The Fire That Blazes The Petal (Ice)

Firepaw padded into camp shaking water from his fur he had been working his swimming, he was getting better but he still wanted to work on it more, so no one ever knew that he was part kittypet, he was Sunsetclan, it didn't matter what nasty names his mentor wanted to call him, he sighed and looked around for someone that might want to hang out with him Icestorm

[Icestorm]

Petalpaw continued to groom herself as the day went on. She had already gone for a hunting patrol, and was hoping to be able to relax a little. Maybe take a nap. Would that be okay though? There were plenty of other apprentices to work. Right? She sighed to herself knowing full well she wouldn't take the nap yet. Not without making sure it was okay.

The small she-cat looked up for a moment. Seeing his all too familiar fur she smiled.

[Falcon]

Firepaw looked over and saw Petalpaw, he grinned widely and padded over quickly "Hey Petalpaw, how are you doing? I just went swimming myself, real refreshing on days like today don't you think" he sat down grooming his fur until it lay smooth on his growing frame tasting a bit of the water he had trekked through on his fur

The sandy she cat smiled sweetly listening to the younger apprentice talk. Asking her a question, but moving on quickly to say something else. He was such an odd little thing. Well little wasn't the right word anymore. He was getting bigger. She knew soon he would bigger than her. Even if she was to be a warrior in a moon or two, she was small and had stopped growing.

Once Firepaw stopped to groom himself she spoke, "Hi Firepaw. I'm doing pretty good," she turned to look at him, "You went swimming without me?" She closed her mouth and looked away, she hated trying to be light hearted with others. She never knew when too much was too much. At least with Pinepaw, Firepaw and Heronpaw it was becoming easier for her.

"Well I was already out with my mentor so I thought I might as well get some practice in, do you want to go out and swim with me, I don't mind going out again if you want to go for a swim" he smiled kindly he enjoyed spending time with Petalpaw even if she didn't seem to like talking to him very much

The she-cat smiled at him nodding in understanding. He hadn't taken what she said lightly like she had hoped, she sighed inwardly. She would get it right one day. but swimming did sound nice at the moment. She stood up making her way to the entrance, "Swimming sounds great!" She twitched her long tail to Firepaw hinting at him to hurry up and follow. If there was one thing Petalpaw was confident in, it was swimming. At least now it was. In the beginning it had been scary, but she quickly got the hang of it, and has loved it ever since.

Firepaw jumped up at once "good lets go, I bet I can beat you" he teases lightly flicking her with his tail in return as he followed her out of the camp "where do you want to go swimming Petalpaw?" he asked eagerly, maybe she knew some good spots to swim that he hadn't found yet

Petalpaw smiled to the tom, "I bet not." She said hoping again it would come off right, playful. "Oh, let's go the island. The water is so nice there. Don't you think? Plus I know this one spot close to it." The sandy she-cat didn't wait for an answer, hoping he wouldn't mind a little of his own medicine. The spot was small and only a short distance from Sunset Island but somehow it got missed a lot by others. She loved to just go there and sit in the water for as long as she could before going to the island to hunt.

"That sounds like loads of fun" Firepaw said eagerly "I've never been to the island before, is it really big?" he was excited to explore a new place in the territory Whitehare didn't really like him very much so they didn't have a lot of 'bonding time' but he knew Petalpaw wouldn't hate him because he was half kittypet

[Icestorm]

Petalpaw smiled to the younger tom, "Oh the island? Hmm, I guess it is," she said with a nod. She wasn't really sure what would could it as big, but she was sure that was a good answer. After all the island had lots of prey and there was usually more than one or two others there hunting. "You can hunt there if you want. The prey is usually really good there." She smiled to him.

[Falcon]

Firepaw nodded eagerly "maybe after we swim a little" he wondered what sort of prey they would find there, probably fish mainly cause it was called an island after all "have you ever hunted their before? what sort of prey is there, I mean other then fish of course" he chuckled

Petalpaw looked forward trying to remember the last time she had hunted there. Fish was the main choice. She thought about the time she went to the island alone. To get away from others. "Well, once. There is a clearing in the middle, and if you wait off to the side a bird might come by, maybe even a mouse or two, but mainly fish." She turned to look at Firepaw with a smile, "Mainly the island is a get away. Somewhere quiet. You know?" She looked back infront of herself. Soon they would be close enough for Firepaw to see for himself.

Firepaw nods "yeah I can understand that, sometimes it's good to get away and take some time with your thoughts" he smiles a little "I like to lay down and think about the world and stuff, I wonder if my mother would've been able to survive out here.... I don't think so"
