The silver pelted tom trotted in to the camp a decent hunt. He was able to catch a couple unsuspecting voles by the old twoleg place. He tossed them into the pile and his mouth drooled with anticipation for dinner time. The sun was beginning to set and he found himself bored after his hunt. While he is a friendly tom, his friend count is rather low. He concentrated a lot throughout training, mostly to keep his mind of the incident with his parents. He never really branched out during his apprenticeship and now he's gone a month past the warrior ceremony and he is still without friends. Maybe tonight will be the night he makes an acquaintance.

He trotted towards the nursery den without thinking and plopped himself down for a quick grooming.

Sandkit's glowing golden eyes stared out of the nursery, searching for the perfect un-expecting warrior to attack. His short, sandy fur with patches of white stood out like a sore thumb in the shaded den. His golden eyes stared as a warrior plopped down right outside of the nursery, grooming his fur. Crouching down, he carefully slipped forward, his paws slowly edging closer, his eyes set carefully onto the tom.

His small paws smashing against the ground, he leaped at the big warrior with a force, hoping to knock the tom over. Letting out a battle-cry right before he smashed into the tom, giggling like a maniac.

His mind was racing with starting topics to talk to someone with. The weather, hunting, clan gossip. He didn't know where to start! He was already giddy with excitement at the thought of new friendships. His concentration was thrown off as he heard a small shriek coming from behind him. He briefly turned his head before the small ball threw itself into his side. While the impact was very minimal, he knew it was important to go along with kits imagination.

"Oh no!" he cried out as he tipped over and fell on the ground. While he wasn't expecting his first encounter to be with a kit, he thought now would be a good a time as any. "What strong warrior would do this? he questioned outloud, waiting for the kit to speak up.

"The strongest of all, Sandstar!" Sandkit cried happily, his mind racing with thoughts for his next attack. He hopped onto the big warrior's belly,"I have defeated yet another warrior!" Straightening his posture and puffing his chest proudly, the kit smiled happily before plopping down on the warrior.

Using his long tail, he waved his tail teasingly in front of the warrior's face, his muscular body flexing."I shall win all the battles, and defeat all the greatest warriors!" He cried, a goofy smile on his face.

If he wasn't acting defeated he would definitely be laughing. The kit flopped onto his stomach and he let out forced puff of air. A small tail swished over his whiskers and nose. He softly chuckled as the kits dreams spilled out of his tiny mouth. He smiled, "dream big..." he thought to himself. He laid on the ground, the small kit resting on top of him. "Well you won this battle, that's for sure! he exaggerated. A sensation stared building up in his nose. Whether it started with the dirt and dust around him or the kits tail, he knew he was going to blow soon.

He was never the best at fighting, but he was fantastic at hunting. "A great warrior such as yourself would need to know how to hunt! How well of a hunter are you?" he inquired curiously. He couldn't give tips on fighting, but hunting is another level he could get on. Shortly after those words spilling out of his mouth he took a giant breathe and exhaled sharply as a sneeze escaped his nose. One of the bigger sneezes he's experienced.

"Uh, I am not that good of a hunter. but I can destroy any warrior in battle that dares face me!" The sandy tom cried, his golden eyes glowing as he leaped off the massive warrior. Sandkit yawned slightly, since it was nearing his nap time, though he quickly dismissed it since he wanted to play with this warrior. One more warm Greenleaf breeze blew the camp, being the one of many winds of Greenleaf to say goodbye to them, since Leaf-Fall was finally settled upon them. With his small paws, he batted the warrior on the nose, his eyes staring into the warrior's,"Can you teach me about hunting?" He mewed, his voice squeaky from his young age.

He noticed the small tom yawing. He remember nap times when he was a kit. He smiled and nodded as the kit had asked about hunting tips. "You’re in for a real treat!" he boasted, puffing out his chest. "Hunting just so happens to be my specialty," he leaned down and lowered his voice; as if his pride wounded, "that’s why you were able to defeat me so quickly" . He lightly patted the tip of his paw on the toms nose to return the favor.

"Now, the first thing you should know about hunting it, using all your senses…" , he started off with his lesson. He wiggled his ears, "you have to listen to your surroundings" . He then wiggled his nose, "use your nose to sniff you’re your prey" . His eyes went into a strange cross pattern, "keep your eyes open at all times, be aware of your surroundings" he looked over his shoulders to demonstrate. He started circling the kit, making sure his paws made virtually no noise when touching the ground, "being gentle to the touch when stalking your prey" he lowered his bod, his steps still making no sound. "Last! You have your mouth. One would think it would be for eating, but, you can get a better sense of smell by parting open your mouth!" he demonstrated by opening up his mouth ever so slightly. He was able to catch wind of the several other cats in the camp. While he knew the kit must know about the mount opening; as it was a basic cat thing to do, he felt it should be included when introducing the senses.

He stopped circling the kit and smiled, "any questions?" . He didn’t think it’s be a good idea to go into a full blown lesson. That might be better left off for the kits future mentor; however, he should at least know the basics of hunting.

Sandkit stared at Pebbblespot with undying curiousity, intrigued by the hunting skills. A broad smile on his face, he copied the warrior's movements when he finished, his prey the big tom before him. Preparing, he leaped at the warrior, his small form barreling into the cat.

Dustkit peered out of the nursery. He saw the usual sight. As he was scanning for cats he saw two. One a kit and one a warrior. He watched as they jumped around. "What are they doing," he thought. He kept watching as they jumped on each other then started hunting. Dustkit was majorly confused. He decided to go over and talk to them. "Hello, I'm Dustkit, could I um... play too," he asked thinking they were playing. It looked like they were in Dustkit's eyes. He decided to not wait for an answer and he jumped on and laughed with the other kit.

He watched as the kit copied his moves. He prepared himself for the impact. As the kit pounced him, he fell into the ground allowing Sandkit to win. He laughed out loud as the two wrestled around for a moment. They were interrupted by another small clan cat. He stopped rolling around and smiled at the one named Duskkit. Before he could answer the invitation the other kit leaped into the fun.

The interaction with these kits made him realize his future. Well, not his whole future. Just the part that would involve kits and a loving queen. He hoped he could pass his knowledge on one day. Until then he could roll around with other kits until he was ready.

Sandkit giggled as another tom tumbled into to play, his golden eyes glowing as he quickly rolled onto his back, leaping up in hopes of shaking the tom off."Why hello Dustkit! I'm Sandkit! And that is...ummm..." HE quickly forgot the warrior's name, as he had been too busy attacking the warrior to ask. Giggling softly, he leaped back at Dustkit, a gleeful smile on his face.

"Nice meeting you!" he meowed loudly. He giggled and rolled around some more. He was so happy to be with new friends. He was very happy, in fact more than happy. He laughed and rolled some more.
