The small, slender she-cat padded elegantly through the territory where she lived, her light green eyes set upon the destination ahead. The Pond of Truce. Her beautifully groomed white and blue-grey fur, the medium length protecting her frail body from the cold winds of Leaf-Bare. Ergh. She hated Leaf-Bare with a passion.  Her small paws lightly brushed against the light dusting of snow against the ground, soft specks of white touching her fur as snowflecks rained down upon her ever so lightly.

Soon, her small paws arrived at the Pond that was her calm time that she had spent at so many times. When her father died, when she had an argument with a cat, for any occasion really. Reaching the edge, Goosefrost stared around her in interest, hoping maybe this time, someone would grace them with their presence. Maybe even a she-cat.

Loudpaw was full of boundless energy. She had been awaiting her warrior ceremony for such a long time now, and it baffled her that even though her leader was gone, she still wasn't a warrior! Surely it was her turn to receive her name like her brother? It frustrated her that he was a warrior first, even though they had grown up together. Nowadays, they were so distant. It bothered her. When did they drift apart?

All she had left was him, considering that her sister had stayed behind. How was she? Was Cherrypaw fine, being the medicine cat apprentice and all? Of course, she had regretted leaving, but Silverstar was too much of a threat to handle. She was a kit back then, how would she know right from wrong?

Her energy seemed to explode even more as she ran toward a certain direction, unsure as to where she was even going. Thus, she left fate decide what she would do this fine night, in which the starts seemed to glitter just for her. Her paws thudded against the ground, cracking every twig and misplacing every leaf. It was leafbare, but leaves where sill here and there.

It was leafbare, yet she wasn't cold. In fact, she was warm with her long fluffy coat. She was healthy from the start, and her large size meant more fur for everyone. Leafbare was one of her favorite times of the year because she could cuddle with other she-cats... and toms.... with the excuse of 'we're warming each other up.' No one could tell her it was wrong, especially since she herself was confused. She had always preferred she-cats over toms, but recently, she had been favoring them a different way. Surely this wasn't possible? She-cats liked toms and toms liked she-cats. Loudpaw couldn't change that.

So why did she want to cuddle with a she-cat right now?

Thoughts whirled through her, but one thought stayed-she wanted to just cuddle up with another cat...a she-cat, to be exact. At that same second, a cold breeze ruffled her medium length fur, sending her into a small chill, right before she heard the crunching of twigs and leaves. Wha... Was all she could think before a scent hit her. Different clan. Not her clan. Spinning around, her golden green eyes searched for what could ever appear before her, yet she craved the company, no matter the clan."Hello?" She called out into the air with her soft, gentle voice that many thought of alluring, though she thought none of the sort.

"Hello?

Loudpaw heard a voice, soft and gentle. It was like a mother's melody, calming an energetic kit's nerves. A sense of calmness rushed over her, and she immediately slowed down to a trot.

Now, she was terrified. As she drew closer, the scent of the cat was clearly of trees, of another clan. She assumed it was from Leafclan, her home clan. She could recognize that scent anywhere, but she hadn't recognized the cat's scent. Judging from the the call, it was a she-cat, and Loudpaw's pelt pricked softly as her eyes twinkled with hope.

Hope for what though?

She liked toms! She had to like toms! There was no other option. This feeling she had, it was impossible for it to even exist. Then, she came to a conclusion that both her heart and mind could agree too.

The cat had to be her sister, Cherrypaw.

Why else would Loudpaw's heart skip a beat or her head spin with a million if thoughts? It had to be her sister, and it must have been fate that they just happened to be here on the same day. If must have been destiny, Starclan's will! Maybe they wanted them to reunite and for Loudpaw to go back to Leafclan. Of course, that thought made her a little sad. Was she supposed to give up her brother for her sister? Was she supposed to choose between the only two cats that she cared for even though one of them had been absent from her kithood and apprenticehood?

She took a deep breath, calming herself down before racing up again. She burst through the trees, a smile on her face and a shine in her eyes as she called out, "Cherry-!"

Wait a second, she halted. Her eyes fell upon the quaint little she-cat. This wasn't Cherrypaw. This wasn't the adorable face she had hoped to see. Not to say this she-cat wasn't cute. Loudpaw cringed slightly as she admitted it, but this cat was adorable. The fur blowing in the wind, and her golden green eyes searching for... something. This obviously not her sister, Cherrypaw.

By now, she had a created a sudden awkward moment, calling out her sister's prefix all of the sudden. She had jumped to conclusions, and now this cat would probably think she was crazy.

"-blossoms are pretty aren't they? Can't wait for Newleaf. You?" she finished quickly, covering up for herself. Hopefully, it was suspicious and she wouldn't asked questions. Loudpaw hated questions.

but she sure loved to answer them.

The she-cat turned towards a shining she-cat, calling out a name she had not heard. With a blink of her golden green eyes, she surveyed the new cats features quickly, and then flinched at something that echoed through her mind. She was absolutely adorable. Get. That. Out. Of. My. Mind. No. She was a loyal Leafclanner who only liked toms. Right? Yet, she felt quite attracted to the she-cat before her, and as her golden green gaze stared at hers, she felt as if she was melting into a puddle.

"-blossoms are pretty aren't they? Can't wait for Newleaf. You?"


With a small, adorable smile, Goosefrost nodded,"Yes, they are so beautiful..." Her gentle, soft-spoken voice broke through the air, her gaze set into the other cat's almost shyly."I-I'm G-Goosefrost." A simple, shy sentence as she glanced away, taking particular interest in a dead leaf.

"Yes, they are so beautiful..."

Loudpaw sighed in relief, happy that she didn't think of anything. She didn't know why, but this cat's opinion of her was really starting to get under her pelt. She wanted to impress her and seem as though she knew what she was doing.

Because she didn't know what she was doing. At all. This was the first time she came to the Pond of Truce, and the first time she came, she just had to meet a cat hat made her head spin and her heart beat of her chest for no reason. What was this sorcery? Was this cat trying to do something to her?

Suddenly, she replied with her name.

"I-I'm G-Goosefrost."

Loudpaw felt her face redden a bit. It was such a pretty name, in which Loudpaw regretted admitting. Her paws took her forward even though her mind was screaming for her to turn around and head back to her nest. Her clan. Everything she knew. Everything that she knew wouldn't change.

Loudpaw tilted her head slightly, confused at this point. Should she respond with her name? Or come up with a conversation starter. Then again, you can't make a conversation without a name.

"Loudpaw," she suddenly blurted out, shocking herself, "B-but I'm almost a warrior! It's just... Pebblestar..." She had trailed off, unsure as to whether or not she was able to tell others. She knew Briarclaw had said something, but with this she-cat here, looking innocent and cute, she couldn't think straight.

What was this feeling?

Thee white and blue-grey she-cat listened to the other she-cat's words, before smiling kindly. Pushing herself up, she padded to Loudpaw and sat next to her, their furs just barely touching,"Don't warrrior about it, I had to wait forever to become a warrior, way behind my brother actually. I guess I have always been stuck in my brother's shadow since I'm suck with being all unhealthy." Sad words touched the air as Goosefrost stared up at the sky. Wait...Why am I telling this to another clan cat? The question almost frightened her.

What would her father think?
