This is the first thread for this experiment.
Thistlekit could hardly sleep at all. He had struggled to drift into slumber with all his might, he had twisted and turned until he was as comfy as possible, he had even forced himself under another kitten to increase his warmth level, but it was to no avail. The cold of leafbare was creeping into the nursery relentlessly, and eventually, Thistlekit gave up on sleeping. He stood up and padded over to his mother in an attempt to figure out what to do, but her belly looked so soft, and his littermates were silent and still, an occurrence Thistlekit had never seen before in his short lifetime. He breathed a giggle before curling up in the crook of his moms front leg.
He was not sure whether he had slept at all. It certainly did not feel like it. He felt groggy from his whiskers, which almost seemed to droop, to his tail tip, which he let drag pitifully behind him as he slowly padded away from his still fast asleep mother. He peaked outside of the nursery and was frozen in shock and awe. His eyes grew wide and his mouth parted. "Everything..." He mewed, almost at a whisper. "is...WHITE!" The tom's grogginess quickly left him as he bounded out into the shiny, wet white stuff that littered the ground, tree branches, and den roofs. "What even is this stuff?!" He yelled, almost as if he were expecting an answer. He ran forward again, but this time he slipped, plummeted to the ground, and somersaulted onto his back. "It didn't even hurt!" He screamed in amazement. He needed to tell everyone! "Hey, come outside!" He yowled, turning his head back to the nursery in the hope that it would allow the other kits to hear him better. "You guys gotta see this!"
