Something cold, white, and fluffy covered Birchkits soft pelt. Whimpering, she tried to shake it off, but more just fell on her. Birchkit then looked up, trying to locate the origin of this stuff. What she saw was an odd sight indeed. A million tiny flakes of white where falling from above. Birchkit pawed at one, but it vanished. She tried chasing them, but they didn't seem to react. Heck, Birchkit even tried eating one! It just tasted like water. How strange! What even was this stuff, and what did it want with her?

Lightningkit stood at the edge of the nursery. Being born weak in her lungs, she had trouble breathing. Normally though, she was an adventurous kit but today some convincing was needed to venture out of the nursery since she was told to stay inside. "Birchkit! What're you doing?" She questioned. She watched as Birchkit played about in the mysterious substance. As fun as it looked, lightningkit was very skeptical on joining her sibling. There was no way she could keep up. What if something bad happened?

Birchkit asked Lightingkit why she wasn't playing. Whatever this stuff was, it sure was fun. She loved the chilly fluffiness of it, the soft whiteness of it. Pretty much everything about this substance was awesome. Even the cold didn't bother her as her white pelt was super thick. Birchkit dove headfirst into the whiteness. What was underneath? She was going to find out. Next thing she knew, Birchkit was trapped. The white substance had collapsed around her, sealing off her air supply. Birchkit squirmed. It was so heavy! " Lightningkit help me!!!" She hollered from underneath. but would the she-kit hear her?

Lightningkit squeaked as she saw her sister dive under. It was definitely a risk but she dove into the white stuff in order to save her. In an instant, she froze and started shivering. "Birchkit, I'm coming!" she yelled. She buried her paw and searched for the other she-cat's. As soon as she found it, she pulled the white cat to safety. "I can't play because I'll start coughing again," she wheezed from the panicking and running. After a couple of coughs and sputters, lightningkit returned to normal. "Can I play with you Birchkit?"

Birchkit decided that she wanted to go in. No way was she going to have that experience again. Plus, Lightningkit was wheezing, and wheezing was never good. They could always play inside. Inside was safe and warm. Birchkit motioned for her litter-mate to follow her. "I hope mom doesn't find out about our misadventure" She said. Once inside, Birchkit rolled around in some moss to make sure she was totally dry. She told Lightningkit to do the same. If any of the queens found out that her sister had been outside, they would both be in trouble. Reassured that she was totally dry, Birchkit pounced on Lightningkit.

Snowkit was nestled in his nest sleeping while his siblings played. He knew they were playing for his sleep was not exactly a deep one, just enough to avoid playing with his siblings. He succeeded however when he woke he found them entering the nursery not already in the nursery. " You two could have gotten hurt!" Snowkit yelled at them as his white fluffy fur bristled." and no I dont care that Iceheart doesnt know that you two went outside with out permission, but I do care that you did go outside" Snowkit watched as Birchkit went to go attack lighteningkit. Snowkit's fur bristled even more. " dangerous playing." Snowkit said not liking the way Birchkit was attacking lightening kit without notice. Snowkit cared for his siblings, it was just a bit annoying how they didnt protect themselves as well. " You know what how about we pretend to stalk prey instead." Snowkit said puffing out his chest at his idea of handling it. for it gave them another option of playing, with out fighting, and what made snowkit more proud was the fact that it didnt look like he was saying no entirely, more or less just giving them something else to do.

"Okay, we'll do it your way Snowkit" Birchkit grumbled. Trust her goody-two shoes brother to ruin all the fun. She would have liked to keep on play fighting, but Birchkit knew Snowkit just loved to tell on other cats, and she was in enough trouble already. If only she hadn't put those prickles in the queens nests a few days ago...

Birchkit chased a dead, brown leaf pretending it was a mouse, but it flew away before she even had a chance to pounce. Why does Snowkit call this fun? She thought to herself. Hunting was boring. Even the grown warriors knew that. Then again, Snowkit was boring. He almost never wanted to play. Her and lightningkit where so much cooler.

A silver kit was peacefully sleeping in one of the corners of the nursery, dreaming of the day he would finally get to become a warrior. but before the dream could even end, Graykit was awoken by lowd yowling in the den. He peeked his green eyes open, spotting Snowkit yell at his two litttermates.. With a slightly annoyed sigh, he stood up and gave his legs a stretch before padding overto join them. "What's going on around here?" he asked the other kits, wondering what had gotten the other tom so mad.

"Snowkits being annoying and won't let us play-fight" Birchkit explained. "Instead he's making us pretend to hunt!" Hopefully
this new kit will actually be interesting. She thought. Her own littermates where nice enough, but they were quite difficult to play with. Snowkit was a goody two shoes who turned up his nose at all things fun, and lightningkit, although adventurous, always seemed to be in poor health.

Snowkit nodded with pride. He was glad that his sibling listened to him for once, after all Snowkit just wanted to protect his littermates from danger, they should listen for their own good.Snowkit watched as his sister half heartedly toyed with the leaf and watch as it flew off. Snowkit sighed. His sibling could hardly play hunt, imagine what she would do to herself as she play fought! It would be disastrous. Snowkit was about to mention it when another kit comes in. "What's going on around here?" the other kit says. Snowkit looked at her questioningly, trying to decide if the kit would agree that safety was the best measure... probably not snowkit thought sadly."Snowkits being annoying and won't let us play-fight" Birchkit explained in her own biased tone before Snowkit had a chance to speak up. "Instead he's making us pretend to hunt!" "Thats not true!" Snowkit said bristling a bit.
" I am not being annoying, I am trying to protect you, besides it looks like you can hardly play hunt lead alone play fight! Imagine how hurt you could get!" Snowkit said, suddenly feeling a bit bad for freaking out, Snowkit smoothed out his fur and pretended that he didnt just lose his cool. Snowkit licked his paw pretending he wasn't embarrassed while he waited for the third party kit to give her opinion.
