Moon-high.
Calm
Peaceful
Darkness
Shadows
Hazel eyes glowed in the soft moonlight that bathed the two-leg place as the owner's eyes slithered between shadows. It was the kind of night that was rich with excitement, and caused tension to crackle along the air setting the fur of the lithe tabby on edge. Leaping up onto the fence that barricaded her journey she balanced easily on the tiny ledge humming slight tune to herself as she did. Loud music blasted through a majority of the upwalker's dens and Olive paused in her travels to watch them blunder around the depths. Some ran outside with pots and pan's while other's sprinted around with fire-sticks that sparkled from their hands. Narrowing her eyes she watched fascinated as they danced, and twirled in happiness. Weird animals, she concluded to herself and pushed forwards; she had things to do and places to be. Fourth of July was whispered on the winds and she flicked her ear curiously. Perhaps it was a night of celebration for the humans? Whatever this day was, they were certainly acting like idiots. The sour scent of yeast was wafting towards her nose while she passed a particularly run down den with even louder music blaring from the open windows. People screamed and laughed on the inside, while a lone female was throwing her stomach contents onto the asphalt nearby.
Crinkling her nose in disgust the light, mixed with darker browns stripped tabby jumped from her spot on the fence and padded towards the female. The she-human cooed towards her while weakly holding her hand towards her. Olive stood a little ways away from the upwalker, her eyes twinkling darkly in the shadows. The upwalker spewed once more and tried again with calling Olive towards her. Flicking her tail the tabby continued on-wards, the smell of the female becoming unbearable. Ick, she thought as she pushed her paws into a slight jog. She needed to find a particular cat tonight, and rumors had suggested that he would be most active at night. She had slightly hoped that the large crowds, and loud noises wouldn't deter him from being out and about. She doubted it though, he sounded like he tried to show a tough-tom cat mask.
The cat's around here knew who she was, and they respected her. She was someone who could command attention without the need to constantly annihilate her enemies. It wasn't that she couldn't, she just didn't feel the need to constantly push her image down people's throat's. Everyone knew her small frame, and kit-like appearance fooled strangers, but they knew her true demeanor. She could be ruthless and harsh. Finding the spot that a majority of her friends had scented the tom she settled herself onto her haunches and pulled her plumed white streaked tail across her four white paws. Her white chest stood out against the dark shadows, making it look like a tiny beacon. Fire erupted into the sky in bright colours of blue and green causing the cat to glance up slightly. More quickly followed and the faint roar of upwalker's cheering drifted down the alley way.
What an interesting night.
