((This is following what happened in this thread. Make sure to at least read the dialogue here if you are not going to read anything else, as there will be very important announcements in them!
Tagging: Stormsy, Midnight so that she knows, Echo because Goldenstar may need a Medicine Cat.))
Goldenstar's face burned. Her fur felt like it was going to fall off. Her muzzle ached. but she had just died, so these were all normal pains, correct? Cuts and gashes lined the she-cat's muzzle, ridding it with lines of blood. As would be expected, she had just ran head first into a tree. Her fur was red with blood, some crusty and clinging to her pelt, some still wet and flowing, dripping off of her previously golden fur and leaving a trail of scarlet behind her. She had not had time to clean it, to see if the wounds that had ultimately killed her were fully healed or whether they were still open and bleeding. but these were unlikely to kill her again, or at least that is what Goldenstar thought. What she was really concerned about was her left eye. Everything was cloudy in that eye, everything was faded. Maybe she had just gotten too much blood in her eye from the gash above it. She hoped that she had just gotten too much blood in it. Who ever heard of a partially blind leader? Goldenstar refused to be the first. None of this would have happened if she had not met that rouge. The want for revenge can do a lot to a cat, and this feline was obviously driven by it. Goldenstar did not care what drove her. Goldenstar just wanted her to never come back to take the lives of her warriors, apprentices, herself. That stupid rouge had tricked her, made a fool of her, killed her. And Goldenstar would not let her clan go on without knowing of the dangers that lied in the woods.
She raced into the camp, going as fast as her seemingly weakened legs would take her. Without accepting greetings by whoever was guarding the camp, she made her way to her usual announcement spot. "StormClan! gather like dark clouds in the sky!" She called loudly, forcing herself to keep her voice steady. She felt nervousness rise in her throat and claw at her belly like it never had before. but, then again, she had never met a murdering loner before, she had never had to make an announcement of these proportioned. She had never appeared to her clan like this, the beaten and broken she-cat she had become. She hoped that, with a washing, she could regain her former glory, and hoped that her clan would not remember her for what she stood as at this moment.
"StormClan, I have bad news. A rouge has been spotted on our territory, named Sachiko. She is a true threat, please avoid confrontation with her at all costs unless you have a patrol to fight with you, as she is dangerous and out for blood. She is a large, grey and white she-cat," Goldenstar forced herself to not resort to pointless insults as she felt anger rising up inside of her at the name of the she-cat. "In addition, loners and rouges are to be chased out immediately unless you believe that they are too powerful for you to handle alone. If you believe that they are too strong, return to camp immediately and gather some cats to make sure that the cat left on their own. If you believe that you can successfully chase out the intruder, do so with as little stalling as possible." I learned that the hard way. "No more will be accepted into StormClan." Not a kittypet, not a foreign warrior, not a blood thirsty rouge.
"Also, many she-cats have been carrying kits from fathers outside of our borders. This is to stop immediately. Any she-cat, or any tom who is caught in a forbidden relationship will immediately be punished, and are at a high risk of being banished from StormClan." She called out, her eyes wandering to the nursery. There was probably at least one queen in there with kits from another clan, and it was about time for Goldenstar to cut down on this almost constant issue.
Her eyes wandered through the camp, searching for a certain tom. Her eyes soon found him. Oh how he reminded her of Frogleap, but he was gone and there was nothing Goldenstar could do about it. "As many of you have realized, Frogleap, our deputy, as disappeared. I have given him time to make his return, but he has not. It is time that I accept him as missing, and choose a new deputy." Goldenstar paused, taking a deep breath before continuing. "The new deputy is a strong and dependable cat in our clan, one that I can put my absolute trust in. He has trained apprentices meticulously and with care, and he has shown impressive strength on the battle field. Thunder and lightening above, I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. By the thunder and lightening above, I name Smokeshade our new deputy.
"That is all." Goldenstar assumed some of the cats would be in shock. The queens carrying kits from toms outside of StormClan, the cats who had previously been loners, kittypets. Maybe some others as well, loyal and strong cats who believed that they had been decent candidates. but Goldenstar had wanted Smokeshade as soon as she realized that Frogleap was not returning. Smokeshade reminded her of her former deputy.
Goldenstar stepped out of the spot light and sat down. She was tired, almost enough to fall asleep where she stood. She assumed that Nightpoppy would wish to see her, but if not Goldenstar did not mind. She could probably deal with most of her wounds on her own.
