Silverpaw was bored. He'd already gone out that morning with his mentor Fallenstorm but now the older tom was busy. Leaving young Silverpaw to find something to do on his own. Which was never a good idea. Pacing the clearing he glanced around in the hopes to see one of his littermates who might want to explore or even just a fellow apprentice. Eager to get out of camp and do something but not really wanting to go on his own. Scuffing the ground with a white forepaw he sits his rump down on the rather soggy ground. It was the rain season and mud and mud puddles could be found everywhere. Green eyes the spitting image of his mother Nightbriar's the young tom scans the clearing once more.

Snailpaw

Snailpaw wandered around the clearing. The air is starting to warm up from the long cold season. She smiled happily. For the first time in forever she longed to hear the soft mutter of cats and the cool wind pushing on her. but she was deaf, she could never hear anything. She closed her eyes holding back tears the were falling from her eyes. Shaking her head she thought don't dwell in what you can't do. She sighed and then stood up looking for a cat to do something with so she could get her mind off of being deaf. She saw a apprentice. She thought I think that's Sliverpaw. She walked over to him and smiled. She turned back-words hoping to spot his sister so she could talk to Sliverpaw she waited.

Grasspaw

Grasspaw was laying in the clearing. The ground was warm from the sun. Closing her eyes happily she purred. She sat up to see of his sister was outside doing something. She saw her looking back at her. Grasspaw sprang up and ran over to her sister. He licked her sister's shoulder as to tell here I'm here. She turned to the cat and said," Hello Sliverpaw, this is my sister Snailpaw wants to go do something with you...". She paused but said," She's deaf so I have to talk with her". She smiled and waited for Sliverpaw to answer her.

OOC: Maybe later on Sliverpaw and Grasspaw might become friends, crushes/mates?

Silverpaw felt a surge of excitement when he spotted a fellow apprentice approaching. As she got closer however he realized that the she-cat was Snailpaw a deaf apprentice. How am I suppose to talk to her? He thought smiling back some as not to be rude. He waves his tail, but realizes she was no longer looking at him. Blinking in surprise he watches as another apprentice joins them. He grins some glad to have another apprentice who spoke in his company. He didn't like to be rude but he had no idea how to communicate with a deaf cat. It seemed however Grasspaw had solved that problem for him. " Hey Grasspaw!" He says as she approaches. He listens to her words and cocks his skull eying Snailpaw. " Oh she wants to do something? Like what?" He asks glad he had a translator. " Oh wait!" He says pelt prickling excitedly. " I've got an idea! How do you feel about mud?" He inquires looking briefly at Snailpaw then Grasspaw, hoping they weren't too girly for mud.

Grasspaw

Grasspaw giggled at what he said, but it sounded pretty good. She smiled and said," I want to feel the mud, then I can make brown pawprints". She bounded over to one of the deeper mud puddles and stuck her paw in the thick, brown mud. It felt weird as it cover her whole entire paw. She smiled happily and then lifted it out of the mud. She walked over to a tall birch tree. Thrusting her paw forward it landed on the tree. She held her paw there and then said," 1...2...3...4...5". She lifted her paw from the tree and put it under her. She saw a dark brown pawprint on the tree. She looked at Sliverpaw and said," Look! I made a pawprint"! She glanced at his sister to see if she wanted to do it.

Snailpaw

Snailpaw twisted her face as she saw her sister drip her paw in the mud and put it on a tree. She shook her head and looked at her sister and flicked her tail at camp. Se hoped her sister understood. She ran back to camp. She disappeared.

Silverpaw is delighted when Grasspaw laughs and runs to get a big glob of mud. Laughing he grins and follows after her. He waves his tail at Snailpaw to join them before stuffing both his paws into a mud puddle. Glancing up he watches as Grasspaw makes paw prints on a tree. He snorts, " This is more fun!" He says and rearing up on his hind paws he smears mud on Grasspaw's shoulder his eyes dancing with mischief. Unaware of Snailpaw's disappearance Silverpaw hops backwards and wriggles his haunches in the air playfully wondering what Grasspaw would do.

Grasspaw burst out laughing. She said," Oh, you're in for it now"! She grabbed a huge glob of sticky, dark mud. Flinging at her, she had aimed for his face. This was the most fun that she had ever. She was always with Snailpaw, talking for her to other cats. She really liked not having to watch her sister, just have fun. She ducked down low to the ground. mud got onto her belly but she didn't care. She got ready for Sliverpaw's glob of mud.

Silverpaw purrs with amusement when Grasspaw speaks. Knowing what was coming next he managed to duck just in time the majority of the mud going over his head and splattering over a rock. Laughing he sticks out his tongue at her and waggles his tail teasingly. " You throw like a girl!" He teases green eyes sparkling. Running he jumps and splashes through a mud puddle right next to her sending a wave of sticky mud her way.

Grasspaw chuckled at Sliverpaw and said," Well, I guess that means a girl throws really well"! She scooped up a huge glob of mud and flung it as hard as she possibly could. Trying to aim for his face it flew from her paws. She felt thick mud hit her side and looked at Sliverpaw jumping in the mud puddles. She smiled and said," Two can play at that game". She jumped around in mud puddles sending them in the tom's way. She waited to see if the mud hit him.

Silverpaw snorts and opens his maw to correct her, but just then she lobbed a pawful of mud right at his face. Eyes widening he attempts to duck but the mud ends up hitting his forehead and sliding down his face. " Oh your gonna pay for that!" He huffs attempting to shake the mud off, his green eyes sparkling. He feels a splash of mud hit his side as she joined him in the muddle puddles. Charging foreword he pounces and sends a wave of muddy brown gunk her way. Now covered in mud his silver tabby fur was almost all brown but he didn't seem to care as his tail lashed through the air playfully.

Grasspaw laughed happily as her mud hit Sliverpaw. The once sliver tom was brown. She smiled looking down at her own pelt. It was covered with mud to, some of it was dripping from her pelt and it was forming a small puddle under her. She flicked her ears playfully and jumped up happily again. She throw one more glob of sticky mud and then saw the sun sinking down. She said," Sliverpaw, we should go wash off, the sun's setting". She started towards a puddle. She waited for Sliverpaw to follow her in to the puddle.

Silverpaw dodges the last glob of mud flung his way sticking his tongue out at Grasspaw playfully. At her words however he glances to the sky, noting that it was indeed getting late. Huffing he slumps his shoulders with disappointment wishing they didn't have to go back. but knowing they should he followed after his new found friend, both looking like muddy messes. Reaching a clean puddle not filled with mud Silverpaw attempts to wash away the mud which was caked all over him. but after a few moments of splashing about the puddle was as muddy brown and he was still filthy. " Maybe we should try the shallow pools?" He suggests to her his long fur sagging under all the water making him look rather comical.

Grasspaw nodded. She smiled at the young tom and said," This is the most fun I've had since... ever. I'm always going wherever Snailpaw wants to go". Suddenly a thought flashed in her mind. She had this much fun before... with her father, Addertail of Talonclan. She stopped dead in her tracks, she had just remembered ow the Warrior's code states that cats can't take on mates from another clan. He gasped and then looked at Sliverpaw. She needed to tell him, she needed this off her chest. She looked at Sliverpaw her green eyes meeting his. She mewed," Sliverpaw, my mother did something very bad". She waited for the young tom's answer.

Silverpaw didn't hesitate to start towards the direction of the shallow pools. His green gaze looking back at Grasspaw as she spoke. " Oh she doesn't like to have fun?" He asks her imagining life with a deaf sibling would be difficult. Leaping over a fallen log the tom continues along the worn trail that lead straight to the shallow pools. His long silver tabby fur still sodden with mud. Suddenly his attention is caught by Grasspaw's gasp and he turns around expecting to see something to explain it. but there was no monster and she hadn't tripped. Puzzled he flickers his ears up at her words. " Er she did?" He says totally puzzled. Why was she telling him this?He wondered his fluffy tail flickering.
