Friendship is for the weak (Feral, but open)

(@feralxsoul I was thinking that maybe Feral could be part of a plot when her app gets accepted)

Magpie walked around, searching for a place to hide the rabbit she had caught. It had been a good hunt, but the piece of prey was to big for her to eat in one go. There was a time in which she would always hunt prey that big for her two brothers, but since then her little brother had died and the one left had betrayed her.

She looked at the rabbit once more, the brown pelt still a little wet with blood. Magpie didn't regretted the way she lived: Too much trust, too much hope on anyone and you ended up dead and eaten like that rabbit.

Still, Magpie knew that she had a weakness. She was an excellent hunter, but an horrible fighter. The former saved her from dying of hunger, but the latter could get her murdered. She needed an ally who would fight in her place, some cat strong enough to not get himself killed but weak enough so he/she needed her on some way. Maybe a bad hunter? She didn't knew.

With those thoughts in her mind, the black and white she-cat continued her search for a hideout.

Feral padded along the forest floor.
she felt very cold and weak from hunger.
she felt sorta light headed so came to a stop.
her fur was ruffled up and looked quite poofy due the the cold weather.
she knew she needed food fast or she would suffer starvation.
she then smelt a great smell.
" Rabbit!" She said under her breath.
she raced quickly but not so quietly to the scent.
she stopped seeing the other she cat. she was suprised but not scared in any way.
she grew a wicked smile across her face " well,  greetings little kitty.. Are ya lost?" 
She sat neatly placing her tail apon her paws.

Magpie stared at the tortoiseshell she-cat and frowned. "I'm not a kitty, so don't calling me like that"-She hissed. Was this she-cat thinking of stealing her prey?

An idea came to her mind. She looked strong, but hungry. This could be her chance.

"The one who looks lost is you"-She mewed with a smirk-"I'll share my rabbit with you if you are willing to listen to my offer. What's your name?"

Feral smiled and purred  " whatever you say kitty."
she gave her sternum I lick and look at her with piercing eyes.
" You can't be lost if you don't have a place in this world. "
She flicked her ear as she listened " Tell me. Ill decide if it's worth starving or not."
though she knew she would kill for a rabbit at the moment.

Magpie glared at her, but didn't say anything. She would let her say whatever she wanted.

She shivered for a brief moment at the sight of those eyes, but didn't let her see it. Instead, she continued. "It seems that you had some problems at hunting, right?"-She purred-"I could hunt for you if you fight for me. We could be allies."

Feral listened knowing that this cat was serious
'She needs me just as much as I need her.' She thought ' but I still have an advantage.. I could kill her easily..'
she would most definitely use that against her one day.
she thought about her offer flicking her tail. 
" yes." She meowed.

Magpie suspected her thoughts, and so she decided to keep an eye on her. She smiled and pointed to the rabbit.

"Eat as much as you want. My name is Magpie"-She mewed. She sat on the cold ground, her tail curled. "I have a patch of territory not faraway from here. It used to belong to a tom named Jackal, but he's gone so I decided to keep it."

Feral listened and kept quiet a moment.
she nodded and slowly trotted to the rabbit.
she took a bite, and looked at magpie.
" magpie'' she meowed.
then she came to doubt what she meant to say.
"never mind"
She took another bite. it was almost gone before she knew it.

Magpie cocked her head slightly. Nevermind...What? She decided not to ask.

"You are invited"-She mewed, not knowing if the she-cat had a place to stay. Honestly, she couldn't care less, but if they were going to be allies, better to start getting more or less well.

Another moment of silence followed, until..."What's you name? I don't remember you saying it..."

Feral looked at her and said " I'm feral "
she got up and said " I'm feeling quite tired " 
she stetched and leaped on to a log.
" Do you have some type of shelter?" 
It was very cold or at least feral thought so.
Her pelt hasn't gotten very thick just yet leaving her awfully cold.

"Well,yes..."-Magpie answered. She still didn't trusted Feral, but her new ally wouldn't be of any use if she died from the cold. Telling her where she sleeped was a risk she would had to take.

"In my territory, there's a couple of big rocks with space in between, like a small cave. There I hide from the cold, and I guess you could use it too."

feral nodded. She knew she wasn't trusted but eh who cares? 
" sounds great." She purred smiling and letting her ears perk a bit.
' I must make sure magpie dosnt forget I'm a stranger. And well... A killer.
A kitty like that shouldn't let her guard down. She seems like she's aware of the situation now, but she must not forget that you can really trust nobody.'
She waited for magpie to lead the way.
