A Little Lack Of Grace ||| Beepaw and Fireeagle // TRAINING!

Beepaw was not expecting a battle training session, especially not today.
but, it had probably come to their mentors attention that they've been quite behind in their battle training.
Beepaw, although strong, can't quite execute some battle moves without falling flat on their face, and with all the hunting and trying to procrastinate the kind of training they're the worst at, they were cornered at this point.
Beepaw was nervously waiting for their mentor to give direction as they reached the Murky Hollow.
The hollow wasn't quite helpful, because although they were used to the muddy, slippery grounds of Stormclan territory, but this was much worse than the other parts of Stormclan territory they were accustomed to, and they were already were having enough trouble with their balance to begin with.
Beepaw's whiskers twitched with anixety.
This was just a regular outing, another casual training session, yet they were so nervous, they knew they were gonna make a fool of themselves today.
but they couldn't just refuse battle training.

"So, how do we... Start?", they mewed.

Beepaw awaited a response.

OOC: Yes it's fine :3 Just reminding you, the hollow itself is quite dangerous for new apprentices, due to the slippery ground, so you might want to change your post a bit.

"So how do we...start?"

Fireeagle turned around from gazing at the waterfall to look at his apprentice. Sure, the Muddy Hollow isn't the best palce to start battle training, most mentors preferred to teach how to fight on normal ground first, but Fireeagl belived, if Beepaw could master fighting on the wet, slippery ground first, then learning how to fight on normal, hard ground would be a breeze. "Well, before we actually do anything, I'll tell you some stuff," he said with a cocky grin. "Every clan has their different style of fighting. I think you should know that by now. LeafClan prides themselves in their climbing-fighting techniques. MidnightClan depends on concealment. WhisperClan is known for their speed. but I think, in all the fighting techniques, StormClan has the most formidable. We have the skill of not only fighting gracefully on normal dirt or grass, but also on the slippery, wet mudlands that we see every day in our territory." Fireeagle then made his way gracefully across the stream coming from the waterfall. "One thing all StormClan cats should know how to do is swimming. The water here isn't very deep, its rather shallow actually, so try swimming across." he called to Beepaw from the other side of the water.

They listened intently, still with their whiskers nervously twitching.


Swimming.
They thought.

That doesn't seem difficult.

They were a little bit clumsy with it, but they could at least paddle, from the few attempts they've made before.

"Okay, then." They crept up to the edge of the stream.
They reached at paw out over the water, hesitating slightly to put it in.
They dipped their paw into the stream, and then quickly plunged in, paws landing on the stream's bed below.
They lifted their forelegs and began paddling along the stream, kicking with their hind legs as they went.
It was tiring, but also enjoyable.
They loved swimming.
They loved the feeling of water on their fur, although they knew they were going to feel waterlogged and they would have their fur clung to their skin once they were through with this, they could care less, they loved the water, as most Stormclan cats quite often naturally did.

it was especially nice the stream washed the mud off their paws, even if just for now.

They didn't know what direction to go, so they simply followed the current of the stream, splashing along as they kept afloat.

Fireeagle chuckled as he watched his apprentice paddle down the stream, seeming to like the water.
He remembered the first time he swam. He was scared of water at the time. but he had grown to like water, as all StormClan cats should
"Hey!" he called after Beepaw, humor in his voice. "You're going to get into the other clan's territories if you continue swimming that way! Come up in to the shore!" He beaconed his apprentice his way. "I'll teach you basic fighting skills when you come out."

Beepaw realized the stream was taking them a little too far down.
They turned, swimming rather slowly against the current, splashing more as they fiercely paddled against it.
This was going to be the part that was going to be difficult for today's training lesson— and they knew it.
They trudged out of the stream, their fur sodden and soaked, dripping down.
They shook the water off themselves not-so-carefully, splashing their mentor.

The ginger tom watched with amusement as he watched hims new apprentice swim against the current, the image again triggering past memories.
Fireeagle jumped over a bit when the frigid water hit him; not out of fear, but surprise. He quickly smiled though, and gestured over to a patch of slippery land. Let's go over there, Beepaw. And practice basic fighting techniques."
OOC: Seriously though the muse is gone.
