Training Troubles (Babs, Ice, open)

Blackpine's amber eyes watched the surrounding rocks patiently as she sat and waited for her apprentice to arrive. She had told Swiftpaw to meet her here in the territory by sunrise, and so Blackpine trusted that the apprentice would arrive on time. As for the location, the black and white she-cat had thought that this place would be the perfect spot to test out any sort of practice moves: it was a a series of large, flat, table-top rocks that spread out for some ways to create a nice clear surface without any drops or crevices in between. Some several cats-lengths behind her, the rocks would start to become an upward rocky slope, gradually leading to the towering climb that would take a cat to the abandoned look out. It was a place her mentor had taken her when she had trained due to the decreased risk of a cat falling, tripping or stumbling over rocks while trying to grasp the basics of training. It was also remote, often quiet, and the larger flat rocks allowed for training for flatter territories if a cat planned on preparing for an invasion into another camp. As for battles along the rocks, the rock-strewn slope nearby could provide a good place to begin as well. Overall, she agreed it to be a good choice with the training she had planned to start with. Now all that was left, was to wait for Swiftpaw.

A large black tabby she-cat padded easily across the rocky terrain, her big paws steady and sure in their tread. While it wasn't sunrise just yet - Swiftpaw did have the good sense to follow her mentor's instructions, after all - the blue, pre-dawn light was enough to illuminate her path. The young apprentice waved her long tail idly as she paused momentarily, dark copper eyes squinting narrowly to pick out Blackpine's white-and-black fur.

Spotting the Talonclan warrior, Swiftpaw strode forward confidently with her ears upright. Excitement jumped within her. The black tabby was eager for more training. She did not stop again until she stood before her mentor, dark eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Good morning, Blackpine!"
