Leaffur couldn't believe it, Sunstar had given him an apprentice. The shock was still on his face when he went up to touch noses with Sweetpaw. but his amber eyes were also filled with happiness, he would train this apprentice the best he could. 

Stepping back, he led Sweetpaw to a spot in the crowd so Sunstar could continue the ceremony. With the ceremony completed, the large tabby turned to his apprentice "You can go make yourself a nest in the apprentice den since that is where you will be sleeping now. After that's done I will take you out and show you the territory." He said with a smile before turning and heading to the fresh kill pile for a quick meal.

Sweetpaw moved her from Thornfur's paws to her mentor after the ceremony. She had been so excited during the ceremony, but face to face with her mentor she felt herself become more inverted. To be fair she usually stuck with her father Thornfur, mother Birdheart, and brothers, Thrushheart, Antpounce, Hickorypaw, Troutpaw, and Owlpaw. The she-cat touched noses with Leaffur.

Thornfur watched as his only daughter left to make her nest. Before approaching the warrior in charge of Sweetpaw, "Leaffur I have to warn you, Sweetpaw isn't her namesake. She is tough." The large warrior glared at Leaffur for a moment, "She has a sharp tongue. So don't mock her." The large tabby didn't know the tom very well, but he imagined he would talking to him more now, him and his son's mentors. He couldn't help it. His kits were his world and he was going to make sure they all made it to be warriors. He wasn't about to lose another one.

"I'm done Leaffur," Sweetkit shouts as she made her way closer to her mentor and father. "Hi Thornfur!" The she-cat said pushing up against her father in an affectionate way, making the large intimidating tom look soft and caring. A rare sight without his kin near.

Leaffur was slightly taken aback by the warrior's harsh tongue. He was a friendly warrior not used to others acting like that. "Don't worry Thornfur, I would never do anything to insult Sweetpaw. I believe she has a lot of potential and I will teach her everything she needs to know to become a warrior." The brown tabby said with confidence.

He saw his apprentice appear from the den and rush over to them. "I'm done Leaffur!" She shouts. "Hi Thornfur." Sweetpaw says rubbing against her father. Leaffur had to hold down a purr of laughter at the large tom. Sweetpaw was his first apprentice and he didn't really her family against him for mentoring her.

"Now Sweetpaw, today I'm going to show you the territory. I will be waiting near the entrance when you're ready." He meowed. The brown tabby got up, gave a curt nod to Sweetpaw's father, and went to sit by the entrance.

Sweetkit new by Thornfur's posture he was on edge about Leaffur, but she wasn't in the mood to handle him. He would get over it when she told him about her training. Hopefully.

The large she-cat nodded her head to Leaffur as he left, "Sweetpaw be nice to Leaffur," the large tabby said as he left to check on Thrushheart and Antpounce. Once the large tabby left Sweetpaw's real size could be seen; no longer was she small looking but rather quite large.

"I'll be nice when I can," Sweetpaw muttered as she left to meet her new mentor. "Where to first Leaffur?"

"I thought we could explore the territory and borders of Leafclan." Leaffur said, leading the apprentice out the entrance of the camp into the birch forest that is their home. The large cat turned to Sweetpaw "First we will head to the Sunsetclan border." Leaffur said, heading to the right of the camp. He glanced back to make sure Sweetpaw was following.
