Spiderpaw padded towards the apprentice den, her spirits some what low. She had a hard time today. It wasn't her mentor at all. It was herself, she felt like going out of camp was hard. It some what scary for her. She knew that Talonclan was a cliff and she thought that the drops that since she couldn't see she would have to go out with another cat. She just sighed and turned her nose towards the fresh kill pile she just then turned away not taking anything. She just then padded towards the apprentice den and laid down resting her head on her paws. Her thoughts just swirling. She thought that maybe she should talk to Redcloud but then she was about to call out to him through the bond but then she stopped because well she didn't want to bother him about her problems all the time so she just laid there just thinking about life.

Sparkpaw came padding into camp, his yellow tabby and white fur drenched with rain. A limp mouse dangling from his jaws, as he entered the shelter of the cave and shook the water from his fur. Dropping his catch down on top of the pile, the young tom glances around with his single pollen yellow eye. He'd spent the morning hunting, however it wasn't a product of his mentor's teaching. No Wolftalon had been rather illusive lately leaving Sparkpaw to fend for himself. It was disappointing for the tom, but he was determined not to fall behind.

Out of all the cats in the stoney cave camp which made up Talonclan Sparkpaw's attention was drawn to a brown and white tabby. He'd seen the she-cat around before and knew she'd recently gotten her apprentice name. And currently she seemed rather down in the dumps. Lifting a large and less soggy squirrel from the fresh kill pile, he pads over to the she-cat. Laying the squirrel down before her he smiles, having no idea about her blindness. " It's Spiderpaw... right?" He asks hoping he'd recalled that correctly. " I'm Sparkpaw." he adds dipping his head and resting his haunches on the cold stone ground. " I saw you over here and just thought you might like to share a squirrel." he adds, his single eye watching her as he pushes the squirrel forward with a paw.

Spiderpaw just then thought I have been thinking about my life too much instead of living it. She just groaned she wasn't going to be one of those cats that felt sorry for themselves. but yet thats exactly what she was doing. She just growled at herself slightly. She didn't want to be the cat that was always asked. 'Whats wrong?' or the one everyone thought was annoying. Spiderpaw just then sat up, she was not going to feel sorry for herself. I'm going to live my life. Thats when she heard someone approach her. She didn't recognize him. but that might have been because he had a semi wet squirrel and his fur was wet. She knew that it was a male. but she had no idea who it actually was.

She just looked down when she heard the squirrel being set in between them. Now that the cat was closer she just lifted her head up, her green eyes looking slightly to the left of the cats face. She just sniffed a bit. Her nose taking in his scent. She just didn't have time to figure out who it was because the cat was asking her a question. She just nodded to his first question confirming that she was Spiderpaw. Then he introduced himself. Ahhh right Sparkpaw. I knew that.... well maybe." She thought to herself. Then she just then heard him say something about a squirrel. She just then heard the sound of the squirrel getting pushed towards her. She just let it hit one of her white paws. The blind she-cat just then didn't look down at the squirrel. She just then smiled slightly, This tom seems nice. She just then said, "Oh that would be lovely. Thank you." Then she just then smelled the squirrel, her jaw watering slightly from the smell. She didn't realize how hungry she was until she was close. Taking a bite she just then sat up and pushed the squirrel back towards the tom slightly.

Sparkpaw watched as the younger she-cat sat up just before he arrived, and then how her face seemed to stare off at nothing instead of the squirrel. Tilting his head he is momentarily puzzled but blinking his singular eye on closer inspection he could see clouding in the she-cat's gaze. She was blind? He thought, watching her closely as she spoke. " No problem." He says in return watching as she hungrily tore into the squirrel. He just sits and waits until she pushes it back in his general direction. Leaning down he takes a bite of his own, before swallowing and cocking his head sideways. " I apologize if I come off as rude but may I ask are you blind?" He inquires, licking his lips and pushing the squirrel back toward the brown and white tabby. Hoping his question wouldn't anger or annoy the she-cat but he wanted to know and didn't want to risk embarrassment by waving his paw in or face or something.

Spiderpaw just swallowed her bite of squirrel quite easily and she just listened to the tom in front of her. She just then she heard him speak and then she smiled slightly. Thats when she heard the crunching of a squirrel she she just listened as the other tom ate. She really didn't know what to say to him. She just then blinked her eyes and stayed sitting up. Her axienty growing slightly because she had no idea what to say to him. Maybe she should talk about training a bit. Yeah that was a good start. She just then flicked ears and they opened her mouth to ask him about his day. but thats when he spoke in stead. Spiderpaw just closed her mouth and then shook her head with surprise. She just then tilted her head. "Oh your not rude." Then she just smiled and said in a cheerful voice, "I am blind. There was no accident or anything like that. I was well. Just born this way." Then she just shrugged and asked the tom. "How was you day today?" She didn't want to talk much about her blindness. Because well it was irrelevant. She also didn't want say something like 'I'm Sorry.' or anything along those lines. Because there was nothing to be sorry about. She was herself and she believe that even if she wasn't blind she would still be the same cat. So she just waited to hear about the other apprentice's day.

Sparkpaw is pleased when his words are met by a smile from the she-cat, glad he hadn't offend her he listens quietly to her reply. His single pollen yellow eye blinking at her as he took in her words, a little surprised. Born blind? The idea was rather scary in his opinion. but Spiderpaw seemed unfazed and shrugged it off, as if it was as normal as walking. Before tom however could comment on her statement Spiderpaw changed the subject. He could understand why it might be uncomfortable to talk about and just goes with the change in topic. " Oh it was alright despite the rain." He says, licking at his white neck fur a bit before flickering his tail some. " How about yours?" He inquires, taking another bite of squirrel and savoring it before swallowing. Meanwhile outside Talonclan's cave camp the rain pounded on the rock face, making it seemed like they were inside a waterfall.

Spiderpaw just let out a breath that she hadn't realized that she had been holding when Sparkpaw went along with her hint to move away from that subject. She just then flicked her ears and nodded slightly. It was true the rain did cause a problem today, she Morningsky had her do some work for the elders in stead of training. It was fine because Spiderpaw didn't want to out in the rain anyways. but she nodded and flicked her ears, she listened to the rain pound on the rock. It made it a bit noisier in camp but Spiderpaw was quick to turn it off. She just then shrugged and said, "I was glad that I didn't have to go out in the rain as much today. I was doing some cleaning duties for the elders before leafbare hits." Then she heard the rain pound the rocks a bit harder and she turned her head. She just tilted her head slightly and said, "Its raining pretty hard out there now. I wouldn't want to take one paw step out of camp." She just then flicked her head back toward Sparkpaw.

Sparkpaw listened quietly to Spiderpaw speak of her apprentice duties for the day and the rain. His head nodding some, his pollen yellow eye watching her despite her sightless gaze. " As much as I dislike water I can't stand being cooped up in camp for longer than nessicary." He comments his tail flickering to and fro. Then the rain started to pick up and he laughs softly. " Yeah even I don't want to be out there now." He admits turning to look at the dark grey gloom outside the camp cave. He turns back to Spiderpaw a few seconds later. " So did you finish with the elders or would you like some help?" He offers taking a last bite of their nearly finished squirrel. He pushes the remainder of the creature to Spiderpaw as he awaits the she-cat's reply.
