The slick furred brown cat padded through the place of No Stars, which was more of his home by now. Those vibrant green eyes that were his glowed with excitement and evil glee, as he had sensed some disturbance in the forest, as if a wimsy apprentice was entering.

Which was what he had been waiting for.

Toadgorse had been searching for just the right apprentice for quite the long time, but no cat held the same hate as him. Until he stumbled upon Flamepaw. Yes...He will suffice perfectly. His thoughts had always been like such, the second he had stumbled upon the tom. He waited for the perfect moment to enter the tom's dreams, his sleek, dark brown fur groomed in preparation.

So I'll find what lies beneath...

He had lied of course, Flamepaw thought as he rested in his nest. He had spoke to a kit of his clan today, an innocent kit with fur as silver as the stars he had started to hate. He had said a naive comment, something he knew it wasn't true, and he had smiled at him.

His smiles always were a lie on itself, but this time it had almost been genuine. He took pity on him. He sometimes felt pity for MidnightClan as a whole.

The kit had said that a friend of his would be leader one day, and she had promised him he would be her deputy. Kit's games, he knew.

He also knew that, would that become a reality, he would had to make the silver tom disappear so he could be deputy in his place. The unknown she-cat would had to follow him next, but that was just how things had to be.

Because Flamepaw was meant to be big. A she-cat had told him that while he was still a kit, and he believed it. It was for those words that he kept smiling, those words were the reason he would wake up every morning. He was meant to be big, and he felt pity and hate for anything that could possibly stop him from reaching that goal.

He opened his eyes, feeling a presence. "Hello..."-He purred, smiling as always.

The brown tom lightly smiled as a fimilar apprentice came into view,"Hello, Flamepaw." His voice was cold, dark, and the dark scenery did not help with making anyone feel welcome. The dark forest and dead grass that pricked your paws, and the sky that never showed any stars. And he loved every bit of it. With a light wink of his bright green eyes flashed another one of his legendary dark smile,"I have brought you here for training." In seconds he had smashed his haunches into the ground and leaped at the apprentice."Are you ready? Or will you leave like all of those Starclan followers." His voice hissed through the air as he was now standing right before the apprentice, his eyes shining with evil glee. A joker's game this was.
