Yarrowpaw had just had a long day of putting up with his stupid, perfect brother. Russetpaw got everything, but he was such a jerk! Sometimes he wanted to kill that stupid brother of his! Yarrowpaw layed down in his nest and closed his eyes. Soon he woke up, but he wasn't in his nest. he was in a dark and cold forest. She she-cat with a cold smile looked at him. 'I have an offer for you,' she said. Yarrowpaw leaned in. Hey, he was curious. "What kind of offer?" he asked suspiciously.

Snakeheart circled the apprentice still smiling "aren't you sick of that lousy brother of your Russetpaw getting all the attention? always picking on you? What if I told you I could make you stronger?" she stops in front of him her smile almost kind "I can show you things he'd never know how to do for moons, I can help you finally beat Russetpaw"

Yarrowpaw sat down and thought, but watching the she-cat circle around him in the corner of his eye. "Tempting..." he muttered. Russetpaw was always making fun of his small size. Maybe he could finally teach his brother a lesson. "What's your name?" he asked. He wanted to know if he could trust this strange she-cat.

"my name is Snakeheart I have many moons of experience both from my training and training apprentices, I know things that could help you finally be better then your brother, things that your real mentor would be to soft to teach you, things that could finally bring you out of your brothers shadow and into the light that you deserve" her tail strokes along his shoulder softly

Yarrowpaw closed his eyes, imagining. Beating the heck out of Russetpaw, showing everyone what he really is, then everyone would like him, not his brother. He imagined all the warriors begging the leader for him, Yarrowpaw to be their apprentice, all the she-cats mooning over him (though he wouldn't choose any of them), never having to change moss for nests or get ticks out of elder's fur, and etc. Yarrowpaw opened his eyes. "Show me," he meowed

Snakeheart smiled "very well" her claws slid out "you're brother is larger then you, but you can be faster, he can try to attack but if you crouch and slide under and over you can get around him and attack him at the same time but you have to be fast or he could drop and crush you under his weight, try it on me"

"Uh...what?" Yarrowpaw said, trying to process the stuff his new DF mentor had so quickly said. "Oh, I got it," he crouched down, trying to look brave. No joke, he will physically challenge anyone mean anyday, but that didn't mean he was brave. It just meant he was angry.

"Power will only come to those who seek it, I know you will succeed if you follow my every word" she purred almost friendly like before she leapt at him, intent on tearing him apart with her claws if he didn't move fast enough to avoid her outstretched claw that glinted with blood

Yarrowpaw's eyes widened as he saw how sincerely Snakeheart was coming at him. He rolled under her, and grabbed her tail, hard enough to hurt but not hard enough to draw blood. Then, with his tail still in his jaws, he ran under her legs, trying to tip her over.

She smirked leaping over her own tail and pulling on it until it was free from his jaws "very good, I'm sure you noticed by now that these training sessions will be much more...free...then the ones that your pathetic mentor can give you, but you'll learn more as well"

"You mean we can use claws?" The ginger apprentice asked excitedly, remembering how sometimes he wanted to claw his own mentor, Foxblaze thought he was the best, but he wasn't. And Yarrowpaw was excited to learn new things. Soon everyone would like him! "Wait...what is this place?" He asked, looking around him.

She nodded at his questions about using claw "you'll never be a powerful warrior if you're afraid to get blood on your claw" she flashes her blood stained claws into the light "this is known as the Dark Forest, perhaps you heard of it?" she tilts her head a little

Yarrowpaw thinks for a moment. "No, I don't think I've heard of it. The name does ring a bell, though." He glanced at his new mentor's blood stained claws. For a minuete he looked very afraid. but then he shook his head and his eyes hardened. "I'm powerful. And I'm not afraid," and he leaped at her, but stopping at the last moment and scratching her cheek. "I'm not afraid!" he yelled to the dark forest. Yarrowpaw panted hard. 'No going back now' he thought.

she smirks with deadly ice, leaping on her apprentice her eyes slightly crazed her claws on his throat "we'll see just how long you convictions lasts apprentice, I will not be soft on you like you pathetic mentor, I will push you and slice you open over and over again, but here is truly a place for your inner beast to be free, here you can do anything you want" she leaps off her apprentice "now stop being mouse hearted and attack me like a real warrior"
