Sootbriar had finally reached warriorhood, finally. It felt like it had taken ages -- too long that she was a kit. Too long as an apprentice. but finally, she was a warrior, with a warrior's name . . . . and an wild, and adventurous streak that stretched as far as the sea. A streak that had gotten her in so much trouble as she grew up. From fighting a fox in the name of defending a friend, to uncovering a skull with massive teeth (a site she still had fun on digging up - uncovering more and more of the skull and body of the long dead creature. It was currently this very skull that she sat in front of.
No longer did it scare her with it's sheer size - she now larger than it's teeth - although the skull was many times bigger than the petite, long furred black female. Her bobtail wagged quickly as her gaze traveled from the skull, to the exposed beginnings of a back, and a single arm with small claws reaching out. The claws weren't as scary as the skull itself. She was almost certain her claws were bigger . . . well, not really - but still, it had small claws (she'd be changing that thought once she dug up a hind leg). but either way, her own personal jurassic park of fossils was coming along nicely.
Her gaze turned, locking onto the newest discovery that turned the site from a single dinosaur into Jurassic Park. All that stuck up so far where odd plates coming from a partially covered spine, and a small head that was about the size of her body. It was a new, and strange beast - and as soon as it had been dug up - she had called for the only other cat she knew who dug holes - the very cat that got her hooked on digging up pretty things - and scary things apparently. She'd told him of this new creature that she was uncovering - near the first thing with sharp teeth. Now she was waiting for her friend's arrival to see what he thought. Her eyes gleamed as she looked at her hard work, tail wagging faster. She couldn't wait to see what Heronsplash thought . . . . And hopefully he'd be willing to work on this joint project with her again. It had been a long time since they had . . .
