Harestep woke up to the sound of kits squealing. He sighed, having awoken from a nap, although dreamless. Hey, any sleep was good sleep in his eyes. Harestep stood up, shaking his fur to get the dust of it. 'Now that I think of it, I should've just slept in the Warrior's den.' He thought regretfully. Standing up, he decided hunting would get a little bit of the sleep out of his bones. Walking over to a group of cats, he put on the most cheerful face he could as not to come off as the jerk he is. "Hey, any of you want to go hunting with me?" He said nonchalantly. After saying this he scanned the small group of cats, eyeing each of them. After a minute, he continued. "Well? Anyone?"

An average-sized brown tabby tom with white paws and a white underbelly lounged outside of the Warriors' den, golden eyes half-closed. Both of his apprentices were busy with chores (thank Starclan) so Mossbrook had had no further plans for the day. He'd just begun to doze off when he heard a nearby cat ask if anyone wanted to go hunting.

Curious, the striped-and-flecked warrior opened his eyes and lifted his head to see who was speaking. His gaze landed on a younger tom, Harestep, who had approached another group of Sunsetclan cats who'd decided to lay about camp for awhile. None of those cats seemed interested in joining the smaller tom, for whatever reason, which had Mossbrook frowning slightly, interest piqued.

With a yawn, he pushed himself to his paws and padded over to the group. "I'll go hunting with you," he offered, giving the green-eyed tom a small, kind smile.

Harestep felt the heat rise to his cheeks as each of the cats either shook their heads or continued lounging around with no response. He was about to walk back to the place he was sleeping at and mope around, but another cat padded over to him, smiling kindly and accepting his offer.

Harestep's body visually relaxed from the previous tense state it was in. "Thanks, you're Moss..." He trailed off thinking of the name. "Mossbrook, right?" He suddenly remembered, as he realized it was one of the cats that had gotten more than one apprentice at on of the previous ceremonies. "So, let's go." He says.

Mossbrook's smile widened as the other tom correctly guessed his name. "Yes, and you're Harestep, right?" the brown tabby tom asked before heading towards Sunsetclan's camp entrance. "So where would you like to hunt? Or did you want to fish?" The striped-and-flecked warrior glanced curiously at Harestep, pausing to let him answer. Mossbrook was a better fisher than a land-prey hunter, but he was passably good at that as well. Either option sounded good to him.

Harestep returned with a small smile, perhaps this tom wasn't so bad, eh? After being asked where he'd like to hunt, Harestep let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. "I was thinking land-prey, since we've already had quite a few cats go out and fish today." he said blankly, motioning to the pile of freshkill. Thank StarClan, I don't have to get wet. He thought bitterly, though his thoughts came back to the tom before him pretty quickly. "There's a great place for prey east of The Suncavern, if you don't mind hunting there with me." He said, thinking of the place he had found earlier.

Ooc: Ok XD. Sorry for the wait; the past few days were more hectic than I expected.

Mossbrook nodded his brown head, running through his memory of Sunsetclan's territory in his head. Hunting around the Suncavern would be fun, and Harestep did make an excellent point: Most of the prey brought back today had indeed been fish. If only for the sake of variety, the pair could bring back some land-prey.

"I don't mind at all," the brown-and-white tabby warrior said, smiling. "I wouldn't have offered if I did. Shall we go then?" He exited the camp and started towards the area near the Suncavern.

Harestep was about to respond, however the tom had just walked out of camp. Since Mossbrook wasn't watching, Harestep rolled his eyes, though he re-thought his actions. The tom was being polite to him, so he had that going for him. Perhaps Harestep could even enjoy this trip, although it seemed unlikely. Though Mossbrook was in front of him, he quickly walked to surpass him. It wasn't a long distance, and they were almost there. Soon enough, the toms reached their destination. "Here it is." he said, though he added in a lower tone. "Sorry, I forgot we had to keep quiet to hunt." Stupid, stupid! No one forgets that.
