Boulderfall breathed in the warm greenleaf air, very happy that leafbare was over with. Even though it was always somewhat cold living in the mountains, in leafbare the wind was almost unbearable. Shaking out his short blue-grey tabby pelt, the large warrior trotted over to the apprentice den, recalling that he had been given a second apprentice. Maybe he would take his new apprentice out with Hawkpaw sometime? Perhaps they would push each other.

Sticking his head into the den, Boulderfall cheerfully called out, "Whitepaw? If you can hear me, I'll be waiting out here for you! Time to start your training!" Satisfied that he had been loud enough, Boulderfall backed out of the den and sat down to wait.

Hearing his mentors voice made Whitepaw get up and bolt out of the den right away. It was time for him to start training. "What are we gonna do today!? Go hunting, battle training ,are we gonna tour the territory!?" Whitepaw asked unable to hide the excitement in his voice

Boulderfall blinked in amusement at his new apprentice's enthusiasm. Ah, to be young and just about to start my training again. "First things first," the large warrior meowed, gently nudging Whitepaw toward the fresh-kill pile. "You need to eat something before we head out. Breakfast is an essential part of any warrior's daily routine!" Boulderfall padded cheerfully over to the pile and selected a plump mouse. He settled down to eat and waved Whitepaw over with his tail, indicating that the young apprentice could share with him.

As he chewed his breakfast, Boulderfall ran through the options of what to do for the day. Perhaps starting with hunting would be best, it sometimes took awhile for apprentices to learn the unusual hunting methods of the Clan, simply because they were so high up.

Running to his mentor's side he lied down next to him and took a bite of the mouse "I am so excited!" He said with a mouthful of food gulping it down quickly
"My first day of training!"He he said still unable to hide his excitement.

Boulderfall purred softly before flicking his apprentice's ear lightly with the tip of his tail. "Hold on to that excitement and don't ever let it fade." Finishing his meal, the grey-blue tom sat up and quickly groomed himself, noticing a spot of matted fur on his haunches. "Alright," he said when Whitepaw finished eat as well. "I decided that we're going to start with hunting. Since you haven't been out of camp before, stick close to me and don't wander off. Traversing the mountain side can be dangerous until you know where to place your paws, and I don't want you to fall."

Whitepaw nodded "sounds good" he meowed waiting for his mentor to lead the way as he waited he thought about what kind of prey he might be able to catch. He knew that most cats who bring in prey usually bring in mice voles or squirrels but whitepaw hoped to catch some sort of bird
