OOC: Guys, this is the thread where Ashlight will tell Tigerkit the truth and at the end he will run away. Others are welcome to join!

The brown tabby kit padded across the clearing. He had only moments before woken up with tears in his eyes from the nightmare that had been haunting him this past moon. In the nightmare, well really it was a distant memory, he saw a cat that looked just like him attack a ginger she-cat. Then the cat snatched up Tigerkit's sisters and ran away. He couldn't remember the rest.
He stopped just outside the apprentices den. Excitement began to well up inside him. I'm almost an apprentice! In one moon he would be sleeping in that den and training and hunting and fighting... Tigerkit just couldn't wait. He bounced over to the warriors den and peered inside. He couldn't see any cats inside but decided against exploring the den. I'd much rather practice my battle skills! He lept up and swiped at an invisible enemy. Then he stuck to the ground and crept stealthily towards his enemy and lunged at them just like the cat from his dream. He stopped.stopped. Why did he keep having it? It was like a fly in green-leaf that just wouldn't go away. Tigerkit decided to ask someone about the mysterious dream and looked around for a warrior who would be able to tell him. Finally he would get down to the bottom of this!

Ashlight watched Tigerkit fight an invisible opponent from a distance, tail swishing contently. She purred, remembering when she was just like that. but then he stopped, an almost panicking look on his face. The brown tabby then looked around, and as his eyes locked onto Ashlight's, he padded over. "Good morning, Tigerkit!" She purred. "Did you come over to practice fighting with me?" Fighting. It was her favorite thing to do, even if some cats judged her for it.

No he mewed. I want to know about my mother. How did she die? And why does my father never come to visit me? And what about my siblings? The little cat wanted answers and he wanted lots of them. She'd better answer him, otherwise he would.....he would.... Well, he would not let her forget. Then Tigerkit decided to try another strategy. He had seen the younger kits do this. Please...? He looked up at her with big eyes. This is so working!

Ashlight couldn't help but feel surprised as all of the young kit's questions bombarded her. She blinked, trying to think of what to say. She had been just an apprentice when all this had happened, but she was a nosy apprentice, so she had figured it all out on her own. Then, when Tigerkit attempted to convince her to tell him with cuteness, she rolled her eyes. "Listen... Are you sure that you want to know the answers?" She conformed.

Was he really sure? Of course he was. He had a right to know this. Yes. I do want to know he confirmed. This is it. I am finally going to find out the truth. No more nightmares and no more cats inquiring. I will finally know the truth. He couldn't wait. He imagined it being something like this:

His father was the bravest cat ever and saved his mother from a fox, no a badger! but she told him to take two of her kits and leave Tigerkit because he was the bravest then he left with his sisters and took them far away to another world and became the bravest leader ever and then.... Yeah. Something like that.

He sat down facing the warrior and waited, ears pricked.

Ashlight hesitated. She knew that the young kit was making some kind of fantasy that was the opposite of the truth. "Well..." She began. "Your mother was a Sunsetclanner, and your father was a Midnightclanner. Your mother loved your father, but he didn't love her. They met one night, and your father demanded to have you and your sisters. Your mother refused, and your father slashed her stomach. She begged to keep one, and your father agreed, slashing her one last time. He took your sisters, and left you. She died by the time a patrol found you..." She looked at Tigerkit's stunned face. "I'm so sorry..."

What?! You mean I'm halfclan? My father was in Midnightclan and he killed my mother.... That wasn't right! His father was supposed to be a hero. Not some thieving Midnightclanner! And he stole Tigerkits sisters. How could this of happened? And why did his mother have to die? If she was still here now...... She would of told him,not some stupid warrior who wasn't even there! He flopped down onto the ground, his many thoughts and feelings wooshing around in his head. He was confused. Oh, I wish the truth was a lie.

A black and white she-cat listened closely as Ashlight told the young brown tabby kit about his past. Yes, she too knew about this, but dared never to tell the kit. In her opinion, the kit was far too young to learn about his past. She padded past Ashlight, glancing at her with a questioning look as to say 'You're really going to tell him about all of this just because he thinks he's old enough to know?'. but, Splashfrost never spoke a word. She approached a small bush nearby, situating herself into a position where if she needed to, she could jump into the conversation as well. Her green eyes studied the small kit, then she peered upwards, locking eyes with Ashlight.

Ashlight sighed. She knew he was too young; it was her tendency to jump to things that made her regret things later, like this. She locked eyes with a she-cat a little ways away, and looked at her as if to say, 'I'm sorry...' She almost choked up, just watching the distraught kit, but held it back.

Tigerkit growled. It was all Ashlight's fault! She must of gotten the facts wrong! He spun round to face the camp exit. I'm going to find out if this is all true. He began to stalk away from the two warriors. I am going to ask one cat who'd definitely know. I am going to ask my father.

Ooc: mind if I join?

Cedarstep was just padding camp, two mice held in his jaws. Cedarstep spat them out onto the pile, a couple old skinny mice wouldn't feed the clan. He would need to get better at hunting before anyone noticed. He glanced up, an angry looking kit was heading towards the camp entrance, he looked at the two she-cats that were near by questionably, were they letting a kit go wandering alone in the forest?

Splashfrost jumped to her paws just as the kit was about to make his way through the camp entrance. "Hold it Tigerkit," she meowed, blocking his path. "Kits aren't allowed out of the camp." Even though Tigerkit hadn't spoke it, Splashfrost knew that the small kit was about to attempt to go out in a search for his father. She grabbed him by his scruff, bringing him closer to the middle of the clearing. 'At least he's still just a kit,' she thought. 'Otherwise, who knows what would happen?'

He snarled at the warrior. Who did she think she was? He had a right to find his father. And I've got a plan....
He let his fur lie flat and took a deep breath. I'm sorry Splashfrost. You're right. I should stay in the camp. He looked innocently up at her. In his mind a storm of fury washed around. I have to know the truth. He padded slowly over to the nursery. Then he lay down outside. When they stop looking I'll just slip out of the camp and run of to Midnightclan territory to find out what really happened!

The black and white she-cat didn't even wince when Tigerkit snarled at her. She knew the kit would get into trouble if he went to MidnightClan, and StarClan knew they didn't need any more trouble. When suddenly the kit had relaxed, his fur lying flat again, Splashfrost knew the small tom was up to something. She decided that it would be best if she just played along with his act, to convince him that she was oblivious to what he was going to do. Being the intelligent cat she was, Splashfrost quickly found ways of solving the many troubles of the clan. Surely she could prevent this kit from escaping out of the clan. Even in the depths of his eyes, when he had looked up at her innocently, she could see the faint gleam, as he was sure that he had convinced her. "Yes you should," Splashfrost mewed agreeingly, careful not to show any sign to Tigerkit that she knew his plan. Even the way he had padded slowly to the nursery was suspicious. 'That kit doesn't know what he's in for if he succeeds in going to MidnightClan.' Splashfrost knew that MidnightClan probably wouldn't welcome him as a guest, even if he was a kit, that is if he could actually travel all that way.

He glanced back up at Splashfrost. I don't think she's looking.... He slowly stood up and crept round to the entrance before darting out. Yes! I'm free! He began to walk out towards the forest. He knew vaguely which way Midnightclan was. He began to pad quickly out towards where he thought Midnightclan was.
