A silver tom walked inside the camp carrying two rabbits on his jaw, that's all he had managed to catch in his very long morning hunt, the animals were thin and couldn't really satiate anyone, well, perhaps a kit... but then, kits had their mothers to feed them. Icepelt left the prey in their rightful places before picking up a small mouse for himself, he looked for a place where the snow wasn't too deep before laying down, his short fur not providing much protection in the cold weather, but he didn't had much choice in the matter, he started eating silently observing as clan life happened around him and hoping that leafbare would end soon.

Thrushstar yawned as he sat outside of his den, observing his Clanmates at work. Who would he talk to today? Lately, he'd been trying to get more acquainted with the various warriors in WhisperClan, and he peered around, looking for cats to chat with.

Ah, Icepelt. Standing up, he approached the other tom, flicking his tail in greeting. "Hello Icepelt," he said pleasantly, "how are you doing today? Well, I hope? Would you like to go on a walk with me?"

Icepelt looked up surprised with the new voice, he had been lost in thoughts and didn't noticed the approach of the other tom, and truth be told, not many cats came to chat with him. "Hello Trushstar." The silver warrior replied with his usual calm voice not letting any particular emotion show. "As well as anyone can be with all this snow" He said simply before taking another bite of the mouse, the invite for a walk wasn't exactly common, he tried imagining any reason to why the leader would want or need to talk with him, had he done something wrong? Well, only one way to find out. "Sure, just let me finish this." With a few quick bites the mouse was gone and Icepelt was ready to go out again. "Lead the way" the silver male said and waited to follow Trushstar.

Thrushstar dipped his head and slipped ahead of Icepelt, silently feeling a bit disgusted-- there was no need for Icepelt to finish that mouse so quickly. I wasn't in any hurry. "Okay, then," he said lightly, and began to head out, stopping a bit to wait for the other tom. "I've been meaning to get more acquainted with my Clanmates," he said casually, making sure to put emphasis on "Clanmates." He wished to be treated no differently than any other ordinary WhisperClan warrior. "And I want to get to know you more. So, if I may ask, how are you doing, Icepelt? Everything okay? Life going well?"

The silver male followed after the leader silently, he had no idea what was the other tom intent but it was made celar soon enough, Trushstar wanted to know him better, suddenly Icepelt regretted coming to this walk but chose to say nothing about it, it couldn't be that bad right? Or it could, well, he would deal with his thoughts later, right now he had to pay attention to the other cat words. "I have been doing fine, thank you for asking." He said at first but of course Thrushstar would want to hear more, otherwise this whole thing would have no point. "My mate is happy as always, I have no idea how any cat can be that happy with all this snow... My kits have become apprentices and didn't caused any trouble until now, I can't complain of anything"

He stayed silent for a while then, trying to enjoy the walk even if he wanted nothing more than curl up somewhere warm and take a nap, hunting in leafbare was strangely more tiring than any other season for the tom, perhaps it was just his feelings towards the snow that made him so tense, not that it mattered in this moment." And how is your leadership going?" Icepelt asked looking to the other tom but tried to keep attention on the path, he didn't wanted to be caught by surprise if anything decided to show up.

"Tiring," Thrushstar said, smiling. There were so many things he could've said, but did he really want to let out all his feelings when he didn't even know Icepelt that well? He would've comfortably ranted on and on in front of Cinderstep or Sunfeather, but Icepelt wasn't like any of them... yet. And Thrushstar wasn't sure if he would like the tom at all.

"I'm glad you're doing well," he continued, flicking his tail as he walked. The chilly air felt somewhat welcome, even if he was visibly shivering. It was, at least, a break from running around constantly. "We need all the positive cats we can get, even now, with the greencough and leafbare. I feel like it hit us hardest, but I'm glad we have help and I know that others care about us. I trust that you're working your hardest, Icepelt? You've got the makings of a fine warrior. Is there anything you'd like to talk about?"

The tom nodded agreeing with the leader words, the clan was indeed going trought a difficult time but they were working around it with somehow. "You did a very good job keeping the clan in order even with the lack of medicine cats, asking for help was a good move that not every leader would make and it saved a lot of lives" The silver male looked to the leader. "I don't envy the position you were put in, but I respect and appreciate your decision, I got sick myself and if Nightpoppy was not here I'm not sure if I would have survived." Icepelt made a small pause then letting his words in the air for a few moments. "I have been doing what I can, I do my best to hunt and train my apprentices so they will be good warriors and help the clan the best they can, things are going back as they were before, I just hope this moment of peace will last longer this time." He said turning his eyes back to the path ahead of them.

"Well, everyone has their strength in themselves," Thrushstar said lightly, not knowing exactly how to respond. "I'm glad that you're contributing. It's all I ask for you. I hope the peace will last too, and with your help, we can make it last even longer. It's all our job to spread happiness to one another. If we don't, then we won't be a Clan. We're bound by a loyalty to once another, and even if you're not particularly close with everyone else, know (if you don't already) that you are part of a Clan that cares about you. If there's anything you need-- ask. You've contributed a lot to this Clan, and I'm sure anyone would be glad to return the favor. Live a little, make some friends, start a family, fight every once a while-- that's Clan life, eh? What would we be without it? We would all just be a bunch of independent loners. but we're not, and that's what makes Clan life the best life there is."
