Otterpotter with Mistpaw Lionhearted with Spiderfrost

Amberpaw couldn't stand sitting in camp anymore. She needed out of this confining camp. She had been good up to this point. Not getting in trouble with her mentor, who happened to be the leader Briarstar as well. She just then stood up out of her nest. Shaking the moss from her pelt she just glanced around the apprentice den she wanted someone to head out with. She looked and saw Flamepaw and then Wolfpaw. She didn't feel like hanging around her normal crowd today. Or for this mission anyways. It was pretty late the apprentice knew that Briarstar would not be happy with her if she left camp right now without a warrior. but Amberpaw felt like now was better than ever to sneak out of camp. She already had an exit plan. She had been watching closely around camp to get out. She just then felt her amber gaze land on a sleeping apprentice. It was Mistpaw. Amberpaw just felt a smile start to peel at her muzzle. She knew about Mistpaw, the other apprentice was more of a follower. Taking orders was like second nature to Mistpaw. Amberpaw just then poked Mistpaw's pelt with a white paw. She just hissed in the other cat's ear. 

"Wake up and follow me. Don't ask any questions." Then the light tabby and white she-cat waited until the other apprentice gave her the look or said something that they understood what was happening. Briarstar is going to kill me if she finds out about this. Amberpaw then smiled bigger. 

Perfect.

[Otterpotter]

She was once again in the bright red forest that filled her imagination.Then the small apprentice felt a sharp jab in the ribs which quickly woke her up. Mistpaw's tail began twitching as she was given an order to follow. As her sleepy gaze faded she recognized Amberpaw leaving the den. "B-but...." she quickly stopped her speech as she remembered part of the order was to not ask questions. The apprentice's bobtail continued twitching as her eyes flipped to the sight of the moon. 'Oh no no no, Amberpaw wants to sneak out. Briarstar will be so mad...' she though as she followed the light tabby.

[Lionhearted]

Spiderfrost gulped nervously as he peered around his surroundings, looking for any watchers. Oh no oh no... he kicked more dirt over Frostflight, who lay still in the ground. Spiderfrost could still see what had happened a few moments ago in his head.

"Can you at least tell me WHY you keep ignoring me?" he had demanded, his paws thudding as he desperately tried to catch up to his older brother.

"Really? I'll tell you why," his brother mouthed, whirling around to face them. Spiderfrost skidded to a stop in the forest. At least this was away from prying eyes. Yes, his brother was mute, but after all these moons, Spiderfrost was still the only one who could understand him. "Because you're embarrassing, all right? Do you really have to shout out everything you say? And you always get in fights! Just calm down, mouse-brain! No matter what, you still don't learn! Don't you see the issue? Would anyone want to be your littermate?"

Spiderfrost had stood there momentarily, dumbstruck. He had never felt so hurt before, and it slowly bubbled into anger. It always did. He had worked so hard to earn a good reputation, and still his brother refused to take it. He still saw Spiderfrost as a kit. Was he really that stubborn? "Oh yeah?" he sneered. "I'm too embarrassing to be around, huh? Well, part of the reason's you, you fox-heart!" he suddenly lashed out, his energy building. His brother cowered as Spiderfrost rained angry blows upon him, fuming, not seeing the other tom's pleas to stop. His brother's mouth was opening and closing like a fish on land, begging silently for this to end. "So this is what it's going to end like?" he roared. "So be it! Fight back, you coward! Aren't you EMBARRASSED of me? Finish me off! Kill me!" he screeched, and swiped as hard as he could. Suddenly, his brother dropped to the ground, lying still.

Spiderfrost's heart nearly dropped to his stomach. "N-no..." he gasped. Was his brother...? "Wake up!" he began yelling, pawing at his brother with his claws. Blood was all over the place, and his brother's pelt no longer looked like a cat's; it was covered in gashes, as if it was run over by a Twoleg monster. Spiderfrost's breathing increased, and panic almost overwhelmed him. He could hide his secret, but TalonClan would surely find out sooner or later...

He ought to run away. Spiderfrost's mind turned at the thought. No. I've worked so hard to earn respect. I'm not going until I have to. he dragged his brother's body along, digging a hole. Frostflight's body lay beside him, and he pressed his nose into the long fur for the last time. Then, he nudged the corpse gently into the hastily-dug hole, and began to cover it up, his heart pounding. No one come, no one come... he prayed. Please, it was an accident!

Amberpaw was moving out of the den in an instant the other she-cat woke up. She knew that Mistpaw would come. Amberpaw heard the other cat get up quietly and pad after her. She just then padded into the clearing. Looking around the camp she then just padded silently towards the camp entrance. She stopped and crouched down, listening to the warriors on duty. They would sneak out when the one by the entrance left. Amberpaw light amber eyes just waited. She then heard the cat move and thats when she darted forward padding out of camp quickly and down the side of the mountain. The older apprentice was used to going down this cliff with ease. She then waited a good until she was a good distance away from camp before speaking.

"Well that was fun!" It had been a rush for Amberpaw to sneak out of camp. She knew that Briarstar would be very mad. but the apprentice wasn't afraid of her mentor all that much. Though she knew that Mistpaw might be. She looked back at the she-cat with a huge smiled on her face. She just then laughed slightly and took off ahead into the territory. She just said once again, "This is the life. Now what I should do next is sneak on to another clan's territory." but then Amberpaw thought about it for a moment. The others clans were quite far away from Talonclan it would take her all night just to get there let alone come back in the morning. She just sighed. The light golden brown and white tabby was a bit sad but she knew that one day she would do that. Then she just stopped tasting the air. Freezing on the spot Amberpaw's fur rose slightly. She smelt someone out here. She just quietly said to Mistpaw, "Do you smell that?"

The fluffy she-cat suqeaked as she darted down the cliffs after her bossy companion. Mistpaw didn't say a word as Amberpaw began talking. but when thevtabby asked her a question the small cat began trying to figure out the scent. "A-Amberpaw..." She began but got quiet. The apprentice's muscles tensed up as she continued inhalinv the smell. "That smells a-lot like a dead cat..." She mummbled before sinking down into a frightened crouch. Her eyes only begged Amberpawvto let her return to camp so they could tell the guards...or Briarstar.

Amberpaw just smelt the Talonclan cat smell. She just then turned and looked at the other apprentice. She heard the stutter in her voice. Amberpaw could tell that the other apprentice was quite frightened. Amberpaw just then sniffed the air again. It smelt again it was not only another cat but she smelt at as soon as the other apprentice said it. She just narrowed her eyes and started padding forward. Amberpaw had only smelt a dead cat once. Thats is when Pebblestar had died but even then it was a long time ago. She was a kit and who knows if its the same thing now. but Amberpaw wasn't the one to run away from this. She had to know what was actually going on. She just flicked her tail and padded forward again silently. The she-cat knew if they just went running back to camp no on would believe them they had to get the whole story. Briarstar would be mad either way but if they came back with valuable information that might lessen punishment right away. Amberpaw just flicked her tail and said in a hush voice, "Come on we need to see whats actually going on."

She didn't care if Mistpaw was going to protest, because the young she-cat was going to figure this out. She padded forward the scent was getting stronger. Amberpaw then crouched down sneaking forward, she then saw with her light amber eyes. They went wide with what she was seeing. It was a warrior she knew who it was. Spiderfrost Her forced her jaw shut. She knew that if she said anything that the warrior would defiantly hear them. She then looked at the body that was getting covered up she knew it was another cat. Amberpaw just didn't move her eyes locked on what was going on. She couldn't even get her paws to move to get them away from this. Her minded screamed Get out of there! If he killed that cat he could kill you! but her paws were stuck in place.

Spiderfrost sighed, kicking the last bits of dirt over Frostflight's body. Well, that's that. He was so focused on his nerves and his memories that he didn't notice anyone else until he looked up.

He froze. The apprentice was standing a distance away, and no doubt had seen exactly what happened with the burial. She had a wide-eyed look on her face, and she seemed horror-struck. The expression slowly mirrored upon Spiderfrost's own face.

Suddenly, he sprang towards her. "You didn't see anything!" he cried, almost desperately. "Nothing, all right? Don't you dare mention this to anyone!"

Mistpaw leaped into a tree that was just next to where Amberpaw was. She stuck her mouth between her paws as Spiderfrost yelled at Amberpaw. The apprentice winced as her claws scratched the barch giving her away. "A-Amberpaw... now what?" she whispered hoping that the warrior didn't hear the question. The she-cat stared between the shallow grave and Spiderfrost, then her vision went to Amberpaw. 'We are so screwed.... Spiderfrost is going to kill us! or Briarstar if she finds out we left camp.' the apprentice thought as she watched the warrior.

Amberpaw then watched as the warrior turned. She was still a bit frozen in place but thats when the warrior started moving towards her she was able to react. She rolled out of the way as the warrior sprung at her. She then was a bit slow getting to her paws. Thats when she heard the other apprentice's voice. She could tell that the younger apprentice was scared. And for a fact Amberpaw was too but she knew that she needed to get Mistpaw out of here. She had some battle training but she didn't think she could fight Spiderfrost. but she might be able to keep herself from getting to seriously hurt before making an escape. Thank you Briarstar for teaching me some battle moves. Then Amberpaw more focused on the other apprentice as she said, "If you can run, go. Get back to camp, and wait for me there. If I don't come shortly after that tell a warrior." She didn't want Mistpaw to tell Briarstar yet, or make to much of an alarm. She just then didn't know what Spiderfrost was doing.

Spiderfrost had let the anger get to him again. Only this time, he didn't bother to stop it. Why should I? This was supposed to be a secret! And now those pesky apprentices have found out! Ugh, this is really, really bad. "Don't you dare run!" he yowled at the other apprentice, his eyes blazing. No, he could not let these two she-cats tattle on him! Briarstar would surely kick him out!

"It's your fault!" he screeched at Amberpaw, his claws unsheathing. He let them sink into the soft ground, but his face was kit into a scowl, his teeth bared. "If you tell, then I will kill you too!" What was left of his nervousness was replaced with fury. The uncontrollable monster broke out of his soul, and erupted; Spiderfrost pulled his claws out of the dirt and sprang at Amberpaw, opening his jaws. He was a murderer now. What did it matter if he fought like a rouge and killed another cat? He had to save his own tail. He had worked so hard to gain the respect of his other warriors, and it would be a shame to throw it all away because of this. "You will keep quiet about this, or else you will be joining Frostflight!" he thundered, running at her.

Ooc: this is getting interesting also wonderful time for Mistpaw to not follow an order

The she-cat stood up on the trees and watched the tom stannd over Amberpaw. She could just stand there and watch! The light gray apprentice unsheathed her claws and and gave Amberpaw a very nervous look before pouncing.Mistpaw aimed her fore paws at the tom hoping to male Spiderfrost at least stumble, hopefully that would give amberpaw the chance to slip away and either help her fight the warrior or tell her to dart off back to camp.

Amberpaw then whipped her gaze around and it landed on the warrior. She just then looked back at Mistpaw. "Get out of here now!" Then thats when she heard the warrior say, Its all your fault. She just then flattened her ears and watched the warrior her eyes still seemed frightened but she managed to say. "No its your! That warrior is dead because of you!" but she knew as soon as that came out of her mouth she would regret it. Maybe it would distract the warrior long enough for Mistpaw to get away. Now all of her attention was on Spiderfrost the warrior was furious. Thats when the next words that came from his mouth made Amberpaw's heart skip a beat. She was going to have to fight for her life. She knew it and it was terrifying. Her body and mind screamed run. She needed to get out of her. She just then watched his claws unsheathed she just did the same. It was a new feeling for her because she had never fought with claws. Her amber eyes, watched knowing she didn't have time to respond to any of his other sayings. She just watched as he started running towards her. She then saw the flash of another cat from above she watched as the other apprentice flying from the sky. Amberpaw just yowled and took that chance to run towards the other cat. Hoping that he would be startled by all the action going on. She just swiped out with a paw at his face, secretly hoping that it would hit him.
