Poppyshine took in a ragged breath sitting in the Medicine den. The small queen had caught greencough a while ago, but she showed no signs of getting better. Her black sleek pelt no longer held the shine she was so proud of. ~Cough~. Of course that wasn't her biggest worry. No Starclan no. Her worry was for her kit, and for Icestorm's kits.
"Poppyshine, hey there. How's my favorite niece." A large tabby asked quietly. Poppyshine have the tabby a playful harsh look, well as playful as she could. He wasn't supposed to be there, he could get sick too. but Poppyshine was still thankful to Starclan that he was.
"I'm your only ~cough~cough~ niece Thornfur." The large tabby shrugged off the minor detail. His heart sinking listening to her cough. They both knew the young she-cat wasn't going to make it. She should have gotten better by now. "Thornfur, do me a favor. ~cough~ I need you to tell Runningkit ~cough~cough~ everything. And watch over him and Stormkit." The two toms needed to be watched. They needed to be guided really. They were both so angry, and they hadn't even lived their lives yet. The she-cat could barely take it.
The large tabby nodded his head. How could he say no to her, his green eyes watching her with love and sorrow.
