I Could Be Doing Something... Nah. (Open)

The ginger tabby with red stripes eyed the TalonClan cavern through narrowed, slitted eyes. Littlerye nodded greetings to passing cats, and they turned their heads away. Smirking, he looked the other way as well.

Oh, sure. He could be doing something to help the Clan, but he'd rather see them work for themselves. He would hunt when someone told him to, and patrol the borders when needed. Nobody was telling him off, though, so he lay there, inthe shadows, relaxing.

"Keep up the good work," he drawled, rolling onto his side.

A massive orange tabby padded by the rather lazy warrior at that moment, and frowned at him. Honestly, couldn't he be doing something to help out? but instead he appeared to be lying flat on his back, watching the rest of the clan work with mild interest. "Shouldn't you be doing something?" Firehawk asked curtly, rather annoyed as he himself was carrying a large bundle of mice in his jaws. There could be a perfectly good explanation to why Littlerye was not working of course. but somehow, Firehawk doubted it.

"Why, d'you want me to?" asked Littlerye, flicking his striped tail. His gaze drifted lazily over to the other tomcat, flicking in a careless greeting. "You and the other TalonClanners seem to be managing fine without me. Do you want me to help you, or what? 'Cause I don't see anything I can do," he drawled. "Nobody seems to want me on patrol, so I'm just waiting..."

"Well I can see a few things you can do. Like, helping me carry the rest of my catch? Or maybe helping the apprentices out? Maybe it's just me, but I can see a lot of things you could be doing." The tabby said, rather annoyed once he had realised that the Talonclanner was simply being lazy. Dropping half of his kill down, he gave the warrior a slightly worried look, wondering if he was actually going to help him carry.

Littlerye clambered up with some difficulty. "Well, you seemed to be doing fine, once again." Picking up the mice, he jerked his head in an irritable sort of way, as if Firehawk was wasting his time and energy. "Let's go, then," he said through a mouthful of fur. And without waiting, he dropped it into the pile. Flicking his tail, he plopped down again. "You're welcome," he said simply, and turned away.

Firehawk snorted under his breath, dropping the rest of the kill down next to the small pile Littlerye had (grudgingly) made for him. "Thanks." He said, in all honesty, before watching the tom trot away. Honestly, some cats... He thought, before nodding his head in satisfaction as he viewed the rather tall mound. That's my good deed done for the day.
