Leafdapple's eyes lit up and she had to keep herself from getting just as excited as Badgerpaw was. "We can go out now if you'd like, but it would be to explore the territories and see the boundaries. Not exactly the most exciting." She warned him of this, but that was how the beginning of training usually went. Apprenticeship can be a bore sometimes, but the exciting parts of it made it all the more worth it. She hoped her honesty would at least make it better for him. Still, she was happy to be showing her new apprentice more of the territory- even if she had already shown him the territory near the camp. While he was still a kit, Leafdapple was the first cat to bring him outside of the cat. Both her and Badgerkit, now Badgerpaw, both enjoyed it immensely.

Badgerkit didn't understand how that wasn't exciting, To be honest, anything is more exciting than just sitting here. He was eager to get out of the camp he had explored dozen of times, and go somewhere new. Besides, all the other new apprentices are getting to or have already got to see the territories. I think we should go. He stood up and stretched his legs as a sign of: Lets leave now.

Leafdapple gave a nod, understanding that he was ready to go. She was pleased by his eagerness to begin his training, and she honestly had to keep her own excitement in check. The calico she-cat turned and darted off towards the entrance to camp, and a heartbeat later she had pushed herself through it and was standing in the forest. She waved her tail as a signal for him to follow. She glanced around momentarily, trying to think about where they should start first, and figured it'd be best to start from one end of the territory to the other. Though they were unlikely to see everything in one day, at least this way they would be able to fit in as much as possible. She raced off towards the border with Whisperclan, occasionally looking over her shoulder to make sure her new apprentice was keeping up.

Badgerpaw was keeping up fairly well with Leafdapple, only every now and then he would slightly fall behind. He was enjoying the new sights and smells of the forest. The air was cooler today, which was normal for a day in Leaf-fall. The leaves were decorated in pretty shades of red and orange and scattered all over the ground. Badgerpaw was finding it hard not to crunch on a leaf every 30 seconds. The cool, crisp air whipped through his fur,and he felt the hard, crunchy leaves beneath his paws.
but, his curiosity got the best of him as they slowed..We must be getting close. He thought.
Where are we going first, Leafdapple? Badgerpaw couldn't help but ask.

Soon the two cats began to slow, and the trees on this side of the territory began to grow fewer and farther in between. Here, the sun shined down on large patches of green grass. Leafdapple came to a halt at the bottom of a large hill. She waited until her apprentice was standing beside her before she finally spoke. "First, I'm going to show you the border with Whisperclan. You can see it from the top of this hill. Follow me." She waved her tail for him to follow as the calico she-cat slowly trudged up the large hill. As they reached the top, she looked down onto the border with Whisperclan. In front of them laid a large field that seemed to stretch on for ages. She turned back to Badgerpaw and asked, "Can you smell the border below us? Take a deep breath."

"Can you smell the border below us? Take a deep breath."
Badgerpaw did as he was told and took a deep breath. Immanently, Badgerpaw smelled a strange new smell that he didn't recognize: Whisperclan.
Whoa..  He commented, surprised how different another clan could smell. Badgerpaw always figured that all cats smelled the same, since they are all the same thing: a cat.
It was strange to smell another clan, even if it wasn't very strong, since they were stil on the Stormclan side of the border.
It smells so..., he searched for the right word, different.
but after a moment of taking in the smells, Badgerpaw already was curious again, and asked: What's next?

Leafdapple gave a small nod, "Every clan has their own scent. In time, you will learn to recognize each one." The calico she-cat turned and padded back down the hill slowly, waving her bushy tail-tip behind her in a warning that said, be careful on your way down. The hill was much steeper when you were going back down it, and she didn't want him to slip. As she reached the bottom of the hill, she turned and watched him to make sure he got down safely before continuing. The closest thing from here was probably the Boggy Land, but there's no way she would be bringing Badgerpaw there on his first day out. That meant the second closest area was the Charred Pine. but instead of answering his question, she just gave an amused smile and purred, "You'll see. With that, the she-cat darted off again, heading towards the trees once more.
