I have no mate, why do you ask?" The tom smiled with the corner of his mouth. "Are you interested?" He purred seductive as always.

Bluemist shook her head quietly, "Oh no! Don't worry, I'm not interested in your mate." She was sad that the handsome cat in front of her already had a mate. but he had no reason to worry, she wasn't interested in his mate in the least. "I was interested in you. but you have a mate. That's alright though! I guess I'll find someone to be my mate someday." Poor Bluemist was so internally dumb and innocent that she couldn't even comprehend cheating. That was just a myth right? Cheating. Nobody actually did that! She smiled as he nuzzled her, not understanding the feeling she had. She tried to run her face on his awkwardly, but wasn't sure if she did it right.

Moonpelt resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Bluemist, I said that I don't have a mate." He meowed gentle explaining for the slow thinking she cat. "I would never betray my mate if I had one." The tom meowed with as much conviction as he could, oh my he was so mean, the white tom smiled to her seductive as his eyes scanned her frame, she was indeed beautiful, only if she had a little more brain...

Poor silly Bluemist could barely listen straight. "OHHH! That you DONT have a mate! Oh that's good...I mean...I think...it's good. Maybe. Maybe it wasn't good for him, or who knows. Maybe it was. Who knows, but she was excited about it so it worked out for her right?

"Oh really? That's good! It's always right to be loyal. Only a jerk wouldn't be." Even Bluemist could comprehend that. "Well I don't have a mate... She said, hoping that maybe something could happen between the two of them. She tried to make her face look all seductive like she had seen some of her clanmates do. Maybe he will be my mate! And then I can say I have a mate! That would be lots of fun!

Moonpelt purred nuzzling the she cat neck. "Well would you like to have a mate sweet Bluemist?" He asked full of second intentions that she would never realize, she propably couldn't even dream of the things he did or had done in his life and well, even dumb as she was if she had any idea she would refuse him right away.

Bluemist's eyes shined brightly like never before, hope and love just pouring out of them. The poor little thing didn't even realize how much bad news Moonpelt really was. She was too honest to even understand that some cats lied, and not only did they lie...some cats happened to be very good at doing such. "YES!" She practically screamed at him, not really knowing what having a mate was like. "Ummm...what do mates do? Should we hang out all the time or something?" She really had no clue what was next. All the mates she knew hung out a lot and were nice to each other. That's when she realized she didn't even know the difference between a mate and a friend. "Ummm...what's the difference between a mate and a friend Moonpelt?" At least this time she got his name right.

Moonpelt blinked, she must be kidding... Right? but as he looked at her eyes the tom knew that she was very very serious about that. "Well you see, mates have kits and sleep together while friends only have fun." He meowed only hoping she would understand and not make him explain futher, or the tom might just give up on trying to mess with the she cat.

Bluemist's eyes got big. What have I gotten myself into! Now that I have a mate I have to have kits! What if they don't love me? Bluemist was so use to being put down and walked all over that she figured her own kits would even make fun of her. Of course most of the time when other cats were mean to her she barely noticed. It wasn't very often that she understood how badly they didn't have any interest in her or want to be friends with her even.

"OH! Well when do I have the kits?" She thought having kits would be pretty easy. Don't you carry them in your belly for a day and then they pop out...somehow?

She suddenly remembered that she had a mate and got overly happy again. Her tail breezing by in the wind as it flew back and forth with eagerness. A big smile was stuck to her face for no apparent reason, and she was looking at Moonpelt all...creepy like randomly. She wasn't the queen of seductiveness for sure.

OOC: Queen of naive cats probably...queen of attracting males...probably not. Lol.

Moonpelt chuckled lightly, well she was a nice change from the usual looks he got from his clan mates. "It's not that simple and if you don't want to havi kits it's completely okay as well." He purred enveloping her with his latge body. "You know, I can get used to this." The tom chuckled and licked her cheeck affectionaly.
