Ooc: SO this is after Brightblossom & after her talk with Reddusk

Cold wind buffeted the slender feline form as she maneuvered her way back into the main camp of Talonclan. A weak autumn sun filtered it's ray's through the puffy dark storm clouds that were currently drifting across the sky. Looking over her shoulder she sniffed sadly, knowing that it was only a matter of time before those clouds could join into one massive one and turn the dry weather into icy rain. The short-furred warrior twitched her two-toned whiskers, knowing that she would probably be freezing in a heartbeat. Padding across the flat rocky surface she twitched her ears in greetings to a group of warriors, feeling a twinge of jealousy course through as she eyed their long, luscious pelts. She would kill to have long fur in colder weather, and with Leafbare coming up.... ick. White paws were numb and she couldn't help but feel the pull of her warm nest calling her longingly. Looking over at the entrance to the warrior den, she wrestled with herself.
Should she skirt her duties and go get warm?
A cough sounded nearby and she whipped her head around, her green-blue orbs settling on a senior warrior. The frown on his face told her he knew what she was thinking, and he greatly disapproved of it. Shooting him a nasty glare she raised her tail, as if to tell him that he was wrong judge. He had nice long locks, he didn't have short fur that hardly did anything against the cold. Raindapple's tail drooped when the warrior walked away and she sighed, white clouds forming from her lips. He was right though... she had tried to get out of her duties.. but this time it was justified! She really was cold. However, with what she had been doing lately she really wasn't in the position to push her luck.
Raindapple had a secret.
A pretty big one at that.
For about two moons now that marbled feline had made long treks through the mountain to the other Clans, often sneaking onto their territories for bouts at a time. Sometimes she was caught, more often then not she skated scott free and wandered their territories on her own. There were two time's that she had had close encounters, each time being in Whisperclan. Her thoughts showed the wiry image of Wolfshadow, the snarly deputy of the clan, and she wiggled her toes at the memory. It had been fun, exciting irritating the tom, and had left her in a good mood for days afterwards. Not because she liked him in any lovey-dovey sort of way, but because she loved to push the limits. It brought adrenaline rushing through her veins, and she relished for those moments when her heart was beating so fast that it felt like her ribs might crack. The other one she had met was Reddusk. An incredibly large, muscular red marbled tom who had caught her attention at a Gathering. The two had happened to cross each other's paths during her night crawl, but it had ended with them chatting. She had rather enjoyed that conversation, and had grown to respect plus like the tom. He was different.
Patrol duty.
The thought hit her and she groaned inwardly. She would not only have to go back out into the freezing cold, but large droplets of rain had begun to descend from the sky. Two landed on her nose and she crinkled in disgust. She wanted someone to share her misery and she knew just the cat. Trotting towards the apprentice den she meowed loudly, and annoyingly into the entrance, however the only answer she got back was from a prickly she-cat who cursed from inside. That definitely wasn't him. Orbs scanning the clearing she spotted the familiar pelt and rushed towards her partner in crime. Skidding to a stop, she batted at his shoulder rather mischievously and playful like. "Patrol duty, and if I'm miserable, you're going to be miserable with me. So c'mon slow-poke, we gotta get going." She ordered briskly, although her body language was entirely teasing. She felt relaxed in the young tom's presence and if it wasn't for Mudpaw, she'd probably have been driven crazy by now living in this mountains. The nursery door lingered ominously over his back, and she couldn't help but remember the conversation with Brightblossom a few days earlier, causing her to look away quickly. She definitely didn't want to dwell on those feelings right now.
