Fight With A Fox (Birchflower/Foxpaw Only)

[Midnight]

Sunheart limped into the medicine den, "Gingerleaf? Blizzardnight and I got into a fight with a fox.." His forearm was bleeding and his voice pushed out of his throat with what little strength he had left.

Gingerleaf turned around and her eyes widened
"Oh no...Well Hold on..Sit down right there" she mewed and shuffled to the back of the medicine cats den searching through her herbs. "Here we go" she mewed and grabbed the cobwebs, padding them down onto his wound and then taking them off once they were soaked,she padded back to get more.

[Foxpaw]

Blizzardnight collapsed beside her mate without a word, finally letting the darkness overtake her. She let the feel of Sunheart's fur against her's, his breathe, and his familiar scent soothe her. Her body ached from when the fox flung her off, and her fur felt sticky around the two puncture wounds where the fox dug its teeth in.

[Midnight]

"Gingerleaf!" Sunheart snapped, "Ignore me for a bit- Blizzardnight needs the herbs more!" His voice was urgent and he crouched beside his mate, licking her flank. "It's okay..." The tom murmured, trying to comfort the she-cat.

"Oh no!!" mewed gingerleaf as she saw Blizzardnight. She grabbed more cobwebs and padded them onto Blizzardnight's wounds and sunheart's. "Lay down and rest.." she mewed and gave it to them nudging two poppyseeds towards them.

Blizzardnight sighed, placing her tail on her mate's back soothingly. "I'm fine, Sunheart, really..." she mewed soothingly. She heard the scuffling as Gingerleaf placed the poppy seeds in front of her, but she made no move to lick them up. She was too scared to do so while in this state and trembled slightly.

[Midnight]

Sunheart's ear twitched insistently, "No, you're not." The tom meowed. He licked his paw a bit and picked the poppy seeds up, then put his paw by Blizzardnight's mouth, "Eat them- they'll make you and the kits feel better." Sunheart shut his mouth and snapped his attention up to Gingerleaf, then gulped nervously. Did Blizzardnight tell any other cat? He wondered, hoping that he didn't ruin the surprise. Well.. It can't really go unnoticed forever, right? The tom gulped, hoping Blizzardnight wouldn't be angry.

Blizzardnight's vision was now starting to get back to normal and the first thing she saw was her mate's horrified expression. He looked like he just swallowed and mouse bone and was choking on it. Mouse-brain! Who does he think told me I was having kits in the first place? she thought amused. "Sunheart, how could you tell..." she mewed trying to put on her best fierce expression. "...the cat who told me I was having kits in the first place!" Her fierceness dissolved into a smile almost immediately. "Silly furball," she purred, leaning over to give him an affectionate lick before lapping up the poppy seeds.

[Midnight]

At "How could you tell..." Sunheart's eyes widened even more and he leaped up, yelping. "I'm so, so sorry, Blizzardnight! I had no idea-" He cut himself off as Blizzardnight finished her sentence, "...T-that Gingerleaf told you to begin with..." He purred in amusement and gently tried to hit Blizzardnight's ear with a paw, "How was I to know?" Sunheart blinked at her.

Gingerleaf chuckled and smiled
"I knew she was going to have kits..I wouldnt give a queen anything that would hurt the kits.." she smiled and paused "Er-I mean warrior thats expecting" she laughed and stood
"Now if those wounds start to get infected just come and Ill make them feel better again" ( XD) Her whiskers twitched and she padded additional dressings (cobwebs) onto their wounds. "now I would steer clear of foxes from now on Blizzardnight..serious damage could be done that would indanger you and your kits.." she mewed with a serious face.

[Midnight]

"She will definitely stay away from foxes," Sunheart said for Blizzardnight, looking at his mate sternly. He dipped his head, "Thank you, Gingerleaf." The tom walked over to the entrance and stopped, waiting for Blizzardnight.
