Rainleaf nearly flew out of the Warrior's den. He was giggling happily thinking about his new apprentice Applepaw. He sat down and watched the sun rise and let the warm rays of the sun warm his fur. He sighed happily and then stood up and carefully padded in to the Apprentice's den. He looked around the den hoping to spot applepaw. He saw him sleeping near the center of the den. He carefully padded towards him making sure not to step on any of the other apprentices. He finally got near him and whispered," Applepaw, it's time to start training, we are going to take a tour of the territory". He sat down and waited for Applepaw to wake up.

Applepaw yawned and looked at his mentor, his yellow eyes still stuffed with sleepiness, "What, already?"He stood and shook his thick pelt free of any moss that clung to him, "OK!"he said with new found enthusiasm "Let's go!"
The ginger apprentice padded with Rainleaf out of the den, his ears perked with excitement.

Rainleaf chuckled at his apprentice's enthusiasm. He looked at applepaw and said," We are going to go on a tour of the territory today and if we have time maybe we will do a little fighting training". He stood up and padded out of clearing and out in to the forest. He said," let's go to mossy pool first ". He started padded towards the Mossy Pool.

Applepaw smiled and nodded, following his mentor. His large paws moved quickly as he tried to keep up with his mentor's longer legs. What he lacked in length, he made up in bulk. Applepaw was certainly stocky! "So, Rainleaf, how long have you been a warrior? Do you have a mate, what about kits? Are you straight or not? Do you like anyone?" Applepaw pounded on with his endless questions.

Rainleaf rolled his eyes at his many questions. He looked down at Applepaw and said," Well, I've been a warrior for 10 moons, I don't have a mate but have 6 kits, I'm straight and my kits mother died, and I sort of like well.... I can't tell you". He thought about his new mate from a different clan but she was from a different clan. He sighed and looked back down at Applepaw and waited for his answer.

Applepaw frowned but asked no further questions. He was curious about his mentor, but he could squeeze some information out of the elders later. "Are we almost there?" He asked quietly. He flicked his torn ear, feeling embarrassed for his outburst in curiosity. but then, he loved talking. How could he get mad at something he always did anyways.

Rainleaf saw Applepaw frown and thought He must want to know more about my old mate. He stopped in front of the Mossy Pool and looked at Applepaw and said," Here is the mossy pool, it feels good when it is really warm, it is really nice to stand in". He looked at Appelapw to see if he had any questions.

ooc: I have a plot going on were Rainleaf has a mate from another clan. Applepaw will need to rat them out when he gets older

Applepaw sniffed the water, "Can I drink from it?" His early curiosity dissolving when he saw the pool. He dipped one paw in, the hot green-leaf sun pounding on his ginger back. It would feel nice, but we are training, not playing!He thought to himself firmly. He licked his white chest formally.

Rainleaf looked at applepaw and said," When it rains you can drink from it but when it hasn't rained it is not drinkable". He looked down at the pool and took a sip. He looked up at Rainleaf and said," how about we do a little fighting practice, hm"? He waited for Applepaw's answer.

"Yes! I was the best fighter in the nursery!"He squeaked, the stocky apprentice hopping excitedly. He took a deep breath and looked at Rainleaf, "What will we be focusing on today?". Only his twitching tail tip betrayed his calm face. He cocked his head to the side, waiting for his mentor's reply.

Rainleaf looked at Applepaw and sighed remembering how he was on his first day of training. He felt the wind ruffle his fur. He looked at Applepaw again and said," Today we are gonna work on going up on your hind legs and then striking your paws forward". He took a deep breath and said," this is how you do it". He crouch down and then stood up on his hid legs. he made sure he was well balanced and then he pushed his paws forward just like there was a cat in front of him. He got back on his four legs and then looked at applepaw. He said," now you try". He sat down and waited for Applepaw to go up.

Applepaw copied carefully, but as soon as we lifted his front paws off the ground, he fell on his back, "Fox dung!" He spat, sitting up right and shaking his thick fur. He tried once more, but, again, landed with a thump. "I have the balance of a badger!" He sighed.
